If you already own a 2546k and have the money for the upgrade and powerful enough pc, then go for it. Other than that i wouldn't upgrade, the difference is so small at least in the video. You can barely notice any difference. The 240hz Dyac+ 2546k is already really really good and enough, imo.
Well said OP. The only game I see benefiting off the 360hz is valorant because my frame rate goes that high. Unfortunately, I've seen too many pro and reg gamers switch back to go 240hz for many reasons. @@Edwardx703 agree, because backlight strobing aka dyac need a 1:1 hz=fps for a clearer image if your PC cant sustain a 360 fps ingame your 360hz monitor will look blurry mess. Currently rocking XL2546k capped at 200hz with 1600VT tweak this is the sweet spot for low input lag and perfect motion clarity its buttery smooth

I was hoping for something IPS or 2K that would be similar in performance to the XL2546. I realize that even at lower FPS, the 360hz and DyAc are still beneficial, but this kind of reminds me of the disappointment I felt when then 2080ti came out.
The xl2566k is better in every way lmao, better motion handling, customizable overdrive setting, faster response times, and way less overshoot, on top of 360Hz.

If 360fps is needed to see a difference, that means that there is no response time improvement over current 280hz TNs. That upcoming 500hz TN from ASUS is likely to have a response time improvement. I'll wait for that one instead.
Solid upgrade. While specs alone don't say everything, soon enough 480/500/540Hz monitors will start to show, I wonder how long it takes to optimize LCD with strobe for new refresh rate. Another thing, with DP 2.0 coming too, 1000Hz will be possible and really I'd expect to a switch to QD-OLED too. I'm sure it's all in early stages but yeah, we've seen prices of it that are even cheaper than some LCDs which is mind blowing, also moving away from LCD will be amazing in monitor space everywhere eventually.

I’m sure they will be pretty much the same with a slight edge on the zowie because of dyac, I think the Acer is just worth keeping considering it’s ips and will yield practically the same results
It is very disappointing for my use case, as it benefits only 4 specific games. The others can’t run at 360fps consistently, apex is capped at 300 for exemple and % lows are far from being at 240 fps even with the best possible hardware. The Viewsonic XG 2431 will still have better motion clarity than this one while being at 240hz and is usable for every game. I wanted to upgrade from xl2546k (crosstalk is annoying in some scenarios) but I guess I will wait a bit longer. Still, it is an upgrade and some players are going to enjoy this one.
@@Hsmzid good point! even we know fast TN provides a clearer and sharper motion clarity in game (than IPS), so we are also happy to see more reviews to share their experience in game with an equal/consistent comparison criteria between all comparison models.

Hi, we don't claim response time number due to there is no consistent measurement and condition between all brands, and models. So even if we present a number, it won't give reference meaning. Regarding XL2566K, it has the fattest native response time among other LCDs at this moment, so you don't need to worry about that :)

Hi, i think it may still have risk or not due to the fps stability. In general, it is fine, but it is not guaranteed due to each pc has different condition. So in summary, i think t is generally fine, but it will be more more safe if you have plan to update your hardware in the future. Or if you have issue on your current 20 series, then you can further adjust in game effect or lower the graphic card effect options, as to find a stable condition. Hi, if your main game goes under 200fps/hz, you can consider XL2546K, due to other panel types are natively slower than fast TN; and more than panel type, the experience comes from all design details are also different :) If you consider a long term investment, or you may play other game titles supports 30fps/hz, you still can consider XL2566K. Actually i heard someone have different option on this after they trying out those; someone prefer DyAc2 on XL2546X even he can feel smoother on Xl2566K; but some others still prefer XL2566K, so it depends. So for your reference, i think you will less regret to choose XL2546X than XL2566K (if you do), due to XL2566K is not all win comparing to XL2546X. So just pick up what you prefer based on your considerations :)

Hello Zowie, thank you for this. However I have some concerns - how will this display compete with upcoming 500hz display from asus? It has all of new nvidia features - most importantly reflex ones that help out with identifying system latency etc.. Your panels are perfect at what they do, but for gamers at extreme levels, there are now new features to be desired. Is there any way we can expect anything related to nvidias reflex analyzer or g-sync modules?
Hi, it is hard to comment on the future panel which is not ready yet. Due to the 500hz panel is still under developing and related design is not finalized yet, so it is hard to be compared with current models. @@ZOWIEeSports we got to see results of rtx 4090 and new CPUs, and considering there is next to no fps difference when comparing 1080p and 1440p, will we be finally seeing 24/27" 1440p 360hz *TN* panels from zowie? That would truly be an Endgame for 0.1% of pros looking for the best gaming monitor, while having great pixel density. Compared with DYAC+, high refresh rate, black equalizer and color vibrance, it would truly be one to rule them all. TN and qd-oled are the best screen technologies in my opinion. Lowest response times FTW.

