Why do you think this captain stuffed the HCB? 😳🌊
Cause he is an inexperienced idiot!! Lol I don't understand that when you have big waves you need to keep the bow up its not rocket science!! Idling is not gonna cut it
because he is not an operator. he’s an owner!
The boat handled it pretty darn well though - some boats would be wallowing around after that a lot more.
Trim and power
Because people are dumb and dont have common sense or anything to keep them from doing stupid crap like that...
As a former rescue diver and long time boater , it boggles my mind how few people wear PFDs while crossing that inlet .
I wear mine every time I go out to sea, its the first thing I do when I get on the boat, you can slip and crack your head just tying off, at least the pfd will keep you from drowning.
I feel the same. It's crazy. I've seen a number of these videos where kids are in the bow of the boat, being flung around like ragdoll's, with no PFD's. It's not only mine boggling but, irresponsible. In my opinion anyway.
@@EnabledShooter yep, I see a lot of leisure boaters in the Stockholm area without them, they look at me like I'm the crazy one but I don't care, accidents are never planned. I'm a qualified skipper and I was taught to always wear one.
@@advantagemarine7305 The thing I find most interesting is that, lifevests these days aren't as big and cumbersome as they were when I was a kid. There are a lot of choices, when it comes to lifevests, that are pretty small and fairly comfortable. It would only take one of those waves for someone to hit their head and go overboard while unconscious. I've seen many of these videos where people are being thrown up and down in the bow of the boat. I cringe every time I see it.
@@EnabledShooter The lady hit her face against the center console at .25 and easily could have gone overboard unconscious.
Let the second captain drive first would’ve been a good start. 😂
Thinking outside that darned box, and yer comment gets pinned!! Good job!
That f'ing idiot should tell the passengers how to hold on so they are braced for the waves. Stupid people don't think about the passengers. Ruined the whole day and that lady has to get checked out. Stupid guy didn't bother telling her sitting on the edge isn't going to help.
Ya, dude that took over knows how to captain a boat, agreed he should have been operating the entire time
She shouldn’t have been standing there to begin with while they were crossing that rough patch regardless of the captain
My favorite was the Chris Craft 2nd from last boat. Just a beautiful boat, love Chris-Craft boats.
👍🏼🎯
Remember when it’s rough it’s important to keep all the passengers up front. Also trim the engines so the bow is as low in the water as possible. The will help maximise the jacuzzi effect.
You need to trim the motor out enough to lift the bow (nose) up much higher than normal cruising; keep your passengers towards the stern (back) to help keep the nose up above the crest of the incoming waves; this prevents the nose from plunging into the standing waves and swamping the boat.
And it’ll help with the submarine effect too!
Exactly! I've learned that too and some others from watching. Like making sure you have a bowrider boat and everyone up the front has their phones, wallets and handbags with them. And also that they can fit more people at the front if they don't wear lifejackets that just take up space. And just keep sending it regardless of people flying around, getting back injuries or being 3 feet underwater.
Ah, satire.
If you dont like the passengers put them in the front with their cell phones.
Memo to self: Never buy a used boat from this part of town
It’s nice seeing a Chris Craft. Don’t seem to see many of those. I love the styling.
They're around somewhat.
@@WavyBoats aren't they the same thing?
@Wavy Boats
Used to see tons of them on the Trent-Severn Waterway back in the late seventies/early eighties... those were the days! Love your videos, man!
I dont like the design on these new boats, many are now CC with a slighly down-swept bows. What ever happen to the old school design, enclosed cockpit with an up-swept bow with large railings. Also, older boats are heavier, use more wood and tripple fiberglass. Now it seems like its all lightweight materials
It handled the waves better than any other boat.
I feel bad for that baby blue quad. The boat is like, “wtf let’s GO”
I felt bad for that boat suffering the indignity of that color!
But that's me...
Bro has 4 outboards for a reason I’d use them to their potential.
Totally agree!! Guy had no clue how to captain that type of boat
@@carltrano1325 You are correct, Carl, the "skipper" of that boat may have been smart enough to purchase the boat, but that is apparently where smart comes to a halt.
