The big takeaway I had was how the third stroke of the g (and a, too, for that matter) barely touches the second stroke. I totally didn't give some of my letters "room to breathe" before and it looks so much better this way. Thanks!
+Adriana Renee Hey, Adriana! Check out my video on the basic stroke, "oval." I do a demo there. Basically, you want to use the following formula of basic strokes: entrance stroke + oval + underturn stroke Check out my basic stroke series to see each of these strokes in detail. Then also check out my video on connecting basic strokes, which will help you put it all together. Hope that helps!
this is so helpful! by the way, i used a sharpie stained brush pen and i found that the ink doesnt last for a long time (it finishes so fast) so i was wondering if i can get a recommendation for long lasting pens. thanks!
+Angela Ivana Hi, Angela! Sharpie pens in general doesn't last very long. Try water-based pens, such as the Tombow dual brush or Koi coloring brush. They have lasted me a very long time!!! Hope that helps.
+The Black Johnny Gat "Fluffy" - what a great description! :) Once your Tombow dual brush pen gets frayed, it can be frustrating because the strokes seem jagged and not so smooth. Personally, I still keep these pens to practice with or to do a sketch of my work before I do the final. Basically, I'm saying that it is unfortunate when the pen tip gets frayed, because it usually doesn't "get better." You can always call customer care - they are happy to help replace the pen if possible. And when you do get a new pen, be sure to hold it at an angle and use smooth paper to avoid fraying in the future! Hope that helps.
piecescalligraphy I barely even used this pen im so pissed. Luckily I brought another simply because I liked the colour so I can use that, if I ever get round to practising my calligraphy (its sooo hard)

it is helpful to slow down and draw letters not just writing. have you noticed kids dont know cursive understand the small n drawn differently...some other letters too like the small b. its wackky. thanks

I just realized this isn't a dual brush
They're both brush men strokes but it all depends on the pressure and angle to create fine and thick strokes
Where can I find the paper that you used in this video?
