I just bought this aircraft in DCS to learn and fly and have been having a blast doing it. THEN I see this come up in my feed a few days later? Lets go!
..ich denke Du verstehst Deutsch...einer meiner Lieblingskanäle ...tolle Modelle, tolle Arbeitsabläufe...bitte mach mehr Videos!!!...und komm' öfters nach Wien 🙂
This specific airplane i have lots of memory about. (Revell 1/48 version from 1991) Got it from my grandfathers odd brother in christmas 1992, he passed away 2 years later 80 years old. All the old people are since then long gone now, but i still have this airplane in my old room at my parents house. Will always take me back to christmas 1992. /Sweden
One of the best looking military aircraft to ever hit the skies! Amazing work on this model. Makes me want to get back into model building again. I really need to learn how to use an airbrush.
just try, any idiot can do it, I am living proof. I have low dexterity in my hands so I have to carefully plan what I am going to paint and then mask and remask, although I use liquid mask more often now.
@@jasonrhodes9683 If any idiot can then there is possibly hope for me. lol. It's on the list of things to do this year. And I ordered one of these F14 Tamiya kits as well.
This is not a hobby anymore. This is professional level. The cockpit, the painting, I am utterly impressed. The F-14 airplane kit may cost around $150 or $200. But all the tools and painting supplies are worth $10, 000 if not more. Great job.
My Brother and I had a ceiling full of every jet and propeller plane from the First World War to current hanging from fishing string fighting to the death. Me and my brother kept the local hobby shop in business. I loved putting them together and painting everything. We also made diaramas of famous WWII tank battles. 👍🏻
Simply amazing work Dusan, and a fantastic video!! I flew Tomcats out of Atsugi 1991-1994 (VF-154). If you ever have the chance to go to the Tamiya store in Tokyo, it's a must! You'll go crazy there... ;-)
i did this same kit a few years back. didnt do it very well since i didnt have the right tools n such, but, it still looks good even if i did it poorly. might just keep this in mind on my f-14D that im trying to build next
I bought the 1/32 scale Tamiya F-14, some years, make that some 'decades' ago. I got sidetracked in my attempts to assemble that kit! And it really hurt me when I was unintentionally separated from it! I hope to buy another one and totally commit myself to finishing its construction!
I had a kit just like that that I built in the 80s and the options for the decals were the Nimitz or the Iranian Air Force and I believe my kit was 1/32 scale and cost damn near $100
I used to build 1/48 F-4 Phantoms, my favorite, while stationed at NAS Lemoore when I was in the Marines back in the early '80's. I had VF-111 and VX-4 along with an A-4 and F/A 18 I displayed on my shelf next to the bunk. Officers doing room inspection would always stop in even when I was off the list for inspection just to look at them. My roommate accidently dropped one of my F-4s, breaking the landing gear. He felt bad about it and bought me a Tamiya 1/48 F-14 kit. Still have the kit, probably will never get around to putting it together. Getting old sucks, lol.
I had the same kit! Started building it, got sidetracked when I started building it. I've sworn to getting 'another' 1/32 scale Tamiya F-14 Tomcat, and completing its construction!
Do you have a email address or some way to get ahold of you? I have a vintage darth Vader tie fighter that I would send to you, just make a video out of it is all I ask. It's still in the box and I believe everything is still there.
Working on its predecessor, the F4F-4 Wildcat from Airfix in 1/72 scale. Someday I'll do a proper Tomcat (or three) and I hope to be half as good as you.
fyi - you board the f 14 via the ladders - that's why they're there - and usually don't stand on the parts that say "no step" - and the wings are ALWAYS folded until it's on the cat ready for launch
In the UK the Tamiya Lacquer Paints come in 10ml jars. Is one 10ml jar enough paint for a 1/48 Tomcat or is it better to buy the 100ml spray cans? I'll be grateful for any advice. 😊
The CAG bird belongs to the Commander of the Air Group, he is in charge of the all the aircraft, mechanics, flight crew etc etc.... It lives on the hanger deck unless the space is desperately needed. Its plane captain is the senior most chief in the air group. It is spotless. Even on the other planes, leaks are found and fixed, besides leaking vital fluids could cost the Navy a valuable plane and air crew, there are no flammables on the flight deck. They represent a safety and ecological hazard. Corrosion spells disaster, lose panels can be torn off by supersonic airflow around the plane
I am not really an aircraft builder but I love the f14 and you have made a lovely job of this one out of the box. Can you tell me where your surname originates as we have someone buried in our local graveyard bearing your surname (Lukic) and we are trying to find out from where he came. Thanks.
Hi , just wondered if you use Johnsons Clere on your canopies ?? We are havinig unusually strong sunshine in UK and I have noticed several of my canopies are going cloudy ! have you experienced this before ??
A huge fighter and the details are incredibly nice. That's Tamiya kit after all.
Красивая и аккуратная работа. Просмотр доставляет огромное удовольствие 👏🏻
I hope one day my dad and I will be able to build competition grade models; love from Pakistan; Excellent build
Amazing. My father was the chief safety inspector for this aircraft for 30 years. It’s a big part my families life.
that would be 2 years shy of it's entire service life -

I feel like I built this kit when I was like 11 back in ‘87. Didn’t fly like I imagined it would.
