Taoism is a philosophical and spiritual tradition that originated in ancient China, attributed to the sage Lao Tzu who is traditionally said to have written the foundational text, the Tao Te Ching.
At its core, Taoism emphasizes living in harmony with the Tao, which can be translated as "the Way" or "the Path." The Tao is considered the fundamental principle that underlies the universe, encompassing both the seen and unseen aspects of existence.

Woke up with a bit of a fever the morning of filming this - That’s why I'm sweating so much 😆 I tried my best to push through because I really wanted to talk about this. I hope you got something out of it.
Feel better soon 😊
You're a very enlightened and inspiring one.. Comforting also to see kindred spirits we think like. Feels less lonesome actually.
This message has been knocking on my door for a long time and I ignored it. This video was confirmation. Thank you.
I think being able to fall asleep is the most common example of this paradoxical effect. I can never fall asleep when I desperately want to but if I want to stay awake then sleep comes easily.
As a fan of Taoism, for a long time, I let time and I allow myself to go with a flow step by step from work to martial arts training, home improvements during personal time off, e.t.c...Just subscribed and hope you continue making videos. Thank you.
i totally agree with you. we found each other at the right time.
I really enjoyed this. Here is the thing, that I'm nervous about right now , but have an inner excitement for, and know that I should do; that is, follow the footsteps of Henry David Thoreau, and live the life described in his book, Walden. Sell up everything, take the plunge and find a similar living situation to that. Not forever, maybe a year 2. I know its what I need and would be a time of profound reflection, peace and meditation ; something akin to a lengthy silent retreat. I'm sure there would be many nice moments like the ones Thoreau experienced ; one example being when he said, "This is a delicious evening, when the whole body is one sense, and imbibes delight through every pore. "
How profound, we do end up with a senses of shame because we are selling ourselves short and we know deep down we deserve better but we need to feel that shame in order to connect to a childhood feeling, that is dormant yet highly active within us
This video was a good wake up thank you
This is what i need to hear ! Thank you so much 🙏

@@joannamielniczek7627 it can also mean what I said depending on which philosophy you’re speaking from
I hope you feel better soon.😊 This message is exactly what I was thinking about recently where I just felt like I had to surrender and flow, and I'm so much happier, and living for each moment makes each moment extra special. I'm not interested in the hustle and bustle, I'm interested in cultivating peace and learning to maintain that flow state even when I'm pushed or moved to feel something else. It used to be scary but not anymore, I've learnt to be the person I needed when I was growing up and moving past or allowing the pain to move through me more effortlessly ❤ loved this video thanks for sharing
Thanks Diane :) I’m all better now. Your words remind me a lot of myself.
@myselfasevan Yes, that is what I thought when I stumbled across your videos. You say exactly what I have been thinking, nice to know I'm not alone :)
ramana maharshi gave a beautiful quote i guess. I don't literally remember but it was something like "riding on a train with your luggage on your head instead of putting it down..the train will carry the luggage" The point is obviously stop trying, just being. Life will unfold anyway and no matter how, it's perfect. Not because of how it unfolds, but because of not resisting the present moment thoroughly. I even think this is the culmination of all wisdom and spirituality, deeply being present. It sounds simple but i guess the depth of a potential application is infinite and at it's deepest point probably what can be called liberation and enlightment
@peterhansen9873 yes I love that analogy from him!
Hope you feel better tea up and rest
Embrace your natural life..life takes care of life.❤
Yeah - - and in my journey I just let nature be - 😮 just be let it flow - even with sex urges and cravings it’s just there - there is nothing I can do - just let it take its course it will go away it seems as if those urges and cravings for us men are just there - it’s gonna happen so it’s just a matter of let it go - if u can defeat the urge and cravings good if not well next time - I just let it flow - it’s like whatever tired of the guilt

chasing and texting people for friendships is a no win strategy. You come as across as very needy, and after awhile, like a stalker.
How do you react if someone insults and offends you in front of others and they laugh?
What do you feel you should do?
@@myselfasevan That's what I'm wondering. How do you think about it? Do you do anything negative in return?
@@meenakumari362 no, I would probably just ignore it and be done with those people
@@myselfasevan
Ok, you don't feel the need to give back the negativity to vent?
@@meenakumari362 “Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.”
Desire YES, Need NO. The Law of reversed effort.
If you talk about Buddhism it m and just what I said
Buddhism has many branches as minds of students are different but is not a philosophy!!!!
You can argue of course but it just telling me that you argue either things which you truly do not know
And it’s on you 😊
Oops. To say that people who "try to push Christianity" on you are not intelligent enough to understand is a grave assumption. Perhaps there is a possibility that your own filters are keeping you from flowing like water and misinterpreting the spirituality of an"other" and their motives are less of a power grab. Perhaps more of a deeper self-awareness that you are able to recognize? No shade intended, only a different perspective.
At the end of the day, the outcome is love no matter what gets you there, Buddhism, Christianity, or even spirituality, all roads end at the same junction. We all have our views, and some people can be overpowering where we can feel a sense of entrapment because it goes against what our thought process is but eventually you see it all leads to the same place, as long as get and see that message we learn to communicate better with each other.
I don't believe in trying to push anything onto anyone either, I believe in the concept of different views and live and let live, whether it's about religion or whatever... I get and agree with what he says, it's just the way he says it that could have been a little less judgemental... 😅
No, he’s correct. There’s no other religion that is so aggressive about having others join their cult than Christianity. They don’t seem to have the consciousness or intelligence to understand that some people have other spiritual beliefs or follow Christianity in a way that’s different from theirs.
I'd say people who "repeatedly" try to push [insert religion/school of spirituality] many, many times is correct assumption in them not having enough wisdom unless it's a once-off encounter... I think he was referring to the former in the context of this video. My rule of thumb is to explain things once or twice but never the third time. I agree everyone has their own path to follow and we should respect it. A family member of mine tried explaining things many times to her friends but they failed to practice... I told her she wasted her breath and she agrees.
Most Christians completely miss Jesus’ teachings.
