The fact that she keeps asking if the vita eats people befor the mimic has got me like "Here, Right here, all our needs will be met-" Makari: "They eat people?" *IN* *A* *MINUTE*
on the whole "did he add the story afterwards due to the skibidi toilet effect", the creator of vita carnis said in an interview that he had the rough idea for the story from the beginning but that he has done some rewrites as the universe expands. He has also stated that he wants to do every single creature as a practical effect at least once by making props and stuff. I also remember him saying that he thought he'd have more time to grow as he didn't expect the series to get nearly as popular as it did this quickly.
Oh that sounds amazing!! He's already done the mimic, trimming, crawl, and meat snake. Which leaves the host, harvester, monolith, and singularity!! Awesome!! Can't wait to see them!!
He wants to do every creature as a practical effect? I'm imagining a real life monolith prop lol. The town he lives in or near just walks outside one day and there's a *giant* red creature outside.
Makari: *goes on rant about trimmings* Me: *looks over at my trimming plushies from makeship*. "Shh shhh its ok sweethearts she doesnt know what she is talking about"
I think I heard someone say that the video was done IRL with practical effects so someone has that thing in their closet right about now edit: she also talks about it, so yeah
I've watched all of the popular analog horrors pretty much dozens of times lol. I usually turn a long analog horror reaction on and use it to go to sleep
Suggestions... *smirks* Greylock, Angel Hare, Gemini Home Entertainment, Hi I'm Mary Mary, The Children Under the House ( any Vintage8 really) and of course a classic... Local 58. I've watched wayyyy too much horror on UA-cam. If you want real life 'horror' watch any Disasterthon video.
It’s not really analog horror but more digital horror (no 90s VR computer games about circuses involved I’m afraid), but if ya’ll remember Flipnote from the Nintendo DSi and 3DS, PLEASE CHECK OUT JUNE ARCHIVES!!! IT IS SO AWESOME!!!
I cant be the only one thst wants to see her reaction to both the children under the house & the batman analogy series, bet both would be some prime entertainment on both parts 😂
31:10 The story is actually a paralel to the situation in vita carnis, basically a prince is stranded, he sleeps for God knows how long, and then there are critters everywhere and the prince helps them. The prince is the singularity, and the critters are humanity.
Throwing in Monument Mythos as an analog horror classic. The first two seasons are great and the continuing stuff is out there but interesting in it's own right.
I got a few suggestions for analog horror: 1- Harmony and Horror made by Battington 2- Dreams of an Insomniac made by Pastraspec 3- The Man in the Suit made by Unknowingly
Greylock, Gemini Home Entertainment, Local 58, Daisy Brown, Alantutorial, This House Has People In It, The Walten Files, FAKE DOCUMENTARY "Q", Midwest Angelica, and The Boiled One Phenomenon are all great horror series.
At the very start of the video, it reminds me of that sci-fi horror movie where I think it came out in the early 2000s where a lot of people found a old space station have been missing for a long time with its crew gone and I think it was said that it went through another dimension
Listen. The reason this isnt too scary is because its more facinating than scary This doesnt disreguard the fact that it *can* be scary in a biological scale Learning about something new that fits so good into biology and but can absolutely *FUCK* you up is absolutely amazing, seeing what these things do is really interesting No other analogue horror i've heard of can be this good at installing fear into someone not by cheap jumpscares, loud noises, and cliche horror stuff Instead by slowly easing in that this "thing" is nothing but bad, and get continuously dangerous with every monster, getting even more terrifying than the last Including the fact that they have *actual* advice to fend off these "things" instead of being the video freaking out, stupid cringy "You cant escape" bullshit. They tell you how you can survive
VITA CARNIS TASTE TIER LIST Crawl: taste like liver. Trimmings: taste like rabbit Meat snakes: taste fucking awful Mimics: taste like humans Harvesters: taste like squid Hosts: taste like burnt jerky Monoliths: taste like crawl The singularity: tastes like grass I sighted the Darien Quilloy interview ua-cam.com/video/HitglivlSIs/v-deo.htmlsi=-nu2cccuayD9mDMW
I can see this as being a sort of slow acting version of The Many from System Shock 2. we know we are really screwed if they start to "sing to us in our minds" 😱
I've watched almost every vita carnis video, the one where the family dies is the only one i cannot fucking bring myself to watch, i don't wanna hear, see, or think about that shit. Peak horror though, that video seriously made me feel light headed when it autoplayed
this reminds me of the Sarkic Cults of the SCP universe kind of the church of the broken god, but instead of worshiping Mekhane, the machine god, they worship The Flesh That Hates if the the church of the broken god goes "when I discovered the weakness of the flesh it disgusted me" and the Sakic Cults go "When I embraced the truth of the flesh, I found its strength and potential to transcend all limitations."
