This is a great idea! I have a bunch of washi tapes that I need to use up- my mom is threatening to throw them away- and my new bible just came in the mail
Interesting video! I only mark my Bible with washi tape on certain sections, the Pentateuch, history, poetry, prophets, New Testament. I stick the washi tape out about an 1/8th of an inch so I can get to the sections easily.
Nice and practical, I love it! I wish I had seen this video before I put tabs on my bibles. Some of the tabs on my German bible are ripping the pages, so I have to reinforce with clear tape. It would not have enough space for washi tape anyway. However, I just had a closer look at my English bible and I will be able to take those tabs off and reattach them. There is also enough space for washi tape, which I still have plenty of. I just have to check first if the tab would hold on the washi tape. While the Word is the only important thing, not the looks, the washi tape is very useful. And if it is pretty at the same time, who can object 🙂Thank you for sharing your tip on how to manage adding the washi tape.
There definitely is a "learning curve" to figure out how you want to do it. When I figured out the ruler trick it was much easier to manage the washi tape. I hope your English Bible process of adding washi tape and reattaching tabs goes smoothly!
Just trying to have an idea as to the effective use of it but I since heard you explain that we could separate the OT from the New Testament so I will be creative and go even further maybe with the gospels etc. Thanks for the enlightenment
The washi tape reinforces the edges as I'm flipping through to find the start of a book, plus you can color coordinate categories (history, epistles, gospels, etc.)
Those edges are a thing of beauty!
Thank you so much! 😊
Love that
Thank you so much!

I can see that working also - like a tab system. Thanks for sharing your idea, too!

Thanks! It's pretty...and also practical as a reinforcement if you're adding tabs also.

Lovely
Thank you!
That's a pretty Bible❤. Which one is it?! Also, LOVE this idea. Very creative and cute❤
Thank you! It's the She Reads Truth CSB. Love it!

What is the purpose of washing tape?
Does the washi tape ever uncurl? Nice idea!
I've never had that issue with washi tape. Since it's folded over the edge of the page, I think that keeps it intact.
@@biblequiltjournal Thank you! I added floral washi tape to the Books of my Bible and it is lovely!
What Bible is this Bible?
It is the "She Reads Truth" CSB Bible.
