Fun Fact: This Mongolian is the same actor who played Attila in Full contact. In real life he is the brother of the actor who played Ton Po in Kick Boxer. He is from Morocco
And don't forget his brother also portrayed Soan Paredes in Bloodsport
And also he is former champion boxing @@LOLMAN9538
Full Contact? You mean Lionheart. Or did it use the name Full Contact as well?
In the UK the movie was called A.W.O.L
@@johnaustin209 yes exactly, french name
The mongol also played Attilla, the villian in another van damme movie, Lionheart. His brother played Tong Po in kickboxer. Both lifelong friends of van damme
I was about to make the same comment great times!
and they're French-Moroccan / Arabic
@@MrRobjs83 Belgian-Moroccan
Good to know.
I also believe the Spanish fighter in this movie plays one of the bad guys in another Van Damme movie called “Double impact.” I always liked how some of the same actors would be featured in other Van Damme movies. Must’ve been a lot easier for character bonding too.
For those who may not know...the actor playing Mongolian is the brother of the actor that played tong po
The way he hit him with that Back Breaker....
All JCVD movies are essentially the same. JCVD goes to a tournament, makes a friend, fight styles from all over the world(Street Fighter, Tekken), friend dies/gets hurt by the main baddy, meets girl, bangs girl, makes it to final, faces main bad guy in final faceoff, beats main bad guy.
Just 2 of his movies are like that lol the quest and bloodsport
kickboxer is kinda like that...
Brother enters fight match---->brother gets beaten badly (paralyzed)-->trains harder than ever--->bangs Mai Lee----->Beats shit out of Tong Po
Except in this one he doesn't do his famous kiai or hiya sound and he doesn't have any flash backs of his training when he's on the verge of being defeated.
to be fair, alot of action movies follow those tropes. hell, even the movie speed, where keanu reeves buddy gets blown up in the house, leading up to revenge against the guy who did it
@@MrCrystalm8 I would never mean to speak sideways to the Great Humungus but, I would say Lionheart was similar to his point just without the official "tournament" premise. The funny thing is that this movie straight up is a recycled Bloodsport lol, I love the 80s and 90s.
The Mongol was like, I'm in charge of this tournament now.....and Van Damme was like, Do you feel in charge?
That's Arabic not Mongolian lol
@@user-ox1mv7bw3u he is berber not Arab lol
0:39 damn that guy is fast!!
The most Arabic Mongolian I've ever seen 😂
Technically he's Morrocan, so he'd be Berber, not Arabic.
Mongolia did conquer that region as well.
@@truebeliever786 his name is Abdelkrim Qissi, brother of Mohamed "Michel" Qissi
@Islam el-rayess he and his brother are muslim
@@user-uu4pk5zp4j actually they didn't go southward into Arabia.
Someone always got their back broke in Van Damme films
The casting director is cashing on that people never seen a Mongolian.
At least this is better than John Wayne’s portrayal of a Mongolian lol
We also have guy from Spain played by Albanian, Turkish fighter is from Algeria if i remember correctly, Korean fighter played by guy from Malaysia, and russian guy is American, so casting is weird in general :) .
and I'm a gringo playing a Mexican, Orale´ homes 😎 🇲🇽
@@Endru85x the French played by a Greek somebody said
@@thf1933 ah yes, Takis Trigelis or something like that :)
1:43 you know Dubois isn't going to let him get away with what he did. He's promising the Mongolia guy an ass kicking!
The Mongolian fighter wiped the floor with this guy. He didn't even put up a fight. He also acted in No Retreat No Surrender - Blood Brothers, back in 1990.
Never in my life have a heard someone say "hit the gong" with such fire
Mongolia wins , flawless victory , FATALITY
Now that u said it he does sound like shao kahn
Your Soooul is miiiine 👹
The Mongolian is the same guy that played Attila in Lionheart and is Michel Qissi's (who played Tong Po in the first two Kickboxer movies) brother.
Kel Trepes and bloodsport
Unbelieveble! This is an awesome movie! I watched on tape.
Tournament's staff just realized at the end of this one: we were right to think that this guy was a skilled fighter, but we didn't notice that he was a cold blood murder as well. That face expression when he drops the oponent's body must be similar to Jason's Voorhees, without the hockey mask.
This is satisfying the quest clips I ever seen " rezzzolute...
Uuuuuggh! 1:04, just some dayum good acting right there!! 🤩😎
"Hit the gong" You know that asian monk wizard looking guy doesn't speak a lick of English, he's not going to understand that you want him to hit the gong.
greg82380 I know, why were they announcing the fighters in English? Tbh though, I never thought of this when it came out and I was like 12.
Good point. But you think he would have used his common-sense anyway considering it was obvious what was going to happen.
Some people are on another planet.
He could actually. He speaks in perfect English on multiple occasions throughout the film.
Gengis Khan would say: "That's it, kido! You got it all sparkling clear. And without needing too many tutorials."

