I bought a tiny gaming PC from Aliexpress and it's way better than I was expecting. With it's GTX 1650 and Intel i9 CPU it is surprisingly powerful for it's size.

please do a liquid cooled follow up, that would be sick
plus dual channel ram
now
Do it god damn it
+ UNDERVOLT CPU & GPU ! ! !
i rather see that mini computer getting the liquid metal treatment on the CPU and GPU
So basically we got scammed by AliExpress and got an actually good PC?
Who would figure...
Well, this wasn't Wish-video.
@Awhoo Thunder it's a great pc.
It has a gpu and 8 core cpu.
It's wouldn't be hotter if there were more fan or it was on an normal pc case.
@Awhoo Thunder
Well If I own it I would be perfectly fine with a because I'm not an heavy gamer and. Also compared to hp pavilion gaming laptop, it's way better. And people are not using 8 core cpu to game.
@Awhoo Thunder also good luck finding an gtx 1650 and i9 for that price
@@DOHA104p3 don't compare a laptop i9 to a desktop i7
haha solid reference :D Thanks man
Thanks for watching the video! Let me know if you want to take this PC for a spin. :P

You should try a case mod to uncork the fan inputs and maybe put some kind of "hifi" style feet under it to give it some room to pull in air and see if that helps temps.
yes please do that ! :-)
Yea - more practical than liquid cooled. -
I would also like to see this.
i would like to se that to, makes way more sense than liquid cooling.
@@erikpedersen4146 no one says he can't do both. Not everyone would be willing to or able to mod their case to improve airflow though.
Would be nice to see if improving airflow will lower temps.
Weve waited centuries for this video only OGs know the wait

These unique lil devices are my favourite videos that you do! It's so cool to see lil devices becoming so capable at a somewhat lower and more affordable price point... Makes me just that much more excited for the future of tech and gaming as far as accessibility, affordability, and portability goes... Thanks for the video, Dawid! Cool stuff as always, man!
Before liquid cooling, you should cut an opening in the bottom of the case where the fans should be drawing air in and glue some nylon mesh over the hole, Giving the fans relatively unrestricted airflow while having some dust prevention and see how much that improves thermals.
Awesome. Glad to see you reviewing this.
Been thinking for weeks about buying one of these as a work-at-home pc (data engineering and programming). Great to have all those cores for multi threading as well as a capable gpu for apps that can use it.
Sounds like a cooling mod by drilling a few small air holes over the top of the fans would do a lot to help with those in game and stress load test temperatures. I would suggest using something in the 1 to 2 mm ( 1/8 inch ) size to drill out a small pattern of holes over the tops of the 2 fans that would really do good to lower the temps and give those fans some room to breath.
Terrible case design, given the fan location
I love how you give video sneak peaks in your UA-cam stories. Always gotta get my (nearly) daily dose of Dawid
That's great to hear. I'll do them more often. 👍
Definitely do the liquid cooling on it and just for grins see what happened to the temps if you keep the cover off to keep the fans exposed.
I love the dead pan one liners, i never expect them coming.
It would be good to see comparison results of undervolting the cpu with Intel XTU or Throttlestop and the GPU with afterburner or similar.
^ This. Undervolting might work great in this case. Used to own a dell g7 7588 with a i5 8300h and a gtx 1050 and Temps were awful until I undervolted. It would be great to see undervolting results
Liquid metal + undervolted would probably allow it to hold max clocks, I hate how so many people don't test undervolting on SFF PC/Laptop reviews the free performance gains are huge from doing it..
Some intel cpus have locked voltage now thanks to the plundervolt attack... yay
@@andrewmcewan9145 It's every Intel CPU, but you can easily unlock them by modifying the bios.
Just another place where AMD could swing big on Intel if they allowed undervolting on their mobile chips, but they don't..
@@3rd.world.eliteAJ I'm pritty sure icelake and tigerlake have the voltage controller blocked with microcode. I dont have any laptop that new and never had any issue using throttle stop to undervolt chips between haswell and coffeelake without a bios mod. It woud be cool if fivr lock was a bios toggle and modding bios would work but unfortunately thats not how it seems to be.
Nice! I wonder how it would perform if you modify the case so the fans could get better airflow. Like square holes over the intakes. Could fancy it up by adding a filter over the hole.
Great video as usual, always enjoy your content. I definitely would like to see a liquid cooling follow up. Also how awesome der8auer chimed in. Think that means your big leagues now!
I love these Aliexpress videos. Keep them coming

