Just got one of these in today. Paid $66 for the esc the motor and program tool off eBay. Getting ready to see how it is soon.

I have recently installed one of these and love it! The only strange thing is that I'm running 2s with it have the bec on 7.4 and I noticed on my remote that shows voltage when it gets down to around 7.3 volts it starts cutting esc no matter what I set low voltage cut off at on or off. Thinking this system needs 3s is issue. Not positive on that but yeah weird.

Looking at this setup for my sherpa where I need room. I van just squeeze a 540 brushed motor do you think this would fit? Also wondering how this has held up? Ive read some saying they run very hot? Thanks for the fantastic video

My truck is pretty light and I haven't had any heat issues. No complaints from me. I think there are some specs on that motor on AliExpress (Almost positive I've seen them, just not 100% where) I'd measure it for you but I'm not sure where the truck is at the moment

@@drivetowrench2709 no problem I figured out, will definitely fit, I actually just put my order in. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment back. My rigs not heavy. Will be getting a 3532 as well for later. I think my rig is around 6lbs maybe less. Hopefully it works out. Thanks again

Very minimal run time mine is getting ridiculously hot on slow crawl technical areas on my coarse. Even at very low conservative gearing mine managed to over heat and melt the clear heat shrink completely off. So far I definitely would not recommend this system from my personal experience.

That's weird, mine doesn't heat up much at all. I would check the settings against the screen shots of the defaults

@drivetowrench2709 yah I have to borrow a family member laptop and check the settings again. I thought I had it setup properly. I don't think my chrome book will work for programming 🤔. I used my brother's old PC to program it maybe I set something wrong

Bro does it come with rhino firmeware?

I don't know. They both look like stock AM32 as far as the GUI (check out the project to see the GUI you get with the code). I couldn't find a published project specifically for either ESC but I didn't look that hard. Hopefully they embrace in to the notion of community developement if they sell enough of these things

Rhino has a different ui but this uses AM32 open-source firmware. Basically the exact same programming as Holms Hobbies crawlmaster v3 and anything else that uses Am32

No it doesn't. I bricked mine after flashing Rhino's 80A ESC firmware on it thinking that it is the same firmware seeing that it is a clone of the Rhino. But it is also AM32 so I guess the parameters are the similar. I am still on the hunt for the firmware of this ESC so I revive mine.

@@napstersgear At minimum, always make sure the processor is the same before you flash the firmware and if you can't ID the processor, I would never recommend flashing. The screenshots I've seen show the exact same version number of BL32 for the Rhino which (to me) means no reason to flash it unless you change the code in some way for better performance. When I same the same version, that does not mean the processor on this ESC isn't a different version or a different processor entirely. When you build firmware you specify the processor and potentially things like pin assignments and if you get anything wrong the board will not function or become bricked or go up in smoke. It's important to make sure you figure out the details if you're going to flash a board. Hope this helps.