Some series I’d love for you to check out: Midwest Angelica, Gemini Home Entertainment, CH/SS, Angel Hare, and June Archives (this one is more so digital horror surrounding the legendary Nintendo DSi/3DS animation app, Flipnote!)
It's funny to assume the trimming could suddenly develop a taste for people because it eats dead meat. They're effectively raccoons. So that's the first comparison that ran through my head. Raccoons eat a dead guy and develop a taste for human meat.
You shouldn't skip the “How to cook” and “Flavor Enhancement” part. Pay attention and you will realize the man who is cooking is wearing gas mask all the time. And all the cooking method he describe is important to keep the spores alive. That "Flavor Enhancement" powder he was using and advertising was the host's spores. -- And, yes. They ARE dumb enough to have Trimming Shows.
52:48 - 53:25 And 54:41 - 54:57 "DO YOU HEAR THAT SOUND? - THAT BEAUTIFUL SOUND?" :) Not sorry, I couldn`t hold myself from quoting those 2 lines from one song. And BTW, I agree with BJ and Lydia in there, call me a sick freak, but I love screams of fear. That is the only loud noice that I like.
Harvesters are genuinely horrifying! That video taking us into that horrible tragedy of the family brutally dying at the thorns of the harvesters is something straight out of a depressing nightmare! I know it’s meant to be a meat plant, but I do wonder if it has genuine malice in its dna? Not metaphorically, but actually is a conduit of sheer rage, evil, and hatred for any life? In addition to just acting like a plant, what if it also has some sentience (hive mind or not) and actively preys on humans more than other animals, and genuinely enjoys making people suffer? What if the screams of agony and pain and the raw human emotions spewing out as the target is dying, give the Harvester extra nutrients that make it stronger alongside the general nutrients of its prey? Sorry, I’m still reeling a bit…I thought I could brave the video again, but nope! Still just as scarring as I remember, and I’m never watching that specific video again! Love Vita Carnis, and that video is good don’t get me wrong, I’m just staying away from it for my own sanity! The rest of the series, I’m still gonna watch, though!
Absolutely do more longer reaction videos. Your voice is nice and you make entertaining comments. I'm sure you have a lot of people placing their reccomendations, so i'll do something different, heres something I DON'T reccomend watch, "The Painter" series by UrbanSpook. It’s basically just someone presenting police reports of victims killed in extreme ways by a murderer who then paints their portraits. It relys heavily on describing gore = horror if you want watch ep 1 and you'd get the gist of the gimmick.
The fact that she keeps asking if the vita eats people befor the mimic has got me like
"Here, Right here, all our needs will be met-"
Makari: "They eat people?"
*IN* *A* *MINUTE*
i understood and love that reference
Awwww Mimic just wants a headpat.

Me: *looks over at my trimming plushies from makeship*. "Shh shhh its ok sweethearts she doesnt know what she is talking about"
that harvester report was the only one that actually hit me. and oh boy it hit hard. Those voice actors made it feel REAL
I think in an interview, Darian said that the screams were just voice samples he found on the internet. However I could be wrong.
It had scarred me…
If im correct 2 people fell victim to a harvester in that video right.
What iv'e learned from this is makari is very preybrained.
In an ecological sense or a vorarephilia sense? I haven’t watched yet.
God, I remember these.
37:30 in particular made me lose sleep and I'm not afraid to admit it. *Peak analog horror*
I think I heard someone say that the video was done IRL with practical effects
so someone has that thing in their closet right about now
edit: she also talks about it, so yeah
I've watched all of the popular analog horrors pretty much dozens of times lol. I usually turn a long analog horror reaction on and use it to go to sleep

Don’t forget The Man In The Suit!
@@DenAnimatics post work brain missed that. Good catch! *goes back to sleep again lol*
angel hare is hella good
It’s not really analog horror but more digital horror (no 90s VR computer games about circuses involved I’m afraid), but if ya’ll remember Flipnote from the Nintendo DSi and 3DS, PLEASE CHECK OUT JUNE ARCHIVES!!! IT IS SO AWESOME!!!
What about the smile tapes?
