Very interesting, but the coloring should have been done with more care: All these blue flags with a white cross should actually be red with a white cross - the Danish national flag! This actually makes me notice that there is a funny absence of red in the whole movie! Is that maybe a more common technical problem when coloring old black and white films?
Interesting video for sure. There are many flags in the video, for instance at 5:59, and they would all most for certain be red and white. Danes love their flag "Dannebrog". Displays the limitations and shortcomings of the current digital colorization techniques.
Although we see red as a bright color, on black & white film it typically looks dark, hence these black (or dark blue) with a white cross flags. As I watched, I asked myself, "Does anyone really have a flag with such somber colors?"