When the Mongolian look at Van Damme after he made the blood sign on him is like seing his trainer TANAKA from Bloodsport looking at him
Sagat VS. Adon
This Mongolian has one of the best styles I've ever seen
Just because we’re strong and bulky doesn’t mean we’re cold, careless and cruel. We care for each other. We fight for each other. We protect each other. We’re the sons and daughters of the blue sky and the golden throne
Erza Midnight you are Mongolian decent aren't you
All hail Tengri!
But don't tell me that guy is mongolian, he looks more like a north african arab to me.
They could at least show that the Siam guy was a decent fighter. Everyone goes down in a couple of hits except Van Damme.
@Keller Smith True. On the other hand I was never good enough to be invited to a secret underground tournament featuring world's greatest fighters and a giant golden dragon as a prize.
He jobbed
The Siamese Thai boxer was a fairly decent and skilled fighter I'm sure but nowhere close to a match for the massive brute strength, force and power of the Mongolian fighter, who was a Mongolian wrestler as well as a very skilled boxer and brawler. Both Pheng, the Siamese fighter, and Van Damme's character had the same instructor.
The thaiboxer didn't even have his guard up at the beginning. Cmon man.
@@danielj233 Well the thing is that the Mongolian here is so good at reading each fighter and adapting to each one accordingly. Like if he fought fang the same way he fought the Japanese sumo guy or just jogged around the arena a little bit before going for the punches the fight would have lasted longer and maybe even fang winning it, but he knows that fang is a fast fighter so he rushed in and went for the kill right away.
Damn this scene was so painful to watch. He was a real Thai boxer from Thailand he should have put up much more of a fight than this. The film directors did him wrong.
the whole movie is painful. A fighting movie which only have around 15 minutes of fight? That's dumb. One is representing Japan and an other Okinawa? An arabic mongolian? One is representing Africa, a continent. They are all supposed to be excellent fighters, but they are full of openings and charge head first in the fights. The director/writer was Van Damme. It's hard to believe he was so ignorant of how to make a movie around fighting.
Totally agree…the guy who taught Van Damme in this movie 🤦🏻♂️
The Mongolian should've been disqualified, since killing your opponent is strictly forbidden.
He killed a skilled fighter within 20 seconds. That was impressively quick and still looks realistic.
The Mongolian is not even a true fighter anyways. He is more of an executioner. So no matter if your a skilled fighter or not he always goes for the kill as this tournament has no rules.
@@zackq8865 Except no weapons.
Realistic? A slower dude throws a first punch and the faster dude doesn’t even react yea so realistic
@@zackq8865 He seemed to toy with Dubois in final match, which had he not done he almost certainly would have won.
He's twice bigger. No skills will help if you're a skinny pussy. In addition, the "brilliant" editing of the film shows us a Thai fighter under sleeping pills or drugs. Just look, he started to wake up only after a dozen crushing blows to his face, and before that he just stood there. Actually this scene shows what could happen in finale if Dubois wasn't portrayed by the film's director LOL
If this guy is a Mongolian then I'm a Moroccan-Belgian.
This is my favorite van dam movie, lion heart was good, and blood sport too... but this one really is my favorite
Great film to be honest, under rated. Had a great feel with him and roger moore, i will have to rewatch again soon.
Why did Van Damme rub his sweaty chest, I never understood that.
Must be a French thing 😂
Between Van Damme rubbing his chest and the handle bar mustache, it was all a bit gay
He wiped some of Fangs blood on him.
greg82380 Hahahahaha I was hoping someone in the comments would mention jcvd slapping the guy’s sweaty man-teet! And yeah, the Mongolian was definitely sporting a “leather daddy” mustache.
xNHx Belgian, but yeah, probably some European thing.
If that Mongolian guy could move like that in real life, he would pretty much be unstoppable
He can what makes you think he can't
He fought professionally in the 80s. Won a few fights. It was choreographed but he had skills as a trained fighter.
Do a playlist with all fight scenes
Fang, the Thai Kick boxer that the Mongolian killed in the scenes here, was played by Jen Sung Outerbridge. Fang fought and beat two others easily before facing the Mongolian, where the screenplay required him not to put up a fight, so he would be an easy victim for Mongolian to kill -- giving Van Damme personal grudge to avenge Fang's death

