the girls streamed for FREE the full concert that was out on DVD just a couple of weeks ago (and from where this MV is), an amazing gift for sure, and as a extra the girls where online during it, was very funny to see them eating, play instruments and so on during the whole event. And anyway today is the birthday of Miho, the bass :D
I discovered Lovebites about 4-5 months ago and I haven't stopped listening since. They are obviously great musicians but they are also fantastic songwriters and lyricists. When you said how they transition from genre to genre is what really grabbed me the most. From traditional 80s style heavy metal to thrash to power metal, they hit on all the styles of metal I love but with their own style. And as you can see, they kill it live. I would recommend The Crusade live.

These girls are so humble. They always give credit to Iron Maiden, Metallica, Priest etc., but honestly, they have far surpassed all those bands in sheer virtuosity. Just play Maiden's "Aces High" back to back with Lovebites' "The Crusade" and you realize, it's like comparing a six-shooter to phasers. Only one quibble: you need to give more love to Miho. She is the soul of the band, and had the foresight to recruit four off-the-charts talents to work with her (she knew Haruna from their previous band together, Destrose, as others have pointed out). She often gets overshadowed, but she is remarkable.
Miho is as good as anyone. I totally love her bass lines. I melt when she taps. I'm a huge MISA fan, too and I consider both ladies to be a gift to Rock and Metal music, and besides, they look so damn beautiful!
@@4thArmoredVet Japan has a lot of shredders, but where I'd say they are way ahead of the pack is the rhythm section. Tons of great bassists (MISA, Miho, Ryu, Sawa, Miyu, Erika, Boh, etc.) and filthy with insane drummers (Akane, Haruna, Marina, Mari, Fumiya, Kai, Junna, Nao, Yoyoka (still only 11 but already killing it), more.... Great music education system has to get some of the credit!

ARIGATO for the nice reaction! There are many talented musicians in japanese "Lady Metal" bands. I recommend ALDIOUS. "SPIRIT BLACK"(full pv) : This is the early time tune of ALDIOUS. The vocalist(RAMI) and drummer(ARUTO) are the first member. I think this is the most powerful tune in japanese "Lady Metal"bands. You will be surprised and satisfied.

Being an older person, I am used to four or so guys playing rock and metal music. I mean before the 80's with all the dreadful variants of metal and so called rock bands, that came along then. If I were asked to make a fantasy band Lovebites, would be it. Charming and attractive woman, not woman who dress as if they belong on a street corner with an equally unattractive attitude, which is the typical 'rock chick' look and women who can actually play and enjoy themselves whilst playing at their live shows. Band Maid, is another example of talent and beauty. Not sure what has happened in the West but it seems to be that female Japanese bands have taken up where English, 70's rock/metal bands left.
I embarrass myself by bringing it up repeatedly, but drummer Haruna really is so cute, it’s kinda like a little person back there?! just kidding... This video gives some perspective. The Singapore locals aren’t wearing heels and do seem to be short. But for reference, the tall waifish Lovebites member Miyako is actually only 5’2”(158), she just looks towering because nobody else is 5’(153), and Haruna is only 4’9”(145). Lovebites is fucking incredible. They rip out beats, harmonies, melodies and rhythms harder than 90% of all bands ever to exist.
