My dad has been trying to go to a concert and hear this song for like 15 years. you should've seen the look on his face when they started playing this. priceless reaction.
Random Stuff I’m sure it’s a very satisfying moment. I can’t imagine what it’d be like if my parents took me to a concert and they played one, mop, sanitarium and blackened
They play this song at every gig, lol
@@Leo_rebena_drummer Didn't play it in Twickenham :(
@@Leo_rebena_drummer,maybe the more recent gigs but not the ones he has been to.
@@Leo_rebena_drummer I've seen them 8 times and they only played it at about 4 of them. So it's a 50/50 chance.
"Give him time, it makes him well,
he is getting better, can't you tell?"
Get well, James.. 🤟
it's "keep him tied"
Brooooo🤘 this hit me hard, gave this line a whole new meaning! Get well James!
Those lyrics actually talk about how bad people with mental health problems were treated in madhouses, lol
@lavender fields what do you mean madhouses never existed? I dont speak english but i think thats the correct word
@@xusta111 so they really were mental? I thought they were governmental experiments, saying they are mental, but actually geniuses.
I was meant to be going to sleep at 1am, it’s now 3:10am in the morning & I’m binge watching Live Metallica songs. Nothing better!
3:18 here 😆
2:50 here 😂
9:44 p.m. here
this is right before the rain got mental
camilarsz The rain got metal before or after it got mental?
It got metal not mental
Man, what a hell of a song. Imagine it raining near the middle of the song, just pour. Fucking sick man
True that
Fucking sick it is ☠️🤘🤟
’Tallica family is with you James \m/!!!!!!
@Arthur Kitchen leave James alone! Get me drunk! :)
@Arthur Kitchen for god sake Arthur man
Can’t wait to see you in México 2020 and get funk up James!!
UUHH YEAAHH🤘
@Arthur Kitchen you just won asshole of the day with that comment.
If only there was a fountain of youth we could hear this music live for centuries
Metallica is that fountain
It's gonna be played for years and years as Beethoven and Bach are now. The Beatles, Pink Floyd and definitely Metallica will all be thought of in the same way.
I was there. Hearing my favourite Metallica song live. Best moment of my life.
Must be nice to get a non-basic setlist.
@@_darkmage_1695 We actually got one of the more "normal" setlists from this tour annoyingly.
ekmad 2017 Worldwired US stadium tour. Look those up.
Flew from the US just for this show and it was worth every penny spent.
Ride on🤘
Man, Kirk is on point these days. His solo's are so clean.
The older solos yes, he still stumbles on some of the solos from Hardwired, especially Here Comes Revenge.
@@kevah94 fair, unforgiven 3 is probably one of my new favs almost solely because of Kirk.
are we seeing the same video bro? i cant find a good kirk solo this days :/
Juan Contreras Hating on something/someone because a lot of people like it/them does not make you cool
i was literally about to say the compleat opposite. i thought he played the solo pretty badly here and it almost sounds like he is skipping a bunch of notes
Kirk on Gary Moore's Les Paul, what a sweet thing!
Cost him $2.000000 apparently! worth every cent. 😎🤘
Being using it a lot on this tour. Absolute beauty of a guitar and love the tone he gets from it
@@MrIanjbillib $2,000000 well spent
how the fuck you guys commenting 3 months ago when this was published today?
@@chickennuggets445 same thing happened few videos back
Lars is so famous that he can literally play whatever he wants whenever he wants at whatever speed. That’s power.
Lol. Sometimes I feel sorry for Hetfield. He always gives his best consistently and Lars shits all over it.
@@crusaderofunderdogs8005 8ke4art
Took my son to this show for his first 'tallica experience. I asked him what he wanted for Christmas and he told me he wanted a ticket to their next show in the UK.
#Family
Great parenting! Bringing him up to have great tastes! 😀👊🤘
“One” and “Sanitariums” opening riffs give me instant chills every time. Maybe cuz they’re 2 of the most kick ass songs of all time imo🤷🏻♂️🤘🏼
Theyre EXTREMELY similar to play, lots of same notes
Hollow by Pantera 😢
Seriously this could be their best song. The lyrics are perfect. This song still speaks to me 35 years later
I absolutely loved the show. The crowd was insane.
