@Exar kun The dark side cosmic entity Did I say Ulic had more raw power? Pretty sure I didn’t. Ulic’s Story is literally Anakin’s story but told from a different perspective. That’s pretty much what I said. And if you think I’m staring Exar or Ulic were weaker than Anakin in some way, that’s a slippery sloap. I personally view ancients far superior to the current Sith and Jedi… so maybe?
More proof that Disney flushed SO MUCH RICH STORYTELLING GREATNESS down the toilet for the absolute disaster they peddled to us all. Can you imagine the movies or even Disney+ series they could make about Tales of the Jedi and Exar Kun? It all plays so well into the story its tied to because of all places his temples and base of operations came from is the EXACT SAME PLACE the rebels blew up the first Death Star and later becomes the new homeworld of the Jedi when Luke puts the new Academy there. Thousands of years of history all tied together by certain places in the galaxy. But alas no, lets just drink turpentine and piss on a brush fire instead.
I actually had the second half of that comic! ya, Exar Kun was a total chad and a perfect example of how the Jedi keep screwing themselves and the republic over. If his master had allowed him to investigate the sith and taken his concerns seriously, with appropriate guidance given the possible corruption of the dark side, there is a real chance the sith would have stayed dormant for quite a while longer.
I interpreted it the other way. The Jedi in this Era were too permissive. Master Arca Jeth simply told Exar Kun off from exploring the tomb of Freedon Nadd, he did nothing to stop him. While Master Vodo didn’t do anything about the blatant arrogance, prejudice, and ambition in his apprentice, other then trying to reach him a lesson by dueling him. The Jedi in this era were remarkably close to one another. Both Arca Jeth and Vodo cared for their apprentices like their own children, and thus in my opinion were too lax with them. While in Ulics case this went the other way as once Master Jeth was slain, he fell to the dark side in a quest to avenge him. I think this lead directly to Revans era where the Jedi Masters tried to refrain from developing such closeness with their apprentices. Which in turn lead to the Jedi Covenant and their willingness to kill their apprentices, or Atris not taking apprentices, or just the general coldness of the Jedi of that era.
Also I believe Exar Kun never lost a saber duel. Also should look up Ajunta Pall, Also Tulak Hord, and Wrath from before the jedi sith split. Lightning Ball all I will say on that.

Great video please do the follow-up on ulik kill drama his story is just as tragic and very interesting
I don’t know where this idea of Exar Kun hating the Sith comes from. In the comics he was just curious as all hell, hungry for as much knowledge and power and strength as possible. His ambition is what lead him to the dark side, not his dislike of the Sith.
When Kreia said that, she was actually speaking about Lightsaber Combat, and how the ancient masters were lightsaber Gods compared to the more modern Jedi. Wasn't talking about the Force...
Each and every video about a great Sith we hear the phrase: "Was the only one to almost destroy the Jedi Order/the Republic". That feel when you're all "the only one" because each video must be as hype as possible instead of accurate.

Learning about Exar Kun is always fascinating
Ah my underappreciated favorite Sith Lord.
He definitely was the best lightsaber dualist of all time.
What about Tulak Hord?
Great Video my guy as always.
Appreciate it!
I'm a simple man
I see Exar Kun, I click like
"The Jedi and Republic are in the brick of annihilation"
"So it's Thursday."
"Yeap"
Also I believe Exar Kun never lost a saber duel. Also should look up Ajunta Pall, Also Tulak Hord, and Wrath from before the jedi sith split. Lightning Ball all I will say on that.
This is why the ancient Sith saw Palpatine as a joke. They had masters far more powerful than him.
No ancient sith saw Palpatine as a joke
How could they see him as a joke if Palpatine wasn't born yet?
@@Maine03 Yes they did. He commanded their spirits to heal his last dying clone body, they told him to go screw himself.
@@nobleman9393 Because their spirits were still around when he was ruling.
@@HolyknightVader999 no they didn’t they showed him to take Han and Leias child
i love how unique exar kun's double bladed lightsaber is. it all all the advantages of a double blade and a single blade without the disadvantages.