nah the word bussin is used when talking about food
I would actually like to see an undervolt of the CPU with the current cooling solution
But liquid cooling it would be fun too!
Dawid! Fantastic video as always! Please do a liquid cooled follow up! I would love to see what the differences in temperature would be!
Just found your channel. Love the content man.
When he said “here’s my hand for scale” I genuinely thought he was going to say it *too* is small 😂
LIQUID COOL AND OVERCLOCK THE SNOT OUT OF IT!
I am actually interested in this is an alternative to budget SFF or however you want to call them...
Well, budget it's not.
It would be an alternative to an sff. Noise level aside, it's a decent option at least.
Chill with the caps dude it's not that serious.
Try a spread test to make sure the heatsink is making full, proper contact. Also, try running it elevated with the bottom off to see how temps improve with zero airflow restriction.
Nice video! I'd love to see a review of the unit you thought you were getting. The one with the desktop graphics card installed.
I kinda want to see a video where you give those fans a larger vent and bigger case feet
Box Tape Man works hard to put food on his family’s table and he can do it without your criticism!
fr he struggling he get paid per package he's trying to make the most
Thanks for doing this video. it seems like a decent choice for the price
I was really hoping to see the die shots from underneath that heatsink. Nice video!
That actually looks like a pretty sweet little PC, and it can game pretty well. I mean yes the temperatures are going to be high, look how small it is but even so. It seems to handle fairly modern titles okay, I think if you were looking for a decent starter PC and on a budget, or something to tide you over until the end of the drought on PC parts...This could be a decent compromise.
Need that liquid cooling video, Dawid. "The little PC that could...or couldn't. Find out next week!"
You are making the best tech related videos,i swear!
The comparisons that fly out this man's mouth are on point.
Mini Pc from Aliexpress :
Dawid : LETS WATER COOL IT !
Vs Intel 11 NUC, it looks quite similar in performance and the temps are lower on that system. Would love to see a head to head comparison tho!
Oh absolutely we need some additional power tuning and cooling videos on this thing
Doing a couple of minor mods could improve the cooling and noise significantly I would bet. One remove the stock case feet and install some taller ones. Two modify the bottom panel so the fans have some vents directly above them. Should be easy enough as its a snap off plastic panel. Would be interesting to see how much of a difference that would make.

ive actually been using this since january, its genuinely super good and ive been using it as a stream pc

In my experience trying to repaste my PS4, I have discovered that applying regular thermal paste on an exposed CPU dye results in something called the pump-out effect. It's basically when the thermal paste starts oozing from the sides of the chip due to expansion and compression along with a lack of friction.
It doesn't matter how much paste you apply or how you do it it will always come out from the sides.
The solution is to use a higher viscosity paste or for a more robust solution, you can use thermal grizzly carbonaut.
I used the latter and worked like a charm.
Ofcourse we want a follow-up video.
Just throw a massive tower cooler like you did to that laptop😂
Massive V8 tower cooler on a 35 watt i5.. you couldn't get that above 40c.. im sure of it. Lol
That will happen if my AIO idea fails. 😁
i bought it with the winter sales today after weeks of daily lurking 😂❤️ can't wait.

Our prices on AliExpress are more favorable, this link: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002423422145.html
this isnt a bad price, its about 800 bucks USD for the one in this video, I just want to know what brand the motherboard is cause it could be made very cheap and last like a month
Knowing Chinese products, it's likely from the same factories that make boards for generic laptops. So not top quality but not trash either.
Its shit for $800. For around that a 4600h and 1650ti would perform better. And come with a display. And keep temps about 70 on gpu and 80 on cpu. With tuning and repasting expect a 10 degree reduction.
This guy got scammed.
@@siyzerix wouldn't have thunderbolt though...
@@jaykoerner How useful is that shit? And again, the laptop is CHEAPER and more POWERFUL. This product is fucking useless.
@@siyzerixeh personal preference, in 5 years time that laptop is stuck at 720p for gaming and this machine can do 4k with a 400$ gpu upgrade, there is a usecase for it, at least I would take it over something less expansion

