Scripture memory is one of my primary spiritual disciplines.

Love the idea of adding Scripture memorization! That and continuing to read thru the Bible once or twice each year would be very worthwhile.

Thanks for the comment! Wrestling right now with reading through the Bible just once or twice a year.

Hi Joe! I believe your on to something here. After all, how many bibles can one own and in my personal opinion, study, meditation, and application of what we read and study is key. The churches are not meant to be a museums nor are bibles intended to be collectors items. Your doing great work and I’m sure which ever path sets you on, you will continue being being a blessing to the Body of Christ🙏🏾

I would like more scripture studies, definitely Christian book reviews. Leadership is good but that is definitely geared towards those in leadership. Moving away from Bible reviews is really not a bad idea. You definitely have done an excellent job at that, time to move forward and on to bigger and better things.

I have stopped being interested in Bible reviews (unless, it's something truly unique). I think Bible related books would be a great way to go. There are so many Bible reviewers now. It's just overload. I think it's great that you are looking for new ways to expand the content of your channel.

Personally, yes! I would love to see you do more videos on Scripture memorization, biblical leadership, and book reviews. In fact, I also subscribe to Pastor Matthew Everhard's channel and Back2TheWord's channel too. I think both of them started off doing premium Bible reviews like you did, but then transitioned into doing the sorts of things you're thinking about doing too. And their channels are great. So I think you could have a similarly successful trajectory like they did too. Regardless, I look forward to whatever you decide to do! 😊

I would love to see a series of reviews on the great devotional classics from the past. So many young Christians have never even heard of these books much less been nourished by them. For starters: The Pursuit of God by Tozer; The Imitation of Christ by Kempis; With Christ in the School of Prayer by Murray; My Utmost for His Highest by Chambers; Orthodoxy by Chesterton; The Cost of Discipleship by Bonhoeffer; The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence.

Add Knowing God by JI Packer! I recently reread it for the first time in at least 25 years. Extraordinary!

I second this idea. There are so many great books that newer Christians, especially, would never hear about.

I would love to see some bible memorization videos. Book reviews are always good too. I think i would also like to see some bible reviews on bibles you have finished reading because that would give some great insights! Maybe you could go through and share with us some of the things God taught you in that read through. God bless!

You have some great ideas. All 3 or so you mentioned I would like to see. Yes, I would like to see videos on Biblical Leadership, Bible Memorization, and reviews of books you read ( that would help me add more books to my TBR list 😀) would be great. And your occasional Bible reviews would be great as well. Great video. Thanks for sharing. Looking forwarded to your new direction you are taking your channel. I'll be watching. Blessings brother. 👍

Narrowed down myself to CSB and ESV primarily, but dabble in a few others like NLT, NIV, and KJV.
I like the memorization topic - I am almost done memorizing Colossians and am interested in pursuing Mark with God's grace.
Also like the idea of other book reviews, I find them helpful! There are so many good books, I need help narrowing down my selections 😂

    • @joesbibles5636

I always enjoy your videos. Whatever you do, do it for the Lord. I personally would like to hear more on leadership and the books you find edifying for ministry. Im over the premium bibles. Its distracting to always be on the lookout for the next best bible. I really want to use what i have. Cant wait to see what you put out next Joe. Your experiences in how you study and read have been encouraging for me. I really enjoy when you put out a challenge to do things together like a Bible read through. That might be a good idea on books you recommend. We can read them together. 🤔

Well here’s my two cents worth! Christian book reviews would be good !( first one you’ve never hear of should be “Unoffendable” by Brent Hanson!!😊) …leadership may have a small audience…occasybible reviews still has a purpose (but a lot of people doing the same like Tim F and Tim W), some of the classics as mentioned above as well as new stuff…but bottom line? What is your passion? What drives you? Your interests and passions are what will attract listeners…don’t fall into the trap of audience pleasing! Go with your gut and if people don’t follow, that’s really ok! Sorry! More than 2 cents worth!!

One thing I observed - bible reviews are helpful - however, there is something I also noticed which is not good - that is that Christians obssess themselves with leathers etc. it also creates covetousness in the hearts of people (not all of course) but that feeling where you just want to buy all the premium bibles even if you have enough already while you can spend those money for better causes (for your family, children etc.). I don't know, constantly seeing the newest premium bibles gives you that feeling that your bible is not good, you need to have goatsking bibles, you need to have this or that. I hope you dont take this one personally, its just one mans observation.

Just like matthew everhard, he now makes content regarding their reformed tradition etc., however, if you will do bible reviews - since you are using all your bibles - a bible crash test or tips on scripture memorizations, how to preach, expository preaching etc. all of which uses the bibles which you have.
