I wanted to go out of my way to do something I don't normally do... To comment on your hidden paper clip tabs... First to simply say thank you, I know how much time Ave work that creators put into both the project/tutorial, and the taking, editing and posting of these videos we enjoy. But for you I wanted to let you know that I see a real gift of teaching in the way you've explained how it's conducted. You simplifies it and made it perfectly understandable and did it in a way I will always understand and remember so it now is easy for me to replicate.... And it wasn't before. I absolutely LOVE how many BEAUTIFUL and wonderfully UNIQUE gifts each creator is able to share that is truly a GIFT to all of us in this papercraft world and then each of us individually can take what we learn from you and others and put our own creative gift WE have, and the results blow me away as I scroll through. I love what you've contributed and I personally found it extremely, EXTREMELY helpful and took it from complicated to quite simple for me. Well done... And I have been an artist my entire life, from a family of artists, and papercrafting with vintage, soft, feminine ribbons, lace, jewelry bits, etc has been my thing for more than 3 decades, but I am coming back into this world after several years of a serious illness and wow have things changed, as it always does, and it's been fun to see. Keep teaching, sweetest! You've got a real gift for that. This was my introduction to you, so I'm looking forward to seeing more. Hugs and thank you my lady!!!! 💝🌷🌸
Thank you so much for that heartfelt encouragement and for taking the time to comment! I so appreciate your kindness! I hope you continue to improve from your illness.
These hidden clips are the best! I have made dozens. I made a set to label the sections in my collected recipes three-ring binder. Not only are the hidden clips so lovely they are also so practical. Thank you for sharing your well thought out idea!
Dear Lolly, Thank You for just being there with your videos! I am going for the first time in my life through a really tough phase in my career and you and Natasha from Treasure Books are healing my soul, because it's not just my mind which is practically bleeding at the moment 🤯🥴 So, thank you for showing the beautiful side of life ❤️
I'm so sorry to hear of this rough patch. Creativity is great for strengthening the soul and encouraging you to keep going. Thank you for taking time to seek out beauty!
Hi Lolly! UA-cam alerted me to your mention (For which I thank you!) and I'm so excited to see what creative people like you are doing with this idea. And now I can subscribe to get more of your fabulousness!
I just watched the Sparksbird video and said I couldn't understand how it worked. I truly hope im not offending any one but watching this video I do now understand, as soon as u opened the paper clip into that V , I got it. Thanku both ladies for a wonderful shared effort to explain and again well done Sparksbird for a fantastic idea x
@@karenmusa3052 Fun how our brains are all a little different! Lolly's way was harder for ME to follow. It's all in the wiring I guess. Very glad you were able to see it clearly in Lolly's explanation!
I saw SparkBird’s video a couple of weekends ago and I have to say she sparked so many ideas for so many creators, love it! I really like your design too. Thanks for sharing! 😘
Very cute idea! Great tutorial. I made some and then figured out how to make it seemless, with no visible seam from that small flap on the back. I just changed the measurements a little... so the paper would be 9 1/4 x 1 1/2 Scored at 2 1/4, 4 3/4, 6 3/4 (I dont flip it over to score that part because I found it wasnt all that necessary) and 8 1/2 This way, when you fold it, you can use the one piece at the end, to come down over the small flap, covering it, therefore making the hidden paperclip completely seamless. (the only thing different in the gluing process is to glue the spot where the large loop of the paper clip is first, and then instead of doing the other side of the paperclip, glue the flap down, and then glue the now longer piece over thhe top of the flap, coming down flush to the edge of the fold of that flap. (hope that made sense) I think it looks nice and clean and gives the appearance of a truly hidden paperclip. Also. one more thing I noticed.... with the glue.... you can use any glue to glue your paperclip together. Just cover each side well with art glitter glue or aleenes and the glue on each side of the paper will encapsulate the paperclip and it will not budge at all. No need to waste the more expensive or toxic glues on it... a simple decent white glue (or evben hot glue) will do the trick. I hope that brings more inspiration to your clips just as yours did to me :) Have a great day!
Thanks, Stacy. I always do the flip to score on that one line, as the purpose of scoring, other than a straight line, is to prepare the paper for the folding process. It's the stretching of the fibers, and the fibers should be stretched to match the direction of the fold. Of course people score which way they want and find convenient, but I go with the paper science on my projects to get the best crease possible. :)
Love this! This will be perfect for my recipe holder. It’s a wooden drawer that is open to view. Been putting off finishing it because I couldn’t figure out how I wanted the dividers. Wanted tabs but it limited the categories. This way I can make them square with the clips. That way I can add a new group and just move the clips across the top and viola! (Because you know they have to be in alphabetical order)😂🤣

Thank you so much. All you need to know about numbers of pages and signatures is that there is no rule. It is up to the crafter and the project. You include the number of pages you want and the number of signatures you want. It will be different for each project. I usually think of how big the cover is first, and then add enough paper to fill it, but even that isn't always the case.
I have been binge watching JJ videos. I love that you give the items needed for the project before you start! I find that is not the case with most other vids.
Thank you for this comment. It helps me to know what viewers want. I didn't used to list the supplies in the beginning; this was one of my first videos doing so. I wasn't sure how helpful it is. Since then I've only done it a handful of times, but I'll be sure to do it more often now. Thank you :)
