@DIY Wife~ Dean, electricity operates on 60 Hz in the US. It means that the lightbulb is truly turning on and off between 100 & 120 times per second. Our eyes are unable to see the flickering of light but a camera lens can make it easy for you to see the flicker. Andrea, like you when unloading the cabinets in your office, “I don’t know what to do with his stuff.” 🤷🏼♀️

I think it is totally precious that you guys have been together since you were 17. My husband and I met when I was 17 and he was 19. We married when we were almost 22 and 24. We are now 70 and 81 and have just celebrated our 57th wedding anniversary. It is very cool to be a couple all your adult life. Blessings. And thank you for sharing that history.

I just want to say young woman you rock! When I was in my 40’s I would try anything in home improvement! Now I am 72 just coming out of my 2nd rotator cuff surgery and can’t wait to be able to finish my painting of my bedroom furniture. You rock!!!!!
It's always exciting to think about another adventure of buying another house to fix up. My husband and I have done it 9 times!!!! We're just finishing up on our last and final fixer up because we're both too old to start another one. So I say "go for it!!!"

You could either buy one to redo and keep the one you've already got the way you want or maybe find one that works better for your family. Now that your kids are older and have different needs. I believe God just has so much more planned for you guys. I would love to see you guys flip houses, that would be amazing. Maybe do a series on making different types of furniture or giving out handy tips on how to use the tools that you mainly use, what are the main electric tools you need for building furniture and things like that. Whatever it is that you guys bring to the screen I am always pumped to see what it is because i just love the work you both put out and I absolutely adore your friendly family. I absolutely love your energy and the content you create! Also, it's amazing to me how the weather changes across the US! We are in OH so 50s for us is like "Woo-hoo, it's not freezing, it's Spring!" (LOL) I love that we have such different weather though, that makes it so interesting! Right now we are having pretty freezing temps. It was 8 degrees yesterday and today 26, but we enjoy the changing seasons. Thank you for another great video! I'm catching up and binge watching so I am really enjoying myself inside while it's freezing outside, haha :)

My cousins and I talk about how anytime we smell the subtle undertone of mothballs, we think of our grandparents’ house. We all have nice memories from visiting them so it’s actually a really good, nostalgic smell. Can’t wait to see this office come together. Based on the previews of what’s to come, it looks like you’re building new drawer boxes for the built-in desk drawers, but I’m curious if you have any advice on how to add drawer slides to an existing piece of furniture that currently has no drawer slides. I have a dresser like this and I would love to install slides so the drawers are more stable and function better but figuring out how to attach them when I can’t control the drawer box sizing is a head scratcher. Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.

The flickering comes from different frequencies of the screens/monitors. You can adjust the shutter of your camera to that.