Just when James is sounding great again, he has to go to rehab 😔. Get well Papa Het.
I'm a simple man. I see Sanitarium live i click it...
Thats not very simple
I've been a Metallihead since '86, nothing compares to this...
James GET WELL SOON my man WE BELIEVE IN YOU!
I swear Master of Puppets is the Metallica album with no bad songs in it… that’s one of the reasons why this is my all-time favorite Metallica album.🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Get better James
Rob’s bass tone sounds f’n amazing here !! These guys killed it 🤘
Why this one wasn’t in my notifications I don’t know. Good job I’m a stalker and check the channel regularly
I'm exclusive member, nice 😁
It was a Metclub exclusive video because I noticed a lot of private videos were uploaded
I just got the notification three months after ....
@@rejeancomeau77 youtube basically
@@rejeancomeau77 You are not a fifth member..
I was there and it was fuking amazing
Get well James, We are all humans and make mistakes. Been a fan for 20 years, not gonna quit now.
Great as always but I miss the intro.
I kinda like the beginning with the bass 👍
I love you metallica
I’d do anything for a full concert of this show it was absolute perfection
I'm mesmerized by James's vocals here. Kirk is flawless too.
*S&M² was AMAZING*
I wish they played Sanitarium at S&M²
What about orion and ronnie?
Everything MetallicA touches is gold. And we shouldn't dabble in "whatifs", we should be thankful that we got to experience it.
But since we're takking fantasies, here is what would've been my dream setlist:
Suicide & Redemption
Halo On Fire
Don't Tread On Me
The Unnamed Feeling
The Unforgiven
The House That Jack Built
Carpe Diem
The Unforgiven II
Am I Savage?
Low Man's Lyrics
To Live Is To Die
The God That Failed
Eye Of The Beholder
My Friend Of Misery
Escape
Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
Fixxxer
Dream No More
The Unforgiven III
Fade To Black
Fight Fire With Fire
Orion
Sound was really good in the theatre
@@8tonystark8 Boss setlist.
Get well soon James... I know you dream the same thing every night but.. dont worry.. there 's a freedom in your sight
@Arthur Kitchen that's just a stupid comment, rehab helped him before, it will help him again!
He will get there again
The "leave me be!" In this version is so cool
Holy fuck...... One of the best performances
Rob's bass and Kirk's guitar sounds so good!
Really cool! Get will soon James! We trast you!
Holy shit, this sounded great!!!!!!!!!
I can't get over just how solid these live mixes have been lately, video and audio both. Superb.
my favorite song
What always surprises me is the fact that these guys play fast and heavy songs every night and always deliver an excellent show, when they came to my town it was magic, it seems like when they get older they’re motivated to play harder and faster!
One of the best songs ever written by Metallica
Damn we need The Unforgiven 3 S&M 2 Version. Noooowwwww!
I am a machine that never stops
I was there. Favourite band, favourite song
They still sound pretty damn good.
I forgot just how good this sounded live! Was such a great concert.... despite the pissing down rain!!!
We ALL need a DVD/BLU-RAY footage from this tour! \m/
Loving Greenie! Thanks for playing it Kirk!!! NEVER STOP!
Happy birthday, Metallica!!!
Such a beautiful song and such a wonderful performance
Kirk nailed that intro.
Woow James , when I senior, I want to be like you!
Thank you for teaching what it is, real music! I'll never forget it!
at 1990 when i was 8 yo, my dad gave me a master of puppets album and introducing metallica to me, at 2020 he do it again to my son and now he 8 yo..
MOP is one of those rare albums with no bad songs but one could argue RTL was the same
Escape is pretty bad
I like escape but it’s just one of those songs where it’s like “not bad but it’s not our style”...kinda like mama said....good country song but not Metallica’s style.
Oravbro Escape was pretty great but it’s definitely the weakest on that album.
To me Escape isn’t bad, it’s just not memorable like the rest of RtL
Matt_Money It’s also the most out of place.
