Lots of very useful basic words and phrases. I'm learning Thai in a very ad hoc way, and words like jaak and yuu are so useful when trying to communicate at a very basic level. E.g. I remember hearing and understanding "long jaak (rot) motosai" on my last visit - get off (down from) the motorcycle

can i say " kun ja yuu tii ni iik naan mai? " confused with what "tai" is in " kun ja yuu tai iik naan mai? "

    • @Peter_______

Hey Alle, the word "tai" in this sentence is used to specify the location (Thailand). You could just say as you mentioned -> "Khun ja yòo thêe nêe eek naan mái kráp? = "How long will you stay here?" , where "thêe nêe or tii ni" means: "Here"

You need a male teacher as well. It’s hard to imitate a high female voice. 90% of my post puberty language is learnt from men.