I watched the movie Cyborg a million times.
Literally a fight to the death.
Blocks with his face and then gets slammed. Very accurate depiction, from what I've seen. That's a Genie you shouldn't mess with. In fact, all Genies seem powerful (Mr. Popo, Majin Bu)
Show de luta
Feels like I'm watching that scene from bloodsport again where Chong-Li killed a fighter and the masters turning their backs. This scene is kinda the same.
The whole movie was to some degree modelled of Bloodsport.
COOL
In 90-th films were better then now.
That Mongol wouldn’t be able to do that to that souther Thai guy. That Siam guys has hard as a rock.
Mongolian guy looks like turkish
Good fight
That is the same script from Bloodsport and Rocky 4. I mean, exactly the same!!
bloodsport is better
guys its a movie on martial arts based some people r like that bolo yen never complained and he was cold but that was the movie don't be so criticized its not racism its a movie about a bloodsport
He must of not really liked the Siamese guy to break him like that. Because he didn't do the same to the Greek nor the Japan dude.
Kinda reminds me of Freddy Vs Jason. There's one kill that is over exaggerated. Jason kills Trey that was over dramatic kill
Where is Tong Po when you need him?
I'd like to see Tong po face off against the Mongolian dude.
So much for ANY sort of defense being done. wtf?
And surprising no one....Abdel Qissi wins against everyone lol.
cena besta muito calma kkkkk imagina a luta de macgragor e Habib com briga assim kkkkkkk no final
so Ong Bak was still weak during this time?
Lol dude knew he was dead once the match was set
No doubt man, he knew what time it was
The funny thing is the Siam guy looks like Mongolian, while a Mongolian guy doesnt even look like a real mongolian,he looks like an arab( moroccan in real life ). Mongolian people look like asians
البطل المغربي عبدالكريم قيسي
Hard mongol fighter
He is Arabic not Mongolian 😁
Abdel Qissi is such awesome villain material. Those assholes at Hollywood should've used him more, but they probably didn't want to, because of his name and background.
I can't remember if this film had a plot or not.

Hell, what a beating the Mongols gave the muai Thai boy, he didn't even hit him
This movie is a remake of Bloodsport, UN Fighters version.
Kids nowadays probably think Siam was a made-up country.
Lazy writing other than they trained together it was never established what kind of relationship they had or why Khan killed him other than he could.
Mongolian wins... FLAWLESS VICTORY... FATALITY
why did e wipe sweat off him ? such acting

Long time ago since I watched this...does van Damme have special friendship with the Thai guy? I forgot how they knew each other
JCVD character stranded in Siam and I think the teacher took him as a student
Alguém sabe o nome do ator que interpretou o mongol?
They ran out of countries ppl would recognize the fighting style and needed one for the cruel bloodthirsty villain that wouldnt get offended of being depicted as such.

I mean eyes
That thing that the Mongolian guy should never made.
In real life, the Thai does not have a chance anyway.
well as watching this the Mongolians eyes are just dead looking you look at the other guys eyes they are not as dead looking I mean he's focused and ready for anything I mean no mercy for the contestants not saying anything bad about Mongolians jut the movie not trying to affend

Greetings from Brazil and thank you for the joke, I was needing something like this to improve my friday.
It's about a Martial Tournament no rules with the best fighters of the world.
Mongolia vs Tailandia
The irony in this scene is that the actor that played the Mongolian here defeated a mu Thai kickboxer from Thailand where as in kickboxer quissi's younger brother played the mu Thai crazy villain. In this movie it made the Thai kickboxers look shameful and weak which is the complete opposite of the original kickboxer movie.
Much like Bane broke Batman in the original Knightfall comic book storyline.
Монгол сделал боевой прием из борьбы,а тайцы нужно было держать дистанцию и обрабатывать монгола Лоу арками!
Oh he's so evil!