@@ZOWIEeSports i have, R6 siege, 1440p 240hz screen, 27".. but it's an IPS display and it was atrocius. Bad balance of typical ips glow issues, too much brightness and ghosting/lower response times. It's just not enough for top level gaming. TN panel may lack color range, but it's fine and most gamers nowadays have 2 monitors. I myself have 2, the 360hz one and 1440p. On 1080p you can really see individual pixels especially when you get closer to it. If only there was a 1440p inside 24" panel..and all other juicy zowie quirks

never do that with dyac lol your game will look blurry, dyac need a 1:1 hz = fps stable for a clearer image if you want to know read some forums on blurbusters

Benq zowie... you can't put this 360hz monitor at 599 because 500hz monitors are just around the corner, 499 dlls would be correct and look to get a 500hz model soon because they want to recognize it or not, dyac adds delay and the colors of the monitor angles are bad, 599 seems wrong to me

Why is it necessary to reach a stable 360fps? I ran XL2546 at 240hz with DyAc playing Elden Ring, which was locked at 60fps and it was fine. How or why would playing Elden Ring at 60fps 360hz on the XL2566K be worse?
Hi, XL2546 is end of production for years, it is been replaced by XL2546K (240hz+DyAc), or XL2566K (360hz+DyAc) if your pc and game is capable if stable 360fps/hz.

Hello guys, if I buy this monitor (2566K) and set it to run at 240 Hz, am I gonna get the same experience as if I had the 2546K? I basically wanna use 360 Hz for CS:GO but for some other games I may want to go down to 240 Hz so I'm just wondering if I have a good idea or if it's better to buy a 2546K instead. Please get the release date at bestbuy, because I'm about to pick up the 240hz 56k version at bestbuy And talk to your superiors about the price because it turns out that viewsonic xg2431 has beaten the dyac premium in image clarity and that is an ips panel at 300 dlls. I think zowie is being abusive, it's not that dyac premium is so bad but they should lower it to 349 dlls and the 360yz 499 dlls, that would be fair. While zowie has said that dyac doesn't increase any delay it seems to be a bug, poor color viewing angles, they would have fared better in sales if they had been more affordable. They are competing directly vs asus viewsonic and acer... they should reconsider their prices. Especially with this new generation of 40 series rtx everyone will want 360hz or 500hz monitors, you should already be getting something out of that. I thought they would leave tn for ips at some point.

Lol i didnt notice any difference with 240hz and 360hz before when i had xl2746k and asus pg259qn. Dyac on or off is also the same for me so i just turn it off because i feel a little input lag with turned on. Just go with ips 240hz if your not going pro lol.

I just received my benq 2546k 3 days ago, although it was actually bought on September 9 but they brought it to me until 3 days ago and I have my opinion about it, compared to an alienware2518hf that I had and still have. When activating dyac premium with ama premium, when playing fortnite, I was receiving impacts that didn't come, I don't know if they call that an overshoot... but I put ama high and I think it improved the situation for me, I don't really understand why. Well in terms of image clarity, it's a bit better than the alienwarehf I had, but it's true that dyac damages your eyes a bit for some reason. However, gsync on my alienwarehf was also very good even though it was only gsync compatible, not premium. Currently I am satisfied but at the same time depressed because when I bought my benq, like the next day or on September 11, they announced the 360hz and they had already billed me at bestbuy for the 240hz benq, I wish I could sell it and buy the 360hz, I am going to try it. I think that the black equalizer is super good, I like it, the vibrant color is more than enough, the menu on the screen and the way of interacting is practical and I like it a lot, I like the design of the monitor a lot, and I certainly notice that it is a panel to compete, not for visual quality. I have never tried a premium gsync monitor, but at least with compatible gsync when activating gsync, in addition to dropping fps, it generated more input lag, I don't know if it's the same with premium gsync. In a game like warzone I doubt that in this new generation I will reach 360hz, that's why I think the new benq 360hz is very good. I think putting out 500hz monitors without the quality of visual clarity like benq has seems unnecessary to put out such monitors. I should place the new benq 360hz as the best monitor for competitive without a doubt. Your closest rivals competitively Viewsonic xg2431, acer predator xb252q, asus rog, aoc agon, we will see their potential when they go to 360hz. Regarding the AMA option, it is an response time overdrive feature, so there are always have side effect comes with each overdrive feature (here: overshoot image); so that is why we designed with different levels of AMA options as for customer to try out and then they can decide which level to take. It is just a scenario to imply: monitor is just a passive display device, there are other factors (such as pc, or....) impacts the smoothness of the display :D
HI, Xl2566K is fine to run as a lower hz or even with a lower fps/less smooth content from pc, due to it is a passive device. So it displays as what it gets, but can't turn a low fps image to be better smoothness as it shouldn't be.