The lack of trim control and knowing when to use the throttle is mind boggling in these videos.
That HCB is absolutely mint. Chris craft was nice too 👍
People dont relize that you literally have to hang on for dear life when going through these inlets on rough days, even on calm days it can be an adventure. Its not a picnic
Or back off the throttle and quarter the waves. I crossed the pacific on a 27 foot sailboat, survived 30 foot seas and 50 knot winds... Power boaters just lack brains.. that why they don't sail
u couldnt be more wrong , its how u drive the boat ,most of these idiots dont have there motor trimmed and are going to slow
I would have 2 life vests on if my cap had a manbun🤣🤣😂😂
🤣
Man and bun are two words that should only refer to bread.
What’s the matter Ron, you lose your hair?
@@tylerbates8198 Hah, probably!
What a shitty choice of boat too, nothing to lean or hold onto lol that girl was terrified for good reason.
Should have been looking forward to see the waves coming and be ready for it. The pair of guys should have told her that. Keep your head up.
Most of the ladies (and a few of the guys) looked like they wished they'd have rather gone to the beach instead.
if i see white caps on the horizon im headed back in
I wonder how many of these people waving to the camera have a moment of clarity about 10 seconds later where they think "Oh, so THAT'S why that guy was filming us!" as their captain stuffs the bow into a crashing wave and converts their $100k investment into a mobile bath tub.
"Investment" is not a good word to use when describing a boat. "Liability" or "toy" would be more appropriate.
@@kevinvermeer9011 or tax write off
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
$100,000?? Multiply that a few more
@@kevinvermeer9011 "investment" doesn't have to mean a return in cash...a boat is an investment in fun and entertainment.
Anyone else notice the fountain at 5:55 with the dive door open? Water just coming in with every wave.
The captain never had a clue did he. lolol
Thats what that was. I noticed the water. Was trying to figure out where it was coming from, then saw your comment. Makes sense now.
Yup that’s a good way of sinking a boat
Sure did
We call them Tuna doors in texas.
i know he messed up, but that blue hcb was beautiful. gotta trim and give it some gas my guy
I find the lack of pfd's scary
Wow I'm surprised how well that Four Winns handled it. Kudos.
Honestly, just sit in the back. The engine is back there, the front will bounce like crazy, the back is not doing so much. hold on tight, keep your eyes forward to anticipate. And if you wear a life jacket through bars (I use paddling ones that are a lot more flattering) you get tons of impact protection. Or sit on bench seat next to captain - they rarely go flying.
I say there's a time to out and a time stay out of the ocean I see a lot of white caps that wouldn't be a nice ride either!!
These videos are oddly satisfying
A wise man once said, “it is better to be on the shore , wishing you were on a boat , than to be in the boat wishing you were on shore!”
Exactly like the second Captain did....throttle,nose high..prop in the water. Well done sir.
“Can we please turn around? I’ve broken the face part of my face.”
and that is the way to be sure she won't want to go out with you again on a boat. idiots
Captain HCB was just adding ballast water. He excelled.
Yes, once he got enough water in the stern the bow would naturally come up! Dude is a genius.
Dude with the 🇹🇹 flag knows how to handle his ride
Still no life jackets.
Another fine video from Wavy Boats! I always look forward to you posting new videos since I find that your quality and skill level far exceed all of the others. I just call it as I see it from "The Old Man in a Nursing Home in Dayton, Ohio". Keep up the good work young man!
Thanks for the kind words Jim. Your continued support is very appreciated around here! 👍
@@WavyBoats h
HCB curved down bow: Brilliant!
Most of these modern 35+ ft open boats with massive horsepower show that trend in design. I don't get it at all! MORE free-board in FRONT, not less!! Flare is where it's at for salt water!
4:30 seems like a situation that would warrant some life preservers
The woman could've avoided eating the center console by either sitting in the back of the boat, or she could've stood, facing forward, where she was. You don't sit sideways like that unless you want to take a tumble like she did. Ultimately it's the driver's fault for not looking out for the safety of everyone on board.
