What a treat! Cheers for the midweek bonus and for sharing your (well deserved) family holiday with us all! Looked fantastic mate and well edited considering it wasn't a regular video format. Bravo!
Nice to see you traveling with your wife & son. It is quite evident that you love Blair so dearly (is doting the right word? I do not know because English is not my mother tongue). Keep it up Scott. You and I are same age group but different cultures. 😊
Brilliant stuff. I adore scotland and can't wait to visit in october. We plan to visit inverness on way to west coast and skye so this video is great (just like all your content - but love your scottish stuff in particular)
Really enjoyed your family holiday Scott we went to Inverness last year and loved it love your videos Thanks and take care Pauline from Blackpool living in Canada 🇨🇦
You did really well Scott...covered a lot of miles! This is my part of the world, where I originally come from and I've not been home in a while..I'll not lie, I had more than one tear in my eye, thank you for showing how beautiful it is up there. Excellent Episode, thank you.
The far North is such a wonderful place . Fantastic to see you exploring with your family . Thoroughly enjoyed watching . Safe travels Scott and family
wow what a stunning place for your holiday. we forget we have so much beauty here in uk. We went to the highland wild life park but i dint really rate is as when we went we walked a long way to the animal viewing areas only to not the the animal as they were ?hiding behind distant thicket. The highlights to our scotland visit were brodiie castle cairngorm mountain walk the cairngorm reindeer unhurt castle loch ness and dogie falls. the riendeer seeing them in the hillside wow .
It's great to see some of Dornoch it is very beautiful there in the most beautiful countryside this part of Scotland and i really enjoyed seeing all of the historical looking buildings as well as the local stores eateries and other interesting places thank you.☕👋🇬🇧
Dornoch is a pretty little town near several places of interest. At the right time of year salmon can be seen leaping up the Falls of Shin. Glad you got fine weather, but no - it is not the Caribbean, that is why you were all wearing jackets! I grew up near there so it was good to see the area again. Leakey's Bookshop, Inverness - well worth a visit.
Great to see you exploring the North of Scotland with your family (think you and Blair owe Sue for doing all the driving!) you really took in some lovely scenery. I know Scotland gets a lot colder than my home down here in Sussex but I didn’t know it was so cold you had polar bears!
How lovely to 'meet' Sue! She seems fun! Please leave a link to the Airbnb so we can support another business. I bet Scotland on a Shoestring would love the graveyard in Dornach! Fun fact. A horse bit my car a the Highland Wildlife Park!!
That was an awesome video Scott. Thanks so much for sharing your holiday. Whenever you travel about I look it up on google maps to see where abouts it is 😂. I really enjoy seeing Scotland, it is such a pretty country.
Nice to see another video with the family. Scotland is beautifull, hope to see it myself one day. Thanks for sharing Scott and best wishes from Telemark
Lovely video it took me 2 hours to reach the end...kept coming across places I had to Google search! Hope making it didn't interfere with your holiday too much.
Firstly I'd ask, how many teenagers go with their parents on holiday? And secondly, how many would agree to appear on camera with their old man? So, well done Blair. But I'm not sure about the order of the trip. You travel south from Dornoch to Tain, then back up to Golspie, and back down to Inverness. I used to do the trip north from Manchester to Thurso regularly in the 90s, and the bit north of Inverness is ingrained on me! On one occasion I was at the front of a queue of traffic in heavy fog. Stevens of Wick HGVs thundered down the other side of the road and there was I struggling to find a place to pull in and let others pass. Eh? Nein!
I remember having a very similar holiday up in that corner of Sutherland around 1998 or so. Can't remember the full details because I was young, but we definitely hit Dornoch, Tain, Dunrobin Castle, Bonar Bridge, Falls of Shin, Embo, Brora, Littleferry, we were even able to squeeze in a (long) day trip to Orkney as well. Also many years later I got to stay in Carbisdale Castle as well.
Looks a lovely and interesting place to go on holiday. I agree with Blair, that sausage and mash looked amazing. Loved the pictures you did of the escaped monkey too. Great video Scott.
Looks like a great week’s trip! I really enjoyed seeing you and your family exploring. I was lucky enough to bike thru the Inverse area - so pretty! Great video!
Many memories of staying at Grannies Healand Hame caravan park in Dornoch. Dunrobin castle is amazing. Always managed to pack loads in also. Great seeing Sue again
Worked a couple of seasons there before covid when the town was packed with coach tours .covid came making it a ghost town .one of the best golf courses in the uk
Great to see you enjoying yourself with your family Scott, in such a lovely part of the world too, I love the area round Dornoch. Mind you, to my shame I’ve never been to the falls of Shin, definitely next time!
Really enjoyable, thanks for bringing us along on your family trip, I live in denmark but am from the highlands so it was so nice to see all the local haunts.
Knowing all those places so well, and now not able to get out much, it was wonderful seeing them again with you, Sue and Blair. You were so near my home town at the Wildlife Park! Lovely video Scott. Thank you....more please. ❤ 🍕 😋 🍺 😊
That shipwreck looks like one of those small ferries similar to the larger version featured recently in one of Steve's videos, I think it was the one when he went to Foula. The turntable crane is used to lift cargo on and off from the quayside.
I've stayed in Dornoch twice, first time I had an accident at the Falls of Shinn missing on trip to the Orkneys. Following year the Orkneys trip was cut short due the ferry being late and the driver didn't want to miss it going to John O'Groats. .Madonna and Guy Richie were married in Dornoch.
Very nice to see your family. Thanks for the little road trip, I have only been to Glasgow twice in my life, my only scotland experience 😢 I need to see mlre of your beautiful landscape!
Spent 25 yrs holidaying with family at Embo Nr Dornoch. Thanks for bringing back so many lovely memories. You might try the train from Inverness up to Wick if you haven’t already. Just a stunning part of this country. #happydays
Dornoch is a great wee place. The timing of this is really coincidental though. I was in a chippy in Dornoch with my dad when we saw the news about 9/11.
ive had moose in my fields the last few mornings, working on browsing the apple branch tips a viewer from the mountains of SW Montana, fall is settling in color showing in the trees. The sandhill cranes stalking the fields and the deer and elk showing signs of the rut. frost in the next couple days along with snow showers predicted
Hit me right in the feels visiting my birth place of Inverness. Guessing the castle is still under renovation. Should of walked down to Ness islands and riding the mini train 😅
planning a 5 or so day NC500 trip (from Melbourne) for this time next year... this was the perfect tonic to inspire me even more, if that was at all possible
What a treat! Cheers for the midweek bonus and for sharing your (well deserved) family holiday with us all! Looked fantastic mate and well edited considering it wasn't a regular video format. Bravo!
Not quite the area I like the best in Scotland - the Moray coast area - Nairn/Forres/Elgin - maybe a video from there? From yourself or SM.
Enough of the watching Scott, get yourself out together for a round the world challenge together. 😂
Scott travels the world and generously takes his family to the rain filled country of home 😂
Oh come on! It doesn't rain all the time.....
Right now there'll be someone gesturing out across a Caribbean beach, saying "this could be Dornoch"
What a beautiful area! Thanks for taking us along on your family vacation.
Nice to see you traveling with your wife & son. It is quite evident that you love Blair so dearly (is doting the right word? I do not know because English is not my mother tongue). Keep it up Scott. You and I are same age group but different cultures. 😊
Really loved this one Scott. Brings back happy memories of my childhood visiting family and days out in Scotland. Thank you for sharing.

