Chuck was a good guy. He came to see me at the Bunyan show last year. He was always bragging on your log splitter.
Might have to try one out one day.
An excellent benefit you mentioned is to run them inside the wood shed- no emissions. Thanks Andrew!
Appreciate the support gord
Nice operation machine great for someone who wants to set inside a building in a business park situation
I’ll miss Chuck’s videos - he was a good dude. Condolences to Deb
Thanks james. Appreciate your kindness
Thank You Andrew that was very touching. He really loved talking to people and got along with everyone. I found out today how much he touch everyone he worked around and friends he meet. Thanks again. Say Hi to Stacey for me.
I commend you on your consoling words for the loss of a dear one. Most of us have suffered from "the enemy death" when losing friends or family.
There is no easy way to explain and alleviate the loss and confusion resulting from death. Ministers, priests and holy men have tried to do this for 1000's of years, but the "sting of death" remains. This is why eulogies are so important.
Thanks gary. Appreciate the kind words
Good Evening this Super Bowl day. I like football but I got to tell you the ads and the half time circus don’t attract me at all. So, I put on the head phones and went to UA-cam to watch anything related to Eastonmade Axis. I taped in on learning the loss of one of your faithful associates. I too share your sentiments to the gentleman’s family as well as to your employees who partnered with him. I liked the point you made that “the Lord had need of him”. I assume it was sudden death, sudden Glory.
Went on to watch your new addition of an Axis powered by electric. My wood yard happens to not be near electric hook up unless I had a generator for power. My interest will continue to be in purchasing a fuel powered engine Axis with conveyor. I am so anxious to place an order but I need to replace a boiler from oil to propane. I happen to have a Heatmore Outdoor Wood Burning Furnace to heat my home and domestic water for hot water. I have used it exclusively for 15 years. I just turned 87 and feel I need to not depend on the good health the Lord has given me any longer. I also feel EPA might step in and condemn my ways of providing home heating.
I do conduct a small firewood bundling enterprise. Been doing this for the past 7 years. I will continue to offer bundled firewood specifically for those who can’t handle even a face cord. They drive up, pick up, pay up and they are on their way home satisfied bc they get more burn for their buck in my bundle. I over size a .75 cu. ft bundle by a couple of pieces. But, I need to buy an Axis. Less touches, less bending and faster over all operation. I will be making a contact when this boiler is in place. Thanks for all the information available on the Axis. Beautiful piece of mechanical advantage.
Dave Urner
We met chuck at the Paul Bunyan show this past fall. He sure had a fancy camera set up.
Electric is awesome. It’s a Quiet, odorless, tasteless? and gas-less. Splitter. Lol. 3phase is super expensive to get off the pole here. The power company hoards it. Lol
Sorry to hear about your friend 🙏from Scotland, nice demo 👍🏻
Appreciate it dave
That’s sweet. I can definitely see the advantage of being able to operate it inside and a lot less maintenance. Three phase requirements is a bummer though but I get why. Great video Sir!
Definitely be nice to not have to listen to gas motor run. I got be able to take my splitter to the wood. That splitter definitely makes some nice looking wood. Keep up the good work.
That thing is **** awesome would love to have one of those one day. Right now I have a split fire electric and absolutely love it. You have a very nice machine there.
G'day Andrew, sorry to hear about you losing your mate suddenly and before his time. That electric version of the Axis is perfect for indoor use especially in a climate where production can be effected by the cold there are electric splitters on the market but they're toys compared to that unit .
Thank you. Appreciate the support
Hi Andrew, I think you should get rid of the step between log lift and working table to be able to effortlessly slide logs from the lift.
Nice man!!! This now for the europen market would be awsome! Inkluded an 400 Volt 30 amp 5 Phase Motor i would Buy it instand!!!!
Chuck will be missed! He was always willing to help and the smile on his face while out working was what it’s all about. Prayers for Deb and family!
Appreciate the kindness heath
Well said
Thanks donald
Well please pass on my prayers on to Deb and her family as watching your video was the first to hear of the news. My the lord bless and keep us all safe in our time on this world
Appreciate the kindness
Chuck will definitely be missed, he was typical of our Woodhound community always giving his time and knowledge.
In my opinion whether electric or gas it’s hard to beat an Axis!!!!