I agree about the captain taking responsibility.
facing forward, legs bent to absorb the hit, while holding on with both hands..like ruff sex.
@@812MSS LMAO should have left her at home. Now the boys didn't get to go fish.

I believe it was coming down so hard on her butt is what did her in. She couldn’t continue stand because of the pain.
I enjoy all those video thanks a lot for coming up with this type of idea I can spend hour watching with no problem 😉
7:30....Not one, but TWO 2.5L Mercs!!!!
There is some serious Nostalgia on the back of that boat! I know people who pay some serious coin for one of those!!!
Yes!!
When a day of boating ends with a trip to the dentist.
End?! Lol they was just beginning 😂🤣
Great camera work, crystal clear resolution. Great content. All around great video. Thanks. Jim Hammond
Chad & Brad in the Whaler CRUSHED It
thank you for the Boca Inlet coverage!
funny as it sounds when i go out in rough weather i wear a mouth guard
Actually, not a bad idea...
Good tip
Man bun put his crew in a compromising position! 😂
i thought "man bun" was going extinct
My friends here in Australia love this channel, we honestly can’t believe it actually happens ,it’s pure madness , WTF children with no life jackets? Is there no regulations at all?
Regulations? It is common-sense, surely?! It should be a habit.
@RAH Capital Here in the UK we are free to kill ourselves if we like. However, letting others drown who may not be aware of the risks or of the availability of PFDs is considered really rather rude. Unfortunately, the message still doesn't seem to get through, nor does the one about using a kill-cord.
It’s Florida
Same watching from Canada, such a sh!t show, can't look away. 😂
There are regulations yes. Children are supposed to have life vests on at all times.
Zodiac style boat is perfect. Air cushions to absorb pounding. Lol
and you cant swamp it. Still going to be a rough ride though.
It amazes me that so few people if any, including kids do not have life vests on in that ridiculous inlet
I watch a lot of these videos and it seems to me many of those captains fail to prepare their passengers or at least give them a heads up they are headed into 4 to 5 foot waves. No life jackets as well. Better decisions can be made.
Very nice to see the cristcraft!👍
it was good to see that every person was wearing a life jacket
😲
Rule number one: Wear a lifejacket.
Rule number two: Sit down in the boat.
Rule number three: Trim down your engines and keep your bow up.
It's better to stand up actually, you soak the bumps better if you hold on well, and another thing if you want the bow up you'll trim up not down
Trim up
Just WOW.. that Chris Craft! 😅!
As far as the mystery boat?? Unsure but I must say it and it’s captain did a pretty damned good job in the inlet!
The guy in the HCB...plenty of money, not near enough boating experience....I see it all the time..Great vids...many thanks
Lots of dollars, no cense.........
The bank owns the boat..
How can they not know to never ride in the bow, but then we wouldn’t have these cool videos ….so , carry on please 😂😂😂👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Watching these videos now, I realize it was probably a bad idea for my friends and I to take our jet skis through similar inlets back in the day...
The guy at 6:24 has his side open and water jus dumping in. Can only imagine the drag on that.
I was wondering if the woman on the back would close it. Looks like she doesn't want to be there.
Good eye.
Big up the 🇹🇹 peeps!!
Ahhh. All I needed was that Chris Craft. So beautiful and smooth. Nighty night!
Yeah, those are nice , used to see lots of them up in new england !
I swear almost every single HCB I’ve seen on this page has never used the throttles like it’s mind blowing 🤦🏼♂️
It looked closer to sinking than gracefully motoring lol
I don't even drive boats but I would figure to go slow then slam it or go alil faster as u catch the wave. Duh
Let's put our face near a hard object while getting tossed in the waves. Brilliant.
and pay attention and look forward and brace yourself accordingly with the waves.. Boat captain could have been a bit careful too..
This is Florida... Did you really expect to see smart people here ?
@@vancedpharaos7011 Never thought about it, but many Floridians support the former guy, so yeah...🤔
@@750328I What boat captain! I don't think that guy has any clue on how to handle this boat!
