    Great job!!!
    I'd add some reflective light strips for safty and shoulder straps which are connected with clips and can be hidden away whole riding . Love it!

      Ended up using some metal bathroom hooks, 1€ a piece, on a piece of wood that was protected from water and rain with marine varnish (lacquer ? How do you say ?) . Not super sexy but i'm satisfied. Very inexpensive.

    Hey man im about to try making my own panniers for a long term tour with waterproof nylon. Does the back plate strengthen the load bearing capacity of the material at all? I don't want to buy it if it isnt necessary.

    • @Kraftmade
      @Kraftmade  6 років тому +1

      Nice! Yeah I would say that the back-piece helps, it keeps everything rigid and is worth it.

      I used 1/8" doorskin 3 layer plywood for the back piece . Light , strong and the fabric is attached with small screws and lock nuts to the rack hangers at the top and external belts at the bottom.
