- Travelogue showing the wonders of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Lots of nice footage of a boat trip through the city with a girl in a great shiny red PVC coat giving a guided tour. Various shots of local Copenhagen women working on the dockside on stalls selling fish. The women prepare the fish for sale. Various landmarks are seen then a pavement cafe, the Tivoli Gardens (including views from the crazy big wheel), various fairground rides, Copenhagen Zoo etc.
Shots of the Little Mermaid statue. Hydrofoil zooms past. Interior of the hydrofoil - looks like a fairly rocky ride. They are headed for Sweden. Yachting off Elsinore. Hamlet's Castle at Elsinore (?). Various shots of the castle and views of the harbour. Tram ride through Copenhagen and more scenic shots of landmark. Family are served lunch at a pavement cafe. Hot sausage stall - group of women dip sausages in mustard. Traffic policeman directs cars and many people cycle past. Postmen in bright red jackets are seen cycling through the streets.
Cycle race at a professional racing track. The Danes are racing against the World Champions - the Russian Olympic Team. Various shots of the race and then a tandem race.
The Tivoli Guard and the King's Guard on parade at the Royal Castle.
Night shots of Copenhagen - bright lights and decorations at the Tivoli Gardens. Fireworks.
"Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen" is played throughout.
Cuts exist - see separate record.

I love old photographs and films of Copenhagen, when the tram network was operational. I would like to "go back in time" and be able to ride on it.
I use to catch the train from Belgium to Copenhagen on vacation and extended weekends back in the early 1980's. I remember the wax museum there was a Premier attraction. "Christianshavn" was also an attraction. I remember booking rooms at the train station for 10 crowns a night. The First Airbnb. Just a wonderful experience every time I visited.
... and home of the wonderful Olsengang ;) All the Pathé films in this series I have seen work like a strong, velvet Espresso. Probably because its my year of birth. Thankyou ♥️
København, my beautiful hometown 😊 thx for a nice video..
I was in Copenhagen last month! Its a nice city! I'm from the Netherlands. Back in the 70s Copenhagen looks like Amsterdam!! and Denmark looks like the Netherlands also! The Landscapes looks like the same as us!
Denmark is much more beautiful than the Netherlands, Denmark has only one neighbor country it's Germany otherwise it's surrounded by water
As a german I totally agree. It's a miracle of nature that we are in between you two and don't seem to fit in. Also the spirit of Dutch and Danish are closer to each other. However, two great countries to go for holidays.
Thanks for uploading this!
I was born there, February 1964. That was my first summer I never recollected, being just a few months old. My big sister was 2 years old. My mother, 23, and my dad, 24.
I was born 13th February 1964 in New Zealand, but my ancestors were Danish.🙂
I was born 1st of April 1964 in Copenhagen
I was 3 years old
If someone would ask me: In which time you would like to live 1964 or now?
My answer would be 1964. It was so beautiful. I wished I could go back to this time.
Copenhagen surprisingly didn't change that much at all compared to other European cities.
I honestly don't think copenhagen has changed that much since then. Everything is very recognizable. Where the fishmarket is in the beginning, there is very crowded during the summer with people who sit and drink beers in the sun. The road is also gone and the waterfront is filled with café's
Πολύ όμορφα χρόνια😊

I'm interested in knowing the name of the street or square at 1:28
It's Rådhuspladsen (literally "City Hall Square")
Thank you:)
Copenhagen - is the capital of??
Denmark!!
Hope I don't sound rude but if you know enough about the internet to have a UA-cam account and know how to post a comment surely you could have googled that in seconds rather than post a question and wait for one month till somebody replied.

Denmark. Yay! 😀

Looks a bit like Prague.
Before the demographic change/addition.
