Man I tell ya I've not seen as much bait as we have this year New Johnsonville/Birdsong area than long as I can remember been ten years or better. Got bait from bank to bank shallow out wide fish I've been catching are fatter than when full of eggs. Lots more brown fish to and in areas they haven't been. Fish could close it's eyes open it's mouth and swim 40 yards and eat no joke and IMO is another reason bite can be tough. I've lived and fish this river for 52 years and what I've found that get's me those extra bites this time of year is I'll start fishing those off the wall places sorta speak where they haven't been leaned on hardly if any. Ready for the cold weather and water. Be safe this coming winter !!

I've fished 2 tournaments out of birdsong this year and it took forever to find bait and even longer to find the bass that have found the bait

@@danielmeganhauger2414 wow that's hard to imagine and I would ask when were your tournaments but if they were from spring till now which I assume they were I'm not sure how you could miss any of the bait. I want tell anything that's not so and I fish on average 200 days a year which doesn't make me an expert by no means. But anybody yourself included being on water as much as I ought to have pretty good idea what's going on if makes sense. Like I mentioned in comment I don't think I've seen as much bait as we have this year in 10 years or better. I assure you there's bait as far back up in Birdsong Creek you can go to all way out to the river and right to Cuba Landing and left to Big Sandy is plum full of bait. Your comment is worded in such a way to me at least that you believe my comment is untrue. All I know to tell ya is I'm not going to put anything on here that's not so bud. I say all this so that if anyone reads my first comment they can rest assure we have more bait in my area of the lake that we've not had in years. Which two tournaments did ya fish if don;t mind me asking and where are you from??? I'm not trying give ya a hard time bud shit if you were to ask me anything as to the fishing and what's going on here just know you'd get an honest experienced answer. I tell ya baring anything crazy in 5 to 7 years Kentucky Lake will fish like it did in late 90's and 01 to 10 . Long ass comment but I felt as if you were making me out to be telling a story

"Most consistent bite is probably shallow....still a few places out off shore where fish can be caught....but start looking for shad around dock corners, laydowns and shallow brushpiles. Fish are starting to move shallow...they'll start getting up on those shell beds, stumps....things like that." So the shell beds and stumps he's talking about are "off shore", right? I assume he's saying fish shallow main lake ledges/bars in 8-10 with shells and stumps as opposed to shallow 8-10 feet in the back of a pocket/cove or creek?