@@Edwardx703 agree, because backlight strobing aka dyac need a 1:1 hz=fps for a clearer image if your PC cant sustain a 360 fps ingame your 360hz monitor will look blurry mess. Currently rocking XL2546k capped at 200hz with 1600VT tweak this is the sweet spot for low input lag and perfect motion clarity its buttery smooth

I was hoping for something IPS or 2K that would be similar in performance to the XL2546. I realize that even at lower FPS, the 360hz and DyAc are still beneficial, but this kind of reminds me of the disappointment I felt when then 2080ti came out.
The xl2566k is better in every way lmao, better motion handling, customizable overdrive setting, faster response times, and way less overshoot, on top of 360Hz.

If 360fps is needed to see a difference, that means that there is no response time improvement over current 280hz TNs. That upcoming 500hz TN from ASUS is likely to have a response time improvement. I'll wait for that one instead.

Solid upgrade. While specs alone don't say everything, soon enough 480/500/540Hz monitors will start to show, I wonder how long it takes to optimize LCD with strobe for new refresh rate.
Another thing, with DP 2.0 coming too, 1000Hz will be possible and really I'd expect to a switch to QD-OLED too. I'm sure it's all in early stages but yeah, we've seen prices of it that are even cheaper than some LCDs which is mind blowing, also moving away from LCD will be amazing in monitor space everywhere eventually.

I’m sure they will be pretty much the same with a slight edge on the zowie because of dyac, I think the Acer is just worth keeping considering it’s ips and will yield practically the same results
It is very disappointing for my use case, as it benefits only 4 specific games.
The others can’t run at 360fps consistently, apex is capped at 300 for exemple and % lows are far from being at 240 fps even with the best possible hardware.
The Viewsonic XG 2431 will still have better motion clarity than this one while being at 240hz and is usable for every game.
I wanted to upgrade from xl2546k (crosstalk is annoying in some scenarios) but I guess I will wait a bit longer.
Still, it is an upgrade and some players are going to enjoy this one.
But will the XG2431 have better motion clarity than the XL2566k at 240hz?

Hi, we don't claim response time number due to there is no consistent measurement and condition between all brands, and models. So even if we present a number, it won't give reference meaning. Regarding XL2566K, it has the fattest native response time among other LCDs at this moment, so you don't need to worry about that :)

Hi, i think it may still have risk or not due to the fps stability. In general, it is fine, but it is not guaranteed due to each pc has different condition. So in summary, i think t is generally fine, but it will be more more safe if you have plan to update your hardware in the future.

Hi, if your main game goes under 200fps/hz, you can consider XL2546K, due to other panel types are natively slower than fast TN; and more than panel type, the experience comes from all design details are also different :)
If you consider a long term investment, or you may play other game titles supports 30fps/hz, you still can consider XL2566K.

So for your reference, i think you will less regret to choose XL2546X than XL2566K (if you do), due to XL2566K is not all win comparing to XL2546X. So just pick up what you prefer based on your considerations :)

Hello Zowie, thank you for this. However I have some concerns - how will this display compete with upcoming 500hz display from asus? It has all of new nvidia features - most importantly reflex ones that help out with identifying system latency etc.. Your panels are perfect at what they do, but for gamers at extreme levels, there are now new features to be desired. Is there any way we can expect anything related to nvidias reflex analyzer or g-sync modules?
Hi, it is hard to comment on the future panel which is not ready yet. Due to the 500hz panel is still under developing and related design is not finalized yet, so it is hard to be compared with current models.