Yes please. Lets see what a different cooling solution can do for it.
im really intrested in this pc (specifcally for emulation) would anybody say this pc is worth it?
No. Just build a regular one. You really don't want to get issues with cooling

Great video as usual! please do a liquid cooled follow up Dawid, it would be nice!
Beard is looking good!!
Pleaseeeee.... Put another ram stick, otherwise my OCD will go berserk :) great work!
Same. I would not have even tested it with a single chip. What a total waste of life. (Single channel ram... not the guy)
Yeah, could have added another stick for a final test. He better add it for the future liquid cooling video at least.
Awesome. What this told me is that for applications that max out the CPU/GPU, extra thermal paste and/or re-pasting or reseating your chips will not really lower chip temperatures, just as I expected. For 'regular' operations they might make your PC not work as hard with the fan, and you'll have less noise, but that's another story.
This seems like a great compact PC!
At this point in size, just get a gaming laptop for cheap.
@Usman Bamgbola First 2 that came up on my local classifieds were $690 and $700 for gaming laptops. The $700 had a 1060 6gb and the $690 one had a 1050.
BDSM fan choking xD

The metal bracket is a vesa mount to fit on the back of your monitor
Great video! Thanks for sharing, you got a new subscriber.
Let's see the following up video Dawid!
I would've used a hole saw and drilled holes the size of the fans on the intake portion of the case, then glued some mesh in, right where the fan intakes are and watch those temps fall.
That's one nice looking computer that pack a decent amount of power 👍
I wonder how the temperatures would look if it was raised a bit and a bunch of holes drilled in the bottom plate 🙂
Greetings from 🇩🇰
I guess it's good that good computers are available out there you just have to look for them and be willing to pay the shipping and hope that there's no issues with it.
The mounting solution might need a bit of customising, but I'm sure a closed loop water cooling solution might sort out the heat issues.
I'd love to see a lucid cooling follow up
laughed before sponsor info thats when u know its a good video
"A BIOS that would make derbauer blush." Aight im sold
This PC is actually kinda amazing... if you mod that bottom panel for better airflow (which couldn't possibly be that hard) you could easily bring those temps down a lot.
Love that you threw escape from tarkov in there..was thinking of getting one till I saw that..good review
great video, keep them comming cant go wrong with aliexpres, maybe get a watercooling kit from aliexpres to watercool that pc
Signing in for that liquid cooling follow up video. This is interesintg, if anything, for having an AliExpress machine that is actually good
I'd love to see if making it dual channel will affect it as much as your previous video.
Finally Escape from Tarkov Benchmark!!! Thanks Dawid!!!
I would've been curious as to how removing the side panel would affect temperatures, without the fans being choked
I actually have the i9 8950HK S200H unit without the GPU and it absolutely crushes games. I use a egpu set-up. I turned it into a full sized gaming rig.
actually got this for my spear room and mounted it on a back of an old 1080 144hz monitor
I'm amazed you didn't try the first obvious fix. To leave the back of it open so the fans don't choke. I'm looking forward for that and also some liquid metal....then finally move to water cooling.
You should drill holes in the case for better airflow
Hey I love you vids man! I think what you should do before testing is reinstall windows on the system and install the drivers because I feel like it would give a real test on the fps since it looks like they always do something sketch on the windows OS!
Make a followup video. May be replace the bottom part with a mesh for better airflow or an AIO 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Maybe we can 3d print the lower part of the chassis and create a makeshift mount (also makeshift connector) for one 140mm PWM fan.
that should help with the airflow problem.
How about adding some custom ventilation to the case to see it that helps improve the temperature?
I would actually like to see the temps on the i7 version. Without it thernal throttling I think it would be much better.
i think you should mod the case to make air flow a little better, i think cpu temps could possibly improve with it
would love to see you mounting some DIY mcgyver style cooling frankenstein thing xD maybe then some more dual channel ram, try to overclock the gpu then and that should be then a fine mini mashine :D
You know you are a good mechanic when you finish and things look good and you even have a spare screw left
i would like to see the bottom plastic panel modified for better airflow to those dual fans. Just dremel a cut out and put some kind of mesh there. Or even just drill some holes if your lazy.
Follow-up! Let's get those temps in check and see what the little beast can do.
