Oh hell yes. This game had the best music, sound FX, and control of any of the NES series. I still think 4 had the best graphics, but 2 was a absolute 8-bit masterpiece.
It's not pointless. When that "warning" exclamation appears, hitting the SELECT button pauses the game, complete with on-screen hints. This function was later carried on for Mega Man X6, except that you cannot SELECT pause at anytime, unless the "warning" exclamation appears.
I've never thought of going through the bosses in that order. I've always done Metal Man, Wood Man, Air Man, Heat Man, Flash Man, Quick Man, Crash Man, and Bubble Man.
As a kid, I always did Heatman and Quickman last. This would ensure I had item2 and flash stopper for both. Just played this recently and went for Quickman first. I cant believe how hard I thought it was growing up.
Every time I play this, the order that I beat each Robot Master is: Flashman, Quickman, Metalman (Best subweapon to obtain and use through any stage, it hardly runs out), Bubbleman, Heatman, Woodman, Airman, and Crashman. After years of playing this game, it is pretty easy despite of it's difficulty.
I like how this version is nice and clean, I have the actual one on disc, I assume this is emulator, and it has all that Nintendo flicker glitch when there is too much on the screen.

Those damn metal blades are so satisfying.
It'd be funny during the Air Man fight someone played "Can't Beat Airman" in the background!

Why you didn't use the arrange tracks?
Nice gameplay :)
Likes the "true gameplay".
Also have longplay/speedrun of megaman 2 (whitout cheats) in 31m 05s in there:

What is the point of playing through the Complete Works versions without using the arranged music?
Maybe he just searched for the game on PSN and didn't realize it was from the import section, no reason to insult his intelligence.