Thanks Andrew, 👍TCT
Andrew you just took precise firewood cutting / Splitting to a whole new level. No fumes, way less noise, same quality...
Game changer especially for those who have big barns, machine sheds or big garages....rain snow or lighting the Axis will shine!
It will work great for those guys. Appreciate the support greg
Although I never had the opportunity to meet Chuck I feel as if I’ve lost a friend as well! He was a big part of our community and always had time to show support, to not only my small channel but many others! The Axis looks awesome. Definitely looks to run just as strong as a gasser👊🏻
Well said Todd..👍
Thank you for your kindness todd
That is very impressive! If I were 10 years younger I would have one. The fueled units are great but Electric takes it to a new level! This is IMO some advanced planning !
Well said Andrew. Chuck was a awesome guy. I am so glad we had the chance to get to know chuck and Deb. Rest east my friend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Deb and her family.
Appreciate the kindness jeff. Always great to gear from you
Great to see the options you've got coming out at Eastonmade Andrew! The option to run this machine indoors sure opens up a lot of doors for a lot of people. I like the idea of splitting wood inside my pole barn especially in winter
Thanks sandy. Appreciate the support
I am so sorry to hear about Chucks passing. Thank you for sharing your kind words, Andrew.
Appreciate the support
Andrew, nice to hear your kind words. I did notice that while you were splitting , you had no ear protection. I don’t know if it was your microphone, but I had to turn my device volume down because it was so noisy. I am assuming that the electric version is quieter than the gas model. If so, it should be a selling point. Good luck. I have an Ultra on order and are excited about seeing it. Watching“In the Woodyard” was the reason for purchasing.
It has kind of a weird whine to it. It's definitely a lot quieter though.
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters Andrew, I really believe that the electric model being much quieter than the gas is a strong selling point. I follow a lot of firewood channels and they mention the volume of noise and disturbing neighbors. Just a thought and trying to be helpful.
That Axis will be great for indoor use in a barn or large shed .No weather excuses. great job!
That's bad ass
Cool machine. Maybe my next purchase 🙂. AWESOME experience with the purchase of my Ultra. Ill be back again in the future 😉. Eastonmade family 👍🏽👍🏽
The plane was awesome max. Made my day . Hopefully we meet up someday
Nice tribute to Chuck. I met him and got to like him at Brad's. He was a genuine person.
Thank ken.
Agree with you about God’s plan and purposes and I can empathize that it hurts to lose those we love!
Thank you tim
Thanks for sharing your grace, amazing knowledge Chuck shared. Wish the best for Deb and the family.
Frequency Drive will solve the 3 phase issue for the 1 phase guys.
We run a 25 HP 240v 3ph off of 240v 1ph with a FD. Works great.
Thats another option for sure al
That the option. I have multiple three phase motors I run off a VFD. Simple. @@EastonmadeWoodSplitters
So well said Andrew. We are all mourning his loss and I completely agree that I am better off for knowing him.
Appreciate the kind words darrin.
Andrew, sorry for the loss of your friend. Can hear your pain. He went quickly, so that’s a blessing. If you’ve got the 3-phase, seems like a great way to go, much less hassle to start.
Appreciate the kindness bill.
Andrew was a nice tribute to chuck, our thoughts are with the Rogers Family, Chuck May his soul Rest in Peace,
Thank you for your kindness
Well said about Chuck. Hard to put into words. ❤️. You know I love this Axis.
Appreciate the support mike
Rest in peace chuck.thanks for sharing your knowledge while you were with us. Deepest condolences go out to deb and family 🙏
Thank you for your kindness bob
Prayers for Chuck’s Family and Friends
Thank you
Our thought’s and prayers go out to Deb and the family ❤.
Great work Andrew and team! Love seeing the innovation to keep the industry striving for better! It’ll definitely make a wicked bundle/resplit set up for an indoor operation.
Appreciate the kind words and support reuben
I’m sorry for your loss. I also lost my wood cutting buddy on Monday. They are special kind of folk.
Sorry for your loss harold
RIP Chuck! Wow, another great option with the Axis! We will have to talk soon Andrew!
Thank you george. Appreciate the kind words and support
🙏🏽 for Chuck.
