Working with heavy stones, and opening a window is dangerous. Do not try this at home. Ask a professional to do it. Wear a mask and protective equipment for eyes and ears when cutting stone.

Ropes and pulleys, balancing and blocking, levers and wedges. Stonecarver talking. Oh, and a bit of dry sand sand between heavy stones and it slides much more easily into place

Its our personal choice, because the house is in a forest and in Portugal there are many forest fires. There is no obligation in Portugal to install one as far as I know.

Hi, can you explain the role of the copper pipe on the top on le lintel ? what is the purpose ?
Its for a fire protection system. Copper tubes because later I cannot get there anymore to tighten any fittings. So had to solder and it will be watertight longer.