I cant be the only one thst wants to see her reaction to both the children under the house & the batman analogy series, bet both would be some prime entertainment on both parts 😂
Batman analog is well made; Just not into Batman or his lore.
Damn you makari, making me feel old with that outer limits reference right off the bat!
31:10 The story is actually a paralel to the situation in vita carnis, basically a prince is stranded, he sleeps for God knows how long, and then there are critters everywhere and the prince helps them. The prince is the singularity, and the critters are humanity.
( 1:20:41 ) yes, they canonically do have Trimming pet shows.
Throwing in Monument Mythos as an analog horror classic.
The first two seasons are great and the continuing stuff is out there but interesting in it's own right.
Greylock, midwest angelica Gemini home entertainment, the monument mythos. There's loads to go for.
i find the name "meat snake" kinda hilarious, as if literally every single snake in our planet were not quite literally made out of meat already.
I got a few suggestions for analog horror:
1- Harmony and Horror made by Battington
2- Dreams of an Insomniac made by Pastraspec
3- The Man in the Suit made by Unknowingly
You do not hear he knocking at your doors or windows.
Greylock, Gemini Home Entertainment, Local 58, Daisy Brown, Alantutorial, This House Has People In It, The Walten Files, FAKE DOCUMENTARY "Q", Midwest Angelica, and The Boiled One Phenomenon are all great horror series.
The story was being told since before Skibidi got popular, it's just now getting spelled out instead of told in pieces
Some universes you just need your standard-issue flammenwerfer to be able to werf flammen from time to time.
At the very start of the video, it reminds me of that sci-fi horror movie where I think it came out in the early 2000s where a lot of people found a old space station have been missing for a long time with its crew gone and I think it was said that it went through another dimension
0:02 Um... can I move to my room? I'm currently in the bathroom
1:44:33 all mentions of "war" means World War 2, not a parallel war or another war. It means just, WW2.
I love the vita carnis series they're amazing tbh
And da best part is how your reaction goes to "Haha funny" to "F*ck you"
12:00 clearly Makari isn’t familiar with kudzu, or she’d know how much of a problem a plant growing very fast can be
wait unit sshe watches terminal rally
vita carnis got a new upload: terminal rally
I mean, the Monument Mythos is a classic. A substantial classic at this point
A couple of fun analog horrors i could think of are " The Real" and "Arcadia" as a couple of suggestions.
Listen. The reason this isnt too scary is because its more facinating than scary
This doesnt disreguard the fact that it *can* be scary in a biological scale
Learning about something new that fits so good into biology and but can absolutely *FUCK* you up is absolutely amazing, seeing what these things do is really interesting
No other analogue horror i've heard of can be this good at installing fear into someone not by cheap jumpscares, loud noises, and cliche horror stuff
Instead by slowly easing in that this "thing" is nothing but bad, and get continuously dangerous with every monster, getting even more terrifying than the last
Including the fact that they have *actual* advice to fend off these "things" instead of being the video freaking out, stupid cringy "You cant escape" bullshit. They tell you how you can survive
1:10:43 "And that's how I met your mother"
Stop bullying the Trimmings they are innocent, precious fresh babies.
What? Makari is scared of Vita Carnis?
I am honestly dissapointed. I though that she could handle the big meat snakes.
This is how I'm watching Vita Carnis for the first time. I'm having your comedy balance out the horror. I'm a scaredy bot XD
i honestly love the longer videos!
25:45 Oh dear god. Makari didn't go deep enough. There's nine of the series, and one of them is a meat snake. 😨
You should watch "The Children Under the House"
How much you wanna bet Makari figures it out unlike most who reacted to that one whenever it happens.
I fucking hate knocking i have such good headhpones that that shit sounds so real its the same for panting and running
Ya know what isn't stopping these Carnis from existing on the Vita Carnis world. Any. Freaking. Nuke!
I love the harvester, I LOVE THE EGG!!!
VITA CARNIS TASTE TIER LIST
Crawl: taste like liver.
Trimmings: taste like rabbit
Meat snakes: taste fucking awful
Mimics: taste like humans
Harvesters: taste like squid
Hosts: taste like burnt jerky
Monoliths: taste like crawl
The singularity: tastes like grass
I sighted the Darien Quilloy interview
ua-cam.com/video/HitglivlSIs/v-deo.htmlsi=-nu2cccuayD9mDMW
This video started just as I was waking up , I was* confused up into i realized it was my phone 😅.