One horsepower is 746 watt in electric motor Andrew. 😊Tks Andrew for giving out kindness words and your blessing to chuck & deb Roger and family . Bring the kindness of business man you are . Andrew from the ROCK your 1/2 hr in heaven before the devil know dead .
Appreciate the kindness leonard
I send my condolences to all that knew Chuck and family. My personal opinion I’m not sold on electric but they do have a advantage over gas in certain areas. Depends on what is important and purpose for the user. At the end the customer as a choice to choose gas or electric and that’s leading change. Outstanding Andrew and the whole Eastonmade team. Cheers my friends Brad. 👌🏻🔥🇨🇦
Appreciate the kind words and support brad
So sorry for your loss, Best Wishes.
Thanks micheal
Well said, Andrew.. I never got to meet Chuck in person, but from what I could tell, he was a good stand-up man. God needed him back home, and one day, when it's our turn, we will see him again❤️👍
Appreciate the kindness daniel
Great angle for the top down view, and an amazing production rate Sorry for your loss Andrew.
It was different view for sure. Appreciate your kindness bill
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters Andrew, carnival is over here and i saw a carnival float that was in blue and orange and stood out over the other colour schemes, made me think have a competition for the kids to colour in Line drawings of your equipment either online or a competition at the shows... Start em young !
Love It
Andrew, your words of condolence were well spoken.
Have you thought about offering an optional phase converter for those in a residential setting needing to convert single phase 220v to 3ph? The neighbors might appreciate a quiet electric motor!
My condolences 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks chris.
Sorry to hear about your friend Chuck. Splitting indoors in a tee shirt would be AWESOME!
Thanks for the kindness ray
Chuck & Deb both seemed to me to have a great kindness to other people . The world would be much better off with more folks like them . Deb is certainly in my thoughts .
The electric may be ok for a limited group of people that have 3 phase & want to take the wood mess inside of a their building . For me & I believe most others gas / diesel is much more useable in real life applications where we split outdoors away from the barn .
Thanks dave appreciate the kind words
My condolences to chuck's family. And was wondering if a vfd variable frequency drive would work to convert form 3 pahse to single phase. We use them in the maple industry for vacuum pumps.
If you had a place outside to access 220, it would be nice and a lot quieter. being able to use it in a barn or building would increase the number of days you could split. With the problem getting components and engines right now, this could fix a lot of problems. Thanks Andrew. I really need a unit with a log lift since I broke my back, but my retirement budget won't allow it. I still heat with wood but am too old and injured to sell firewood any longer.
Appreciate the feedback james
Very nice tribute to Chuck. I have never watched his channel but if you say he was a great guy Andrew then he was a great guy. Sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to all of his family and friends. Dave
Appreciate the kind words dave
Wow forgot about the amazing Axis, you guys killed it again 👏 🙌
Thanks dwayne
Thanks buddy, watching all that you do and the channels that are so dedicated like yourself. It truly clarifies the right direction 👏
Hey Andrew, so sad to hear about Chuck, it’s nice that you took time in the video to talk about it an I agree with all your points mentioned, he will definitely be missed within the firewood an milling communities :( my thoughts sincerely go out to Deb and family..
I like the direction your going with exploring the opinions with the electric motors. I do like the benefits that you have pointed out for sure! Absolutely if someone has the right set up for this, it definitely would be a game changer! Anyways Andrew, thanks again for another great video, I appreciate your hard work you put into the channel and enjoy stopping by! Take care, Andrew from NB :)
Appreciate the support
Stand up Tribute to Chuck and family
Praying 🙏🏻 for peace for everyone as we all know life is to short and we need to cherish the ones we love and the time we have.
Andrew said it best
The wood-hounds have lost a good man
Rest In Peace ☮️ my friend
Thanks brian. Appreciate the kindness
It's a lot less noise but I'm wondering what's making the noise it still has.
Almost sounded like the valving for the hydraulics.
I've used a lot of machinery with electric driven hydraulic units but nowhere near the size of those and most of them are so quiet you can really only tell they're on by the lights on the control panels.
Nice machine that will definitely be a favorite for those with the right setup.
Another advantage is they are quite.
Would love to use one in the near future or see somebody using one no joke I might end up building one
Such a major loss for the community. I only started digging into their channel a few weeks ago, and caught a number of really interesting livestreams; particularly the one about the Great Lakes. Chuck seemed like such a nice guy who would do anything to help people out. Rest Easy Chuck. PS The TAxis looks cool.
