Say what you will about Lars but he always looks like he’s having a blast behind his drums, watching him have fun is a part of the Metallica experience
Clearly you have no idea about drumming...Lars is making a horrible job and ruining this classic song by doing these non-sense drum fills. At this point he needs to decide to either being a business man or a true Metallica drummer.
BLUEKNlFE if you played the same song for 30 years straight you’d get bored playing it the same way over and over. It’s not a big deal

Totally agree with this! Was a bit put off from them after some of their more recent work and live performances I have seen on YT, but went to see them at the Manchester show and was blown away, epic.. 🤘🏻 Watching these recent live performances, hardwired.. That's the Metallica I love
@@SeptemberSeventeenth Since 2000, theyve had nu and modern metal influences on their music, especially after Jason left, I stopped listening to them after the Mission Impossible soundtrack and got interested again a year before Death Magnetic, watching some jams and feeling the old vibe coming back in. Except, the swearing and "scary monster" image was gone and is still gone. But the aggression has come back and they sound great.
Creeping Death was the only song James said, "I shall pass, motherfucker" and he just stopped that too recently. I wont count Hardwired, because "fucked" is part of the lyrics and not live improvisation or any part of speech between songs. It feels incomplete, especially without Jason.

My first Metallica record was the Whiplash 12"/Ep import w/Seek And Destroy live & Phantom Lord live on Side B because at the time it was $6 while Kill Em' All and Ride The Lightning were each $10. This was back in 1985 when I was a 12 year old Metalhead. That EP blew me away. How fast Whiplash was, how heavy Seek & Destroy and Phantom Lord were live. So next year when Puppets came out, my mission was to see Metallica live. Luck would have it that they were coming down to San Diego opening for Ozzy, which I was already planning on going to see with my uncle and my friend. It was epic. I didn't care for the Black Lp but life went on. IT'S SO GREAT TO HAVE THEM BACK! There newer stuff and the addition of Rob really made them steer into a new direction while being able to recapture the live magic. This song reminds me of why they were my favorite band in 86 in the first place. Sanitarium, Welcome Home!