I'm subbed now lol, analog horror and tf2? W.
41:33 prey-pilled.
A huge recommendation would be Midwest angelica! If you like this kind of content, Midwest angelica is hugely underrated in my opinion.
Analog Horror suggestions:
• Dreams of an Insomniac
• The Man in the Suit
• Super Mario 64: CLASSIFIED
• The Arkham Tapes
I can see this as being a sort of slow acting version of The Many from System Shock 2. we know we are really screwed if they start to "sing to us in our minds" 😱
I've watched almost every vita carnis video, the one where the family dies is the only one i cannot fucking bring myself to watch, i don't wanna hear, see, or think about that shit. Peak horror though, that video seriously made me feel light headed when it autoplayed
Soulcorp is very underrated and it’s barely even started yet, Greylock, Gemini Home Entertainment and some others are good too
Howdy Makari, if i had to give a suggestion then it would be:
Basswood County by Dark Mind
Little Red Riding Hood by Foxymations
The Bat by OBLIVIoN
The Twilight Zone intro is great.
i like human think's like candy and lamp shade's
I am not mimic
1:50:30 the Sarkic cult seems most accurate, here, since Sarkicism is all about instinctual flesh.
Anyone tell Makari a new Vita Carnis video is supposed to drop 5pm Eastern time (US) on Samhain (Halloween) yet?
1:17:36 well if you say so
the man in the suit. godzilla turned horror
The makariverse needs to pay child support for the vita carnis
this reminds me of the Sarkic Cults of the SCP universe
kind of the church of the broken god, but instead of worshiping Mekhane, the machine god, they worship The Flesh That Hates
if the the church of the broken god goes "when I discovered the weakness of the flesh it disgusted me"
and the Sakic Cults go "When I embraced the truth of the flesh, I found its strength and potential to transcend all limitations."
Omega mart we have no idea whats in store for youu
Some series I’d love for you to check out:
Midwest Angelica, Gemini Home Entertainment, CH/SS, Angel Hare, and June Archives (this one is more so digital horror surrounding the legendary Nintendo DSi/3DS animation app, Flipnote!)
I hope you were able to sleep that night

And, yes.
They ARE dumb enough to have Trimming Shows.
Trimming shows.... dumb?
You need to watch Shin Sonic
After this I'd like to see something like Jurassic park analog, stuffs freaky
Context: The ØRB relates to a real-life phenomenon called the Blood Moon
More please I love analog horror
Man in the suit is a good analogy horror
wow, her voice is perfect
Suggestiom for an analog horror: Dreams of an Insomniac
*DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE TRIMMINGS*
Oh I can't wait to see this fun. This
1:20:36 Oh my gosh…THE BABIES!!!🥹🥹🥹
I recommend watching film theories video on this it's good and real surprising if you haven't watched the original
love this
suggestions i can think of "man in the suit", "Harmony and Horror", "Walten files", Battington's "Harmony and Horror" and Battington's "fnaf tapes"
Local 58 is a personal favorite of mine.
Fun fact: Veta Carnis has as of November 2024 has dodged Rule 34. I'm both relieved and disappointed.
The mimic is interesting also cuz looks like a abnormality from lob corp-
I searched it up and meat snakes are real💀💀💀
she did not no wear thay come from thay come from the crawl and the crawl comes from the singularity
wait so vita carnis has a "cloud" creature now??? damn.
The man in the suit
COMMAND AND CONQUER MENTIONED HOLY SHIT 7:49
Winter of ‘83
makari should watch Gemini home entertainment
I would recommend Stone Cold 0 too your list pretty good story.
First: watch some vintage8 please.
Second: the 'flavor enhancer' is host of influence spores.
Thank God
52:48 - 53:25 And 54:41 - 54:57 "DO YOU HEAR THAT SOUND? - THAT BEAUTIFUL SOUND?" :)

okay edgelord, you're so cool.
@bungiecrimes7247 That sarcasm only feeds my ego, so thank you.

I'm sorry for this but........HOLY YAP😭😭
Slightly miffed she listened to the viewer and skipped to the harvester video instead of watching them in order but that's just me
Absolutely do more longer reaction videos. Your voice is nice and you make entertaining comments.

stroke the ears
Do Gemini Home Entertainment next. It's very good
Gemini Home Entertainment
New to the channel someone tell me who or what’s Makari also vita Carnis is another instance of space aids
Sugestion, how about The Walten Files
