    I think you did a great job explaining how to make this! If you aren't happy with the thickness, you can add a touch more water... some people like it thinner, others thicker. And as far as the sifting or blending, its not necessary... it does make it mix and stay mixed a bit better but just stirring it will be fine... you will just have to stir it every time you use it...give it a quick stir in case the marble dust settles to the bottom. :) And you wont feel much of a difference once applied, its very slight but it will still work :) And if you ever add too much and notice it is cloudy on your paper, just add a bit of water and glue to off set the difference :)
    It always cracks me up when I watch an Australian youtuber and they talk about it becoming summer in December while over here its getting so cold. :) When you tipped the pastels and they fell out I laughed so hard lol

      +Christy Essen Hey Christy! That's interesting, I didn't know it was possible to use baby powder. I am so glad you like, and even watch, my videos! Thanks! I am working on making something for your semi-santa package at the moment. Exciting to be doing this, Stacy had a great idea! tfw Hugs, Ginny :o)

      i didnt know either, until i ask her i was skeptical thinking it wouldnt be clear at all, but she assured me it would, a couple projects i might have just added too much powder, but it does work, i keep almost ordering the dust but keep getting distracted. yes her ideas are wonderful, even stuff i see other places makes more sense when she does them. she is really good at explaining it all. i have enjoyed your videos, doing it real, and makes me like i can do it too, just like stacy does! can't wait to get my secret santa from you, i have yours mostly done as well, its not much but it is thoughtful.

      Well it's definitely the thought that counts! And I am happy with receiving absolutely anything, doesn't matter how big or small, how much or how little ... it all makes me happy! It's a nice thing to do for each other and brings a big smile. We could all do with more smiles couldn't we? I am glad the baby powder works well because Mr Victor crafter asked if he could use that instead since because he can't get marble dust in the ukraine. So that will be easy for him to get. Thanks for passing on the idea from Stacy - what a great little arty/crafty community we are all a part of here on YT hey?! :o)

      i'm so happy to belong to such a wonderful group of people, i've never felt so belonged, online OR in life, so its a great and wonderful journey for me. and that my son is a part of it, (hes the one that attached to stacy first, the video on her gesso, he walked by and said you two would be best friends in real life.) thats an amazing thing for a child to pick up on,he ask how shes doing all the time. esp if she hadn't posted a yt vid in a while. i hope all the secret santa, and the giving, and people caring about each other guides him to become a wonderful caring giving person!, it takes a village to raise a child, and so far i'm honored even if its a youtube village :)

      Aww that's so obversant of your son, and nice that he cares about Stacy, how lovely! How old is he?
      I feel the same way about this community - I have met such good friends here who are all so caring and supportive. It's really wonderful! I think perhaps that we are all the same type of person you know .... arty/crafty people are all drawn to similar things anyway but I think that it also mostly attracts the sensitive, caring type of personallity. Your son has a good community here on youtube from which to learn the important things in life. :o)

    Great video I bought some white powder stuff at a local bulk pet place they use it to sprinkle on dog food, calcium carbonate it was like $3 a kilo cheap as chips, I got 1/2 kilo will last me a life time,, (hope you didn't pay an arm and leg for it)I am yet to mix it, its on my to do list lol.... Might have to do it soon.

    • @BraveblueRaven
      @BraveblueRaven  8 років тому

      +Scrapbookingncraft Oops! Hubby says he got it from Cavalier Art Supplies in Geelong and it cost $14.52 for one kilo! Shipping was almost nothing though. However, that was a LOT cheaper than he found at other places around the state! He also says there are two types, a coarse one and a fine one - he got me the fine one which mixes in well with other mediums.
      Glad you got such a bargain ... I hope it works well for you. Tfw Hugs, Ginny :o)

      +Althea Van Pay Thanks for watching Althea, it is good isn't it. I loved Stacey's video, she explained it so well and came up with a fantastic recipe! :o)

      Yes she's good. I was watching an animal show * they mentioned the sanctuary near Melbourne where the have raised a platypus in captivity.. It was abt "cute but dangerous animals". Anyway I thought abt your hubby & his photos.

    • @BraveblueRaven
      @BraveblueRaven  8 років тому

      +Althea Van Pay Oh that's interesting, that would have been the Healsville Sanctuary which is roughly a one and a half to two hours drive from where we live, out to the east. They keep and raise only Australian Native Animals there. Platypusses are very cute looking and so unique! But yes, they are dangerrous with their poisonous spurs! Thanks for telling me about the tv show you saw and that it made you think of my hubby's photos. Isn't it great that we can see tv shows about things from all around the world! :o)

    • @altheavanpay7049
      @altheavanpay7049 8 років тому

      Yes it is. I was surprised that the platys have fur very much like our otter and were once hunted for it. Sad isn't it?

    • @BraveblueRaven
      @BraveblueRaven  8 років тому

      Yeah, poor things .... luckily people don't hunt Platys anymore, I think they are protected by law now. Not sure about the poor beavers though. I feel sad for all animals that are hunted for their fur, or any other reason for that matter ... especially trophy hunting - that is just so cruel and such a waste of a beautiful creature's life! :o(
      You are up late ... burning the midnight oil? lol It is 9:30pm here on Tuesday the 8th. We are roughly 14 or so hours ahead of you. Nice chatting to you Althea. :o)
