Leave those Climbers at home! Go truly Mobile!

- I’m realizing that a lot of my longtime hunting buddies really don’t know what mobile hunting is about. They’re not at all familiar with hunting from a saddle and platform. Growing up hunting in the south it was a tradition to haul a heavy clunky climbing treestand into the woods. It’s an ingrained tradition that has become a rite of passage. I’m telling you to ditch those climbers and get truly mobile. @latitudeoutdoors @unitedoutdoors @buzzardroostsaddles3776 @xopgear @customgearmodifications6963 @OutOnaLimbOutdoors @Trophyline
The original mobile hunter used climbing stands, that’s all there was back then. Unless I’m in Kansas or Iowa, or those far western which I don’t hunt, my 2 climbers that I use, I can be just as mobile as you. Both my stands are 18lbs which is not a problem hunting in the hills. They are comfortable, they are quite and efficient and I’ve killed a lot of deer out of them. With that being said, mo hunting application is perfect. Just go with what makes you successful. I do use hang on’s but not as a mobile application.
How did you know the second route the buck was gonna take?
I switched to a saddle set up last season. I don't think I'll ever go back to a climber, atleast in archery season. In rifle season I may still use the climber.
Nice one.
I’m 56 years old and have been saddle hunting for the last 3 years.
Even though I thought I had good spots,
My collection of ladder stands are growing moss now.
Mobile hunting makes small changes much easier.
Now I hunt public much more since it gives me the
Ability to get in almost any tree based on fresh sign.
Also it’s way more comfortable for me to be in a tree for extended time.
The sitting position in a stand bothers my knees over time but being in a saddle is like half sitting and
Half standing, allowing a more comfortable hunt.
Lastly, I’ve been on several hunts where I can put the tree between me and a deer as cover.
Many non target deer were able to pass by me and I was not detected so that a shooter opportunity could result.
I use 4 beast sticks , predator platform and a 2 piece saddle.
1st saddle hunting video I saw was ny saddle hunters. I knew I had to try it. This next season will be my 2nd yr. I am sold on saddle hunting. I pre hang my xop hang-on stands.
Why even bother with a stand if you’re only going up 7-8 ft?
This looks nice for run an gun but i love my summit. I can sit as long as i want and its comfortable as can be..the weight dont bother me..the bulkiness can be bothersome at times but its worth it. I also got the lattitude saddle an a ultimate one stick an i dont like it. I keep it if i have to move quick an have a real long walk but i hate the saddle.
Ill be rocking the Ingwe and Carbon SS sticks this season too.
😂 another Mf $600 tree stand smh
@reddawng43x91 I said the same thing until I actually held it and used it at the expo.
I know once I started using the beast stand and sticks. My confidence level grew. I know I can go anywhere and get in a tree.
Not worth 1000$ for a beast stand and stix
@reddawng43x91 man it depends..ppl spend that much on a new bow or gun every year or 2..this stand gonna last you 2 decades or more..i mean its high but if it fits the need perfect, cry once an be done with it
@@reddawng43x91worth it to some and not to others
Well worth the 1000$ !
Good Video and advice , I'm currently considering doing just that , I'm tired of the noise that climbers make , not to mention that you have to pick out the right tree . I'm leaning toward the Novix Helo hunt ready system , it looks like a really sound set up , and it's made in the good ole USA !
I found it interesting that you hang so low. I've been mobile hunting since the early 2000s and I've never really considered hanging low. I'll definitely give it a try this season. Keep up the good videos.
I started mobile hunting 3 years ago and dont see changing any time soon.
