- This morning we wake up in Avignon for another beautiful day where we marvel the highlights of this magnificent city, such as the Gothic Papal Palace + the well preserved medieval walls surrounding the historic center of town. In the afternoon we visit the famous Pont du Gard, an aqueduct that is a masterpiece of engineering dating back to Roman times.