Chad Sith
>Walks into the Senate and kills the republics leader
>Initiates space jihad and slaughters trillions
>Brings republic to it's knees
>So revered virgin Jedi join him in order to become chads
>Thousands of years later other chads continue your legacy and go to the dark side
>Doesn't kidnap kids, people are just attracted to your power
>Feared by all, even the Hutts don't dare fuck with them
Virgin Jedi
>Can't marry, can't have fun
>Kidnaps kids and indoctrinates them
>Seen as weird religious fanatics
>Students defect and join the Chad Sith over millennia nearly wiping out your order several times
>Too cowardly to take over the Republic permanently, gives up power after crisis'es pass and become lapdogs
>Allows injustice like slavery and the Hutts to exist despite being the good guys
Great comics and stories from Dark Horse Comics. Dark Horse's Star Wars comics were the best! They are a million times greater than Marvels Star Wars, and are better than the New Trilogy of Movies as well. I miss this part of the EU...
Great video so glad so many more need to talk about. Him. Exar is a precursor to Anakin Skywalker in the way of that he could bring so much good to the universe by understanding the sith and he would not be consumed and changed well did he know he belong to it and didn't realize it he was much more of a sith than he realized he was as a Jedi knight. Great video please do the follow-up on ulik kill drama his story is just as tragic and very interesting
Hey Geetslys you should do a Collab with Theory over Exar Kuns whole life story!! I would love to see that!!
I don’t know where this idea of Exar Kun hating the Sith comes from. In the comics he was just curious as all hell, hungry for as much knowledge and power and strength as possible. His ambition is what lead him to the dark side, not his dislike of the Sith.
Yes indeed, while Kun never intended to follow the dark side he ultimately succumbed. I think Geetsly just likes putting his own spin on this tale.
12:20 that panel is so chilling for me.
I hope I'll still be alive to see an Exar Kun Movie, if we ever get one. 🙏💙
A Tales of The Jedi dualogy would be a real treat. Star Wars, but with Lord of The Rings aesthetics and gravitas.
10:11
I can almost hear Duel of the Fates starting up on queue.
And strolled into the senate building like an absolute Chad
Virgin Maul vs Chad Exar Kun.
As darth traya said; the sith in today's day and age couldn't hold a candle to the abilities of the dark lords of old
Why do I get the feeling that the Force and/or the galaxy is slowly declining?
@@michaelandreipalon359 it has been sadly, they just don't make them like the sith of old any more
When Kreia said that, she was actually speaking about Lightsaber Combat, and how the ancient masters were lightsaber Gods compared to the more modern Jedi. Wasn't talking about the Force...
I like how people have replaced the word “boss” with “chad”
A Chad will never be as good as a Boss.
Well, "omegaboss" doesn't sound as good as "omegachad" does it
Too much Dovahhatty 😁 - so many mudhutters, so little time...
I miss formal language in the Internet culture...
Each and every video about a great Sith we hear the phrase: "Was the only one to almost destroy the Jedi Order/the Republic". That feel when you're all "the only one" because each video must be as hype as possible instead of accurate.
Imagine hating the Sith but then still deciding to follow a Sith spirit to his evil planet
An interesting video. The true lord of the Sith.
Great video.. I missed out on this extra SWU storyline. Thanks.
For those touting Disney's foray into SW universe, Disney is all about the riches that movies bring. I've seen mac & cheese SW, Icecream s'wiches touting Clone Wars, marshmallow cereal. If they thought of it they did it. Except for Grogu's blue cookies that he threw-up. Plus , not to forget the collectible market.
Love the Videos that go into detail of some of the less known siths‘ stories!
1:33 when you meet a bro who possesses the same Chad like energy as you.
Exar-Kun: The story of a man too angry to die
They really need to make a trilogy about this time in the old republic.
Exar Kun MADE the sith. the original Sith may have started it, but it would be itching without Exar Kun.
Tales of The Jedi was truly something else. Star Wars, but with Lord of The Rings-like aesthetics and gravitas. Just imagine what it could have been like if put on screen........
Disney will ruin it with wokeness and poorly writing
Yes do qel droma next please!
Grees armor is severely underrated
Leave it to the Sith to make one of the coolest lightsaber variants
E-Kun Senpai! You saved us!
What do you mean ive been sleeping on a sith lord?? Who told you about my Darth Talon body pillow?!
I can never NOT hear Exar Kun as said by an anime girl. "Kyaaa Exar-kun!"
I remember getting excited whenever I'd be playing kotor and would hear his name mentioned
Agreed exar Kun is the most powerful sith
Marka Ragnos, Naga Sadow, and Ajunta Pal are on par with, or stronger than Exar Kun.