Appreciate your kindness james
Condolences to Deb and family, definitely a loss for wood hound community and friends. Nice job on the electric Axis. If you have 3 Phz power definitely something you should consider.
Thanks marc
that nice
Thanks uncle cecil
Whenever I am around electric motors I usually wear earpro, not because of the hearing protection, but I just hate the whine of the electric motor.
The whine is probably the hydraulic pump, the motor is most likely silent with no load.
You put the motor in a box with soundproofing and delete the high frequency noise.
The electric motor looks like a very good option. A Motor this size is always 3 phase, single phase would be silly. Makes them interesting for the european market tbh. Idk if you can rewire them easily for our 380V/400V 3-phase, but probably easy to fit any other electric motor. Cheers and R.I.P. Chuck.
We can get them in any voltage and frequency. Appreciate the words. Chuck was a great guy
RIP Chuck , condolences to all, Hi Chris I know your a busy man running your business but could to ship one of your Eastonmade baseball caps to me in the uk, I’m off to one of the biggest forestry shows in the UK in May and would love to show off your company name. I would pay for all costs pm me please , best regards Neville.
hi there we will all miss Chuck john
For sure. Appreciate the kind words john
I liked Chuck and Deb channel. I'm sad for Deb...
I just started watching his/ there videos 2 weeks ago, sad to see him go so early.
Thank you len
Sorry for your loss - I am curious if you know if anyone is running this setup off of a ford f150 powerboost? This would be ideal for me, but want to hear how the setup is working. My powerboost has 7.2kw generator.
Hi.
I'm In Ireland . Love your videos. And your splitters are super grade.
Could you tell me what KVA that 3phase motor is.
And what gpm. That pump is.
Please
While the electric is not for everybody I think it is a great power alternative just like the Kubota option is compared to the standard gasoline engine. If you have the ability to run electric and do not move your splitter around very much and if you have 3 phase electric power is by far the way to go like you said no oil changes no keeping gasoline on hand no worrying about is your carburetor gummed up no worrying about is it going to start if it's really cold out nothing just hit the button and it comes on
Thanks for watching the video eric. All good points
Your words will be appreciated by all who knew Chuck.
What is the HP on that motor? It looks to be some faster than the gas version. How heavy of an extension cord would be needed? How long a cord can you use? And then, the cost of the cord! It would probably run so cheap, it'd feel like free!
Appreciate the kinds words. The motor is 10 hp and runs the same speed as an engine
Disadvantage is it really isn't portable
Any plans for a home owners splitter. Maybe an electric ultra ?
No...the ultra uses the same pump as the axis. Appreciate you taking the time to watch the video
In Ohio you can't get 3phase except by using a phase converter in non commercial areas
Most of north america is like that.
I also don't have three phase power.
Seems like going electric is a win for noise levels alone. I notice you don't need hearing protection with this setup.
Major loss for the community!! Was a Huge fan of his channel!! Think I'll stay gas!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks david.
Wondering the price difference if any for the electric? Not seeing in the web site quite yet.
We havent got it posted yet.
People just automatically hate on electric because of what they hear in the MSM. It's the future and there's nothing we can do about it, I love it! Science and technology will prevail haha. The axis + that motor seems like an amazing combination!
Appreciate the support nick
Rotary phase converters aren't expensive if you can find a used one locally
Thats another option for sure.
So are you running a 1ph/3ph VFD on this?
No, not likely. That facility has 3ph power. Couldn't operate a place like that without it.
will a 3 face cord run it
Yes
A person could still run that 3phase setup with a single phase and a vfd
Could run double 7.5s but your talking what 60 ish amps.
Not a big fan of the electric tools for my woodyard. It would be too far and too costly to get an electric service there.
What do you call a pile of amps?
Lol not sure
My current 10hp single phase pulls 40 amps full load @ 230 volt. That could be a pile of amps.
Huh, for ALL the grief my wife gives me, “Oh you have to do that outside, the whole house smells lime gas”blah blah blah blah……. She won’t be able to complain now! I wonder it it will fit in the kitchen…… I don’t want to block the TV!
Lol. Im sure you can make it fit with some creativiry
