This helped speed up my Lenovo laptop (operating on Windows 10). I appreciate how calmly & clearly you speak, how by example you show your screen, as well as your explanations & the speed of your tutorial. Also like how the video is broken down into sections which one can refer back to in time & click on a specific segment vs. trying to find it. Well Done 👏🏼 Thank You from 🇨🇦!
I did this last night as my laptop was very slow. After I followed your guide, I switched it off and I started it up today. My laptop is faster now and I haven't had any problems so far!
When 5 minutes pass and it's still trying to open task manager. I should probably just throw it out the window at this point Edit: it's actually impossible the search bar now won't open at ALL. (Sonehow i have two of the same by mistake and I'm trying to just TURN ON the 2nd one for like half an hour)
Thank you. Your suggestions helped a bit although I'm still getting unresponsive programs and some slowness. When I run cmd the first line doesn't match yours. it is C:\users\(part of my name)> I'm not sure how to run that last step. Honestly, I'm beginning to think I just need to prepare this Lenovo ideapad 330 for resale if I can get anyone to buy it.
Hi there, thanks for much for your review about the Lenovo Ideapad 320. I have two questions if you dont mind. 1 - Is it possible to work with this Laptop with the lead closed and in this case, I would be using only my two monitors that I have here. 2 - I would like to work with two monitors, as the Lenovo Ideapad 320 has only 1 port for HDMI. I bought an adaptor port USB C. Although the adaptor is working well for other devices (e. mouse, keyboard), when I plug in the HDMI of the monitor to the adaptor didn't work. In other words, although I have two monitors (brand new and same brand - Lenovo), only one I was able to plug in, in this case, I had to plug in directly to the HDMI port of the laptop. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks so much. Fabio
The question was not addressed to me, but as a community, I answer you. Yes you can work on the laptop with the lid closed, but you have to change the settings in the "power" section. The "When I close the lid" section presents a drop-down menu with four options-Sleep, Hibernate, Shut down, and Do Nothing-based on the laptop's power state: on battery or plugged in. To have multiple displays connected, you need a USB hub, which you can purchase online.
Mine ran fine for like 3 years then I didn't use it for a few months cause the battery totally crapped out. I plugged it in an start up was slower than I brick rolling down a hill of peanut butter. I upgraded the ram and wiped the entire computer then it was lightening fast for a week. Then constant blue screens and back to the slowest start up in the world. If your tips don't work this thing is going on the trash
@Crystal Dials I put a brand new 2TB hard-drive in it, downloaded windows on it and transferred absolutely nothing from the old one and it's like a brand new computer runs like a dream. 2TB hard-drive and 12GB of ram and this thing is a dream.
fucking windows 10 updates! This laptop is not capable of handle windows 10 in today's form! Anyway, you cant do nothing about it. No drivers are working on windows 7 and linux. Total trash laptop!
Lenovos tend to have a lot of bloatware default downloaded to the computer it’s unfortunate but if you do a clean download of windows it should help since none of the bloatware is tied to it like before
@@mojtabayaghoubi4606 I wish mine was like that I bought a laptop for school maybe 3 years ago I had the same problem from the beginning the lil machine was really slow today was the first day it started working at a decent speed. Unless you both have the same exact one then honestly have no clue ;( best bet is a reboot and a fresh windows 10 if the video didn’t work for you. The following worked for me. I think my pending.xml was a leftover task from IE, which I'd already uninstalled. Delete the Pending.xml file: - Open File Exporer (Win + E) - Navigate to C:\Windows\WinSxS - Locate the pending.xml file - If it's there, rename or delete Reboot If you need to Take Ownership of the file, make sure you're logged in as Administrator. Then: - Right click properties - Security tab - Select Administrator and click Add - Click Advanced, then Find Now to select your Administrator and click OK to add - Click OK, and OK again. You should be back on the security tab - Click Advanced, then double-click Administrator - In Permission Entry for migration, click select a principal - Click Advanced, then Find Now to select your Administrator and click OK to add - Check the box for Full control - Click OK, Apply, OK to exit

How if there's a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete during scannow in Command Prompt?
The following worked for me. I think my pending.xml was a leftover task from IE, which I'd already uninstalled.
Delete the Pending.xml file:
- Open File Exporer (Win + E)
- Navigate to C:\Windows\WinSxS
- Locate the pending.xml file
- If it's there, rename or delete
Reboot
If you need to Take Ownership of the file, make sure you're logged in as Administrator. Then:
- Right click properties
- Security tab
- Select Administrator and click Add
- Click Advanced, then Find Now to select your Administrator and click OK to add
- Click OK, and OK again. You should be back on the security tab
- Click Advanced, then double-click Administrator
- In Permission Entry for migration, click select a principal
- Click Advanced, then Find Now to select your Administrator and click OK to add
- Check the box for Full control
- Click OK, Apply, OK to exit
