      No they wont ... unless they are super-rich / working for the super-rich ... because ACCIDENTS - which WILL happen once these things become widespread - will be a great big negative headline turning people off. It is a niche product and there are other SLOWER AND THUS SAFER options in development ... which also dont make as much noise.

    XJET/WASP was the American's effort, worked, but the helicopter boys did not like the competition, the original Vertical Take off and landing of this style of Design was in France by a French company April through August 1957.
    The SNECMA Atar Volant or C.400 P1 was a French turbojet engine produced by SNECMA as part of their "Atar" series. Encased in a basic fairing which could hold fuel and remote-control equipment, the unit weighed 5,600 pounds (2550 kg) and generated a thrust of approximately 6,200 pounds-force (27.6 kN); the Atar Volant was able to cause vertical lift, Actual machine is on Display in France "Atar Volant C.400 P2"

    You, yes you from the future 2119 , if the internet is still around and this video, if this comment is still here, and you wish to know how it felt to be around the pioneers of your 'Jetpack 9000' that can fly you for hundreds of miles, I can only say it's great man, it's wonderful. I feel now what Thomas Edison felt, what Henry Ford felt, and I do think now how cool it was to be there and then 100 years ago . On October 1, 1908 the first T model was produced, now, after 100 years we have fully electric limousines that can drive themselves.

    So theres a max weight the hover board can carry. How much fuel you have is your weight subtracted from the max takeoff. Otherwise get a bigger backpack for more fuel.
    Jets are the same way. Theres only so much thrust available. Just because there are eight hard points to mount bombs on doesnt mean you can carry eight 10,000lb bombs.

    A sort of solution to the fuel problem, would be to tow a fuel tank, supported by a helium balloon.
    Program the release of helium in the balloon in proportion to the fuel used.
    It would have got you right across the English Chanel, with the option to fly the final stretch as in the video.

    Yeah I don't think this'll ever be for sale to the general public due to certain laws involving aircrafts in residential areas have to be a certain height, that height being impossible to reach for the amount of fuel and there's also the noise one of those jet engines is enough to make your ears bleed at 100m of distance, I think this is just for the wealthy people who have a crap ton of land just to mess around on with it this is also dictated by the price.

    • @WonderWorldYTC
      @WonderWorldYTC  5 років тому

      @@WonderWorldYTC yeah the reason there getting monitored like hell is because of people's privacy being invaded by other people using drones, most average people don't do this but it's the bad apples that spoil the bunch sadly same with most laws tbh
