Thank you Annette for sharing all the variables in media to chose from. I was blown away when you picked up the pansy off of your photo as I did not see that coming. Simply beautiful. TYFS, Donna, in California.
Thanks so very much, Donna. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Funny thing that made me do that little "trick" was because I lost that flower on my table and couldn't find it, then discovered I had laid it on the photo. Blended right in!
Yay, I have Florals 4 (I think it's my favorite), plus the Soft Finish CS, watercolors, Tombow markers, Copics, Distress Inks AND Polychromos pencils. I'm think I'm good to go!
Hey Annette....I NEVER tire of seeing a flat blank piece of paper turn into something so beautiful. You are a wonderful teacher Annette. I've never tried flower-shaping before so my plan is to get my other projects finished first (as they are getting out of hand LOL), and then jump into this new-to-me flower shaping technique. Thank you, dear.
Hi Nancy, and thank you! That means a lot. I totally get the "other projects" thing. I hope you get a chance to try the flower making soon. Beware, though, it can be a bit addictive!
Gorgeous- so realistic. They are all pretty but my favourite is the one made with distress oxide. Thank you for sharing your skills and showing how the different mediums change the look of the pansy’s.
Thanks so much Carol. I'm glad you enjoyed them. I agree, the Oxides are just so smooth and pretty. It's my favorite way to color flowers now. Thanks for watching.
I loved this tutorial, you are such a Great teacher. I have been using Susan Tierney-Cockburn flower dies and you opened me up to more options. I do love using white card stock and then colouring the petals and leaves myself. Thanks for the inspiration ❤❤
Your flowers are amazing, and those leaves are so realistic. I can’t wait to die cut some of these and just play. Part of what makes Distress Crayons special is that they don’t move unless you move them.
I’m in awe of your artwork and I just think it would be so expensive to recreate this. From copics to a million die cut sets etc so much $$$ I love watching though!
Thanks so much for this! Ya got me when you 'picked' the pansy from the photo! I was just planting pansies and I notice that when they're in the light they have a shimmer. I wonder how it would look if a little Wink of Stella was added to the centers. I'm all about trial and error and just playing. Glad to see you're the same. The colored pencil really looks soft and natural. Good choice. Have an excellent week!
Hi, Anette❣️OMG, 🌸🌺I am new to your channel and I love your flowers💞 I am into flower making myself and you rock my creative world with your awesome tutorials, and you are so talented👍. And I love listening to your voice it is so calm and nice🤗I am from Denmark by the way, therefore English is not my first language, but I hope I am making myself understandable🙏 TFS🙏Big hugs from Denmark❤️🌺🇩🇰
Hello Karina and welcome! So nice of you to say, and yes, I understood everything perfectly. Your English is excellent! I am so happy you are enjoying my channel and tutorials. Thanks so much for watching.
Beautiful colouring and so authentic. I love listening to your voice it’s so soothing. Very similar to Kimberly Brown who does amazing colouring too. I don’t know if you’re from the same area. Thank you from me in Ayrshire, Scotland
Thank you Christine. I don't know if it's because I use a microphone or what, but I get that compliment quite a lot. LOL. Thank you very much. I will have to go have a listen on Kimberly Brown's videos. Thanks again.
I have looked for years!!!! For a pansy did! Where can I buy tlhese dies and the paper?? Will this take a brush repeatedly watercolor w outfalling apart?? You have made my year! Wow! You are incredible!! Please do more pansies! Bless you! Grace in Vt
Hi Grace, and thank you so much! Comments like this make me smile. Very kind of you. I think you'd have to be careful to overload too much water, but this cardstock is pretty tough regardless. If you click on my description where is says "Show More" you will see the links for the products I used. Thanks for watching, and sorry for my delayed reply.
@@AnnetteGreen thanks from the bottom of my heart! I did place an order! Wow the products came fast! I will think a lot of you when I make these! Where can I find reasonable prills? How can you cover prills w a bit of different corporation? What are they made of? God smile on you! Grace in Vt!
@@gracebrunelle1 Prills can be found on Amazon. I don't know of any substitute really. They are hard little pebble-like things. If you find an alternative that you can color yourself, please let me know.
Thank you Deborah. I have a Canon Pixma printer (specifically the TR8620) and use glossy photo paper. It's an excellent at-home printer that isn't terribly expensive. www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/products/details/printers/inkjet-multifunction/tr-series-inkjet/pixma-tr8620
These are very pretty but they're definitely not pansies. Pansies have that characteristic look to them with 5 petals, two of them being smaller and set behind the larger three. It's not a symmetrical or radial flower. So yes, these are pretty, and I loved all the tips for coloring the paper! But I would have loved to see the petals arranged in a way to actually look like pansies.
Thank you Sophie for the clarification. As a papercrafter, I always do my best but most importantly I like to have fun. If it isn't perfect, I'm still okay with it. I"m sure if you Google it or search here on UA-cam, you can find the perfect representation of a pansy by someone else. Thanks for watching.
Second row and 1,4, & 5 are my favs. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.❤❤❤
Thanks Tammy!

Thank you Katie. Have fun making yours! I hadn't used Distress Crayons in a while, and I almost forgot how they reacted. You're absolutely right!
It's funny but the way you placed the bottom row is exactly the order of how I liked them!
Oh too funny, Robin!

Thanks so much! A nice substitute would be using a Cricut machine and cutting the pieces out of colored cardstock. No dies or markers needed!
Wow amazing and the distress oxides are my favourite, cant wait to try it, Many thanks for a great video
Thanks! Oxides work really well since they're so creamy. Easy to work with too. Thanks for watching.
