Very well done !! With your skills/tooling a DeLackner flying platform had you in the air a long time ago.... The Hiller is a very inefficient machine....too small rotors/propellers-too much power needed. You are a very skilled fabricator !
excellent work. I always wondered why no one picked up this project. increase the mass of the rotating assembly, for example by using a heavy fly wheel. That will keep the balance perfectly.
Maybe a 6 blade ducted fan will work better with that duct than the 3 blade propeller. Also the 2 stroke engines produce their peak power around 6,000-6,500 rpm. The pitch on the propeller might be set up to aggressive so the engine is is struggling to get to high RPMs. It sound like is running at 5,000 rpms but i could be wrong. I had 3 hovercraft all with Rotax engines and those engines run happy at 6,500rpm.
I encountered several of these, well Soviet designs as I was crawling through a fetid swamp in Russia. Later after I had destroyed an ICBM launching giant tank with screws instead of treads and dispatched a rogue Colonel who used a Davy Crokett to destroy a design bureau, myself and a codebreaker for the NSA(who turned out to be basically a triple agent for the Chinese but that's another story... Later on she gave birth to two of my 'kids') were hunted through a forest with soldiers on these as we made our way towards the sea plane that had come to pick us up. Soviets' design was much smaller and made less noise.
These things have existed long ago, along with the flying platforms, the flying jeep, and even upside down blenders the US army and private individuals had back 1/2 a century ago. With technology we presently have we can do a lot better than that and I am not talking about the typical up-scaled "unsafe" quad-copters many people have done with off the shelf components, but a clean elegant ultra-lightweight and efficient flying machine.

put the gyroscope in balance ... and lighten the structure .. or increase the power ..
You are source of inspiration. Love your work. Really nice.
Vielen Dank,😉🚀
Thank you for making this! What is the empty weight? and do you think its because it was too heavy that wasnt able to be stabilised by weightshift?

You need two engines one problem and build it with lightweight materials such as Plastics and aluminum
The Hiller platform had two 40 hp nelson engines that's a 65 hp rotax I believe you got there.
It look like a jetski engine, how did you keep it from over heating?
you're a brave lad! My uncle flew that thing several times...
Muy lindo para cortar pasto 😀
Bro used a gym fan from hardware store
Excellent attempt!
nice work keep going you'll get it.

How do you fabricate the duct?
Funny and Entertaining! I guess you can always make salad with it!
Soy su fan pero deseo ayudarle
😄😄😄👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘
Q lastima estuviera ahí yo para asesorarlo
Why not rotary engine more power for the size?
Такие леталки были созданны в США в 1950х гг. И летали!

been there, done that
Very good
Give go on guy, not to be exhousted
Make it out of lightweight plastic
Le faltan huevos a esas revoluciones por minuto
It’s too heavy , it can’t lift
Le falta rrebomuciones y una buena aspa osea elise mejor
The wieght of that must be a lot that's 18 ft of ducting going round the craft......need more Horse power.
HELLer:) мясо
Чудогавно
Rasenmäher
Bau doch gleich ein Hovercraft
(Vale ''callampa'' )
Desanima. Nao amigo se esse negocio nao voar, voces Ganhou um cortador de gramas gigante, somente abaixar as helices..
Hello
Man if that cannot fly use it then for grass cut hahahahah (music is haram btw)

It doesn’t fly like the original
Isso aí é apenas uma cópia FAKE. A verdadeira, bem antiga, funciona.
Ерунда.
replace that shity motorcycle engine with a electric motor