Absolutely amazing!! What a performance!! That vocal... Perfect, that solo is great! A True Metallica!!!
That sweet les Paul sound ❤
I have no words!!! 🤘🤘
I was there.this is one of my faves and to hear and see this live was awesome.
The Bass of Robert's is amazing......
Completely in love with this band
Best band on the fucking planet! Thank you Metallica I love you so much!!!.......
James. And. Kirk. Amazing
Love it, one of my favorite songs ever
Been a long time fan since lightning came out. Once I saw them at the Country club in Reseda as a surprise guest for metal church, to try out Jason before going on tour. KNAC announced they were going to be there, and blew the surprise. Those were the good ol days🤘🏼
Such a great night, glad I was there for my first 'Tallica show hopefully many more to come
I went to this concert and it was one of the best days of my life ! Get well soon James 🤘🏼👊🏼
WELCOME HOME! Love you metallica
Was there, this was amazing
This is just AMAZING
Kirk in his peak with those intros.
AMAZINGLY GOOD!!! Kirk was amazing
Coolest grandparents ever to exist 🎸
Ahah)
This is a night that I will remember for the rest of my life. I cannot describe the atmosphere they create when they perform.
So good memories it this song !!
Thank you for making my Metallica Monday even better, my Angels 😇🔥💜💜💜💜🔥😇
Excellent live performance of my favourite song of all time 🤘
Kirk played amazing!
Was at this show
Such an epic show
Seen some killer shows in my time
Motley crues final tour
Iron maiden
Def leppard
Metallica twice that's only to name a few
I can say the energy at this show put all the rest to shame
Phillip Bevington I met the lead singer for Iron Maiden. I had just graduated from Officer Basic Course for Air Defense in El Paso Texas in 1987. I walked in the Marriott hotel where he was standing. I was in my full military dress blues. I saw a limousine so I said “ you in a band”, “yes”, “what’s the name of the band”, Iron Maiden”, “I’ve heard of that”. “You guys in the states for long?” He said yeah, big tour. We then talked about the desert and he was super cool. Very relaxed dude. Then a tall band member walked in the hotel and had his chest puffed out. He was walking straight and almost couldn’t walk, maybe drunk or high. Finally a bunch of girls arrived and they ran down the hallway, pausing to make sure the girls could keep up. Must be an interesting life, the tour.
I think Ozzy Osbourne must participate!
For some reason Metallica shows have always been really special. They have so much energy and really seem to enjoy these live shows alot.
I was fortunate enough to go to Slayer's last show, really emotional atmosphere, they played amazing
@@fedora997 I bet. 🥲
That headshot of hetfield gives chills
That Les Paul sounds so damn good 🤤
Listen Hetfield...you will win!
Best night of my life🤘🏽 metallica forever🖤
My favourite song!!!!🤘🤘
I LOVE Metallica
Love the way the band takes over
I was here #MetInManchester *2019*
I hope they stream this #MetallicaMondays Showin' my fight over a drumstick
"You owe me one Lars" ; )
Best night of my life 🤘🏼
Lovin it!
Omg still shivers!!!
Incredibly great song by the mighty Metallica. Kirk's guitar work, awesome.🤘
Bringin' out Les Paul.
¡Greenie Sounds Awesome, lots of history in that Les Paul, and it's great that it still on the road! Thanks Kirk! And in this song sounds awesome!
Same I was there and it was great 🤘🏻🤘🏻
that 2 million Gary Moore's guitar...great that kirk gave life to it again!!
WE ARE HERE
JAMES STAY STRONG..........♡
Already got my ticket to see you guys live here in Porto Alegre in april, 2020.
Cannot wait!!
It's gonna be a sad day when they won't be able to perform. Gotta appreciate their performances especially at this age, to be so on point and play at such a high level at their age is godlike. Hopefully I get to see them
its already impressive they are still able to perform at the level they are, i think they are gonna last till their 70s, when either hetfield or ulrich are not able to perform
man they all look great hell yeah! 🤘
Another epic. Definitely underrated
How much snare would you like, Lars?
Lars: Yes.
metallica forever
Amazing !
Best song ever
