I can't believe that this is LIVE" it is and the entire Tokyo show was amazing. Try Thunder Vengeance, the opening song to really set the mood for what was to come!!! These women have gotten so much better than just a few years ago, but they have only been together since 2016. The bassist and drummer come from the great Destrose band that dominated female metal for a decade and spawned other great bands with the Destrose members who left the band. Great reaction, and yes these women can play anywhere anytime and sound this good. They are a blend of 80's metal (Iron Maiden & Judas Priest) mixed with Dragon Force and then have that great bluesy vocals from Asami to really complete the package.
I think some of the solos might be "improved" in post-production, though. If you pay close attention, some of the held notes and vibratos don't quite match. I guess maybe they weren't quite happy with everything, and many bands do this. Their earlier blu-rays were more raw. I don't mind some ajustments but I do prefer it exactly as recorded live.
So much fun to watch someone who 'gets it' when watching LOVEBITES. They are in their 20s to 30 and each has been in several other bands previously. Asami, the vocalist, was an R&B backup singer before LOVEBITES. Thank you for promoting LOVEBITES !!
Yeah mate they've got that effect on the crowd. I know by my self I've seen them twice in 2018 and 2019 they was in Wacken Germany and UK. They like the 80's metal. Lovebites are the winners of 2018 in category of the best new metal band . They are really young. Miho the bassist is 30 years old. So they are around this years. That concert Five of kind in Zepp Diversity Tokyo was on February this year. On 21 of July they released on DVD all the concert it's nearly 2 hours. It's a just mind blowing stuff. You have to check the open show song Thunder vengeance, then Rise some hell, Signs of deliverance, Swan song, Dancing with the devil there a so many songs. And the musicianship and relationship what they've got between them is frickin unbelievable. They've got a purpose to make Lovebites one of the best bands in the world. In interview Miho said she would like to live in UK some day. All the songs are written by Asami the vocalist, Miyako the guitarist with the black hair, and Miho the bassist. For me it's my opinion Lovebites at the moment are the best power metal band in the world. I'm already waiting to see your next reaction to them. Stay safe and stay metal.
this pertformance is taken from their latest live bluray "Five of a Kind". The whole concert is future reference material. A truly classic recording. The band sounds undefeatable. They are flying! And the songs are packed with killer riffs.
I found them today as well... through this song... holy hell! They are reviving the old school and pure heavy metal in a way that's just amazing. I'm myself composed few metal songs and I wish I could write anything even half as great as this! This is everything wonderful about the genre in one song :D They've recorded at Finnvox studios here in Finland so here's hoping they can be brought here when the pandemic boils over. Yes, Miyako is the only one we know the age for sure (and I think Miho and Haruna are in the same ballpark). Miyako only started guitar at 18! but she was playing classical piano since she was 4, and she's amazing at it - check Swan Song (this white piano is no deco)

Hello. This live video was from their concert back in February 2020 in Tokyo. This is the release of their live DVD "Five of a Kind". They were due to tour Europe, but because of covid-19, all concerts were cancelled until next year. It's the Sake'! And the educational system. Arts are still an important part of the basic schooling and their Arts High Schools continue the schooling at a higher level. Talent is identified early and fostered. Example: Suzuka Nakamoto was accepted by the The School of Acting, Hiroshima at 6 yo. Bio on these ladies is musical training from a very early age, Miyako trained as a concert pianist from about 5 yo. Wait 'til you see/hear her play the piano in concert. Right now Japan and Korea are the best at fostering and developing musical talent along with all the other arts. Here too much of the time a talented child is treated as a novelty, with no support from the educational system.

Maybe they have a female metal school in Japan, they take them in the cradle and teach them how to play hard, heavy, speed, power, thrash metal. When they reach the age of 20 they crush everything in their path.

They're definitely not my cup of tea. Technically they're great players but the voice is awful!! It's as if Cristina Aguilera sang a song by Dragonforce, great voice but not for heavy/power metal.
Her voice took me some getting used to but I gave them more time because of the absurd skill of the band and the amazing blending of sounds and styles they were putting out. Now I'm glad she's on vox since it helps set them apart from the other 1,000,000,000 power metal bands out there that all have similar sounding front men. Give them a few more songs and see if you don't change your mind. I "found" them about 3 months ago... since then its my fav band. they have not one single bad song

Midori looks to be the oldest. Given that Miyako is 29/30. I can't find, just saying looks to be. She didn't start playing until she 20.