Tulak Hord, vitiate, palpatine, bane, revan and krayt
@@omni-nerdno7191 Krayt is a terrible character, as is Vitiate, I agree with You otherwise...
@@steelshanks1265 whether you like them or not as characters doesn't change the fact that they are fucking powerful, ones a guy who can simultaneously possess everyone on a planet and then consume all life on it and the other basically become invulnerable without major drawbacks and fought abeloth.
@@omni-nerdno7191 Yer making My point for Me... That's all INCREDIBLY lame, like the characters. Darth Nihilus can eat the life of a planet, yet he's trapped in a spirit type form. Form power like that, you need an equivalent exchange. Do you not see it? It's like using Vader to sell the terrible stories they are making now...
Dark horse really made great star wars stories. I remember reading those stories.some of the greatest stories along with the books.
What would've happened if Swtor's Sith Inquisitor Darth Nox/occulous/Imperious had taken Exar Kunsl's ghost like they had with the other ghosts?
If nox chose to keep enslaving ghosts I can picture one of 2 things happening. 1 he becomes so powerful it puts vitiate and palpatines combined strength to shame or 2 the power overwhelms his body beyond what the mother machine could protect them from, leading to a rapid death from force walker sickness
I thought of 3rd possibility, Nox might consider Naga/Nadd/Exar failures and leave them be, much like Palpatine did.
I think that depends on the choices with the mother machine. If you use it unchained i bet you could totally handle that much power, if you just have it reset normally and don't free the machine pretty sure you can't .
I'd put my money on Exar Kun over Palpatine 7 days a week.
why have one blade when 2 on one hilt is better
With lightsabers yes with actual swords ehh that is a battlefield weapon
Becuase it isn't better. It's actually much worse. It limits what you can do more than it improves the weapons.
@@Dead_Pool_Rising actually false it’s more effective in combat but umm it’s a battlefield weapon kind of thing, that is because it’s cumbersome and with medieval technology it would not be able to separate making it hard to make it two one handed swords,
Ah yes another path of destruction reader
Especially if the saberstaff can be split into two individual lightsabers. Shame we can't do that in the KotOR duology and Jedi Academy.
...There were also those overkill multi-blade lightsabers from Phineas & Ferb: Star Wars. Anyone know that?
Kal dremer:hey u guys want to fight the Jedi?
Mandalorians:U son of a bitch we are in.!!
Who would win in a fight and why? Exar Kun vs Tulak Hord? ( possible misspelling).
YES!! Do Ulec Qel-Droma next plz!
My boy used to have a tattoo based on exar kuns it was pretty badass
Lol YOU'VE BEEN sleeping on him.
Not anymore!
Best video so far man
Kun's life would make a great game series.
Especially since he's primarily a lightsaber combatist it would be cool for a VR game
What a BAMF!!!
Geetsly's, when are you gonna make vids about Vodo-Siosk Baas, Ulic-Qel Droma, Aleema Keto, Nomi Sunrider, and Arden Lyn?
Also, can you do a vid about Exar Kun's plan with Kyp Durron in the future?
I’d love to see something about that as well! Nomi Sunrider’s story as well as Ulic’s and Vima’s was one of my absolute favorites!
The Senate is not at shame. In fact, he puts ALL the Sith to shame.
Love the videos abt the old sith wars
And later both the future jedi and sith would adopt the double-bladed lightsaber.
That was a great story thank you.
"I want to destroy the Sith"
*Becomes a Sith *
Wasn’t he able to use his double blade with just one hand?
OLD REPUBLIC > HIGH REPUBLIC
Have you tried reading any of it?
@Azreal Cinder It is. The comics are interesting and they're doing a superb job of interconnecting the individual stories. I'm still working on Light of the Jedi, but it's really gripping, especially the first hundred pages or so with the Great Disaster. The next novel in the series just dropped and it's been getting quite a bit of praise from more than a few prominent UA-camrs
would absolutely love any videos about the old republic
kotor is just blowing up right now
I love exar kuun he's one of my all time favorite characters
The beeping in your video made me think I needed to charge my headset.
Anybody notice how the dark Rey character matches the Force Unleashed 2 Starkiller? The pose, the lightsaber, Haden Blackman really needs to get back to it.
Anybody know what kind of comic the video was describing? I'm eager to learn the ancient years of Star Wars
Tales of the Jedi from the 90's by Dark Horse Comics. Amazing books...