Compared with DYAC+, high refresh rate, black equalizer and color vibrance, it would truly be one to rule them all.

@@ZOWIEeSports i have, R6 siege, 1440p 240hz screen, 27".. but it's an IPS display and it was atrocius. Bad balance of typical ips glow issues, too much brightness and ghosting/lower response times. It's just not enough for top level gaming.
TN panel may lack color range, but it's fine and most gamers nowadays have 2 monitors. I myself have 2, the 360hz one and 1440p.
On 1080p you can really see individual pixels especially when you get closer to it. If only there was a 1440p inside 24" panel..and all other juicy zowie quirks

Regarding the performance of 240hz, XL2566K is the same as XL2546K; but if you set the display hz as 360hz to XL2566K (by graphic card control panel and windows resolution setting), the performance may not exactly the same even your game shows as 240fps as XL2546K.

Please get the release date at bestbuy, because I'm about to pick up the 240hz 56k version at bestbuy And talk to your superiors about the price because it turns out that viewsonic xg2431 has beaten the dyac premium in image clarity and that is an ips panel at 300 dlls. I think zowie is being abusive, it's not that dyac premium is so bad but they should lower it to 349 dlls and the 360yz 499 dlls, that would be fair. While zowie has said that dyac doesn't increase any delay it seems to be a bug, poor color viewing angles, they would have fared better in sales if they had been more affordable. They are competing directly vs asus viewsonic and acer... they should reconsider their prices. Especially with this new generation of 40 series rtx everyone will want 360hz or 500hz monitors, you should already be getting something out of that. I thought they would leave tn for ips at some point.

Lol i didnt notice any difference with 240hz and 360hz before when i had xl2746k and asus pg259qn. Dyac on or off is also the same for me so i just turn it off because i feel a little input lag with turned on. Just go with ips 240hz if your not going pro lol.
why are you using the zowie if you dont use dyac? thats pretty much all you pay for lol
@@jimlahey6692 lol did you read? Theres input lag when dyac on. On or off is the same for me in csgo or valorant thats why i turn it off. Only in apex legends that i see a difference with dyac on but i dont play apex anymore.
@@santinohilario7345 dyac is a usual strobed backlight, it does not increase input lag. it mainly affects the ghosting
I just received my benq 2546k 3 days ago, although it was actually bought on September 9 but they brought it to me until 3 days ago and I have my opinion about it, compared to an alienware2518hf that I had and still have.
When activating dyac premium with ama premium, when playing fortnite, I was receiving impacts that didn't come, I don't know if they call that an overshoot... but I put ama high and I think it improved the situation for me, I don't really understand why.
Well in terms of image clarity, it's a bit better than the alienwarehf I had, but it's true that dyac damages your eyes a bit for some reason.
However, gsync on my alienwarehf was also very good even though it was only gsync compatible, not premium.
Currently I am satisfied but at the same time depressed because when I bought my benq, like the next day or on September 11, they announced the 360hz and they had already billed me at bestbuy for the 240hz benq, I wish I could sell it and buy the 360hz, I am going to try it.
I think that the black equalizer is super good, I like it, the vibrant color is more than enough, the menu on the screen and the way of interacting is practical and I like it a lot, I like the design of the monitor a lot, and I certainly notice that it is a panel to compete, not for visual quality.
I have never tried a premium gsync monitor, but at least with compatible gsync when activating gsync, in addition to dropping fps, it generated more input lag, I don't know if it's the same with premium gsync.
In a game like warzone I doubt that in this new generation I will reach 360hz, that's why I think the new benq 360hz is very good.
I think putting out 500hz monitors without the quality of visual clarity like benq has seems unnecessary to put out such monitors.

Hello! Could I ask a question, is it possible to damage the xl2566k by using it without a computer capable of running 360 fps constantly ?
HI, Xl2566K is fine to run as a lower hz or even with a lower fps/less smooth content from pc, due to it is a passive device.
So it displays as what it gets, but can't turn a low fps image to be better smoothness as it shouldn't be.