A great family holiday
Really enjoyed it
Lovely video it took me 2 hours to reach the end...kept coming across places I had to Google search! Hope making it didn't interfere with your holiday too much.
Takk!
That wreck was probably an oyster boat or an inshore crabber, or possibly for scalloping. A flat bottom means it's not for going far out!
Lovely to see the whole family on this nice trip hope you enjoyed the holiday!
Didn't know you were of Gunn lineage. We could be cousins, lol! Great video with the family. Thanks again Scott

another cool video. what a great channel
Saw Przewalski's horse for the first time IRL at the National Zoo in DC a few weeks back. I think the Columbus Zoo has them at their drive-thru annex
Love Scotland...such a beautiful country!

Nice to see you all out exploring together, Scott. Definitely think you were visible in one of the carriages on that train picture at Dornoch Castle!
Great family holiday!
Blair a man of few words. Nothing wrong with that.

Lovely video, interesting places. Greetings from Sweden!
Great to see you enjoying yourself with your family Scott, in such a lovely part of the world too, I love the area round Dornoch. Mind you, to my shame I’ve never been to the falls of Shin, definitely next time!
up my neck of the woods...dornoch cathedral and madonna connection..susan brown presiding...used to frequent my restaurant before promotion!
Great video. It looks like you all had a good time and your accommodation looked really modern and functional. Well done.
I like the architecture of the area. I must read up on the castle as it looks like a French Chateaux.
Lovely part of the world
Really enjoyable, thanks for bringing us along on your family trip, I live in denmark but am from the highlands so it was so nice to see all the local haunts.