100% the captains fault.
It could have been avoided by the genius Skipper handing out full-face motorcycle helmets. 😂
man down!!! good job Gilligan!
Apparently the $1.5m that HCB probably charged for that boat didn't include instructions on using the trim (or the throttles).
Mystery boat did pretty good against the chop, on the the down slop he angled it just enough to not plow into the next wave, he worked it well with limited size boat
I had to wipe the drool off my chin looking at that Chris craft. 😁
These inlets are insane.
The back row of seats is just forward of the transom. The transom is the vessel pivot point as the bow thrust up and down. That back row of seats sees the least amount of rapid elevation change. In addition passengers are less likely to wash overboard with waves crashing over the bow. Always put your passengers sitting near the back of the boat until you reach clear water. This isn't rocket science.
Two guys and a girl go out on a zodiac, she comes back with a red snapper..
🤔😏
I love it when apparently their thinking….another mile and we got it made. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😱😱😱
Yeah the blue Fountain with the dive door open. The amount of water coming in is crazy.
Blows my mind how ppl go through that and don’t wear a life jacket..
10:03 Mystery Boat? Read the text: It's a Stingray.
Yup. I thought it was a Crownline at first, but then I saw the name on the side. I've seen that "flame" logo but couldn't remember what brand it was.
Like them bumper stickers say “get in,sit down and hang on
Whoever thought bowridder was a good idea except on a calm lake!
Tahiti could of been avoided by her staying home and getting dinner ready 😂
gold haha
Have you followed any of these 'competent' boaters at the inlet to see if they are the subjects of your videos at the ramps?
Big boy in that proline took a bath . Lol looks like they having fun though. 🤣
the blue boat with blue motors was very nice
Well, the boat hit those waves really hard. The guy on the right was standing up looking forward. If she had done the same thing it’s hard to say if she could have held herself with that strong impact. Hope she is ok. Could have lost teeth, dislocated her jaw, or both. Wish her all the best. 🥲
Looks like she took it higher up like the cheekbone.
@@acjohn6995 The boat has a good right. What else can you say?
Incident cud of been avoided by having the other guy drive the boat to begin with. He was clearly better at handling the boat
The 2-stroke v6yamahas are immortal.
That section is wild
6:31 if she just stayed in the back, they would be still out there.
My main takeaway from these videos is I’d never want a boat with an open bow - a cabin with seating above it on deck seems much more seaworthy in the rough.
No, these people just have no fucking clue how to operate a boat, they're going to slow and they don't have any idea what trim even does, they're in florida not the southern ocean.. If they knew how to trim their motors to get the bow out of the water and to go a bit faster they would be fine.
The red white and black flag is a Trinidad Flag.. that's where I live... Love watching your videos 👍👍👍🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹

Good Fishing Right There!!
IT SHOCKS ME TO SEE SO MANY PEOPLE GIVE HAUL OVER NO RESPECT AND TRY TO STAND UP, HOLDING A RAIL AND EXPECT TO NOT GET WHACKED.
Depending on where you are in the boat, standing gives you the best chance of absorbing the landing. Basically at or even with the helm. You could not pay me to sit or stand in the bow going through it though. Basically, sit in the stern, stand at the helm, and do neither in the bow.
This looks like a lot of fun. Too watch from shore! I would like to see a good jet ski driver make run through this..
Look at all the fun@!!! Injuries while riding a boat so much fun
And as far as the Hot Tub ordeal, it had four freakin engines therefore had more than enough power to plow through that without enjoying a bath in the boat..
Maybe if she'd held on with two hands and had a high instead of low grip?
Yeah boiii to the Magnum coming in
Lordy Haulover firing 🔥on all 8 today
I have never understood one thing:
WHY....WHY do they still go out when they see the waves like that🤔🤔🤔
Seems like the inlet is the worst part of the ride, imagine they are thinking if can just get through this...
@@bradcameron1841 I know right?
I mean some boats are ok for this but you some small boats full of people trying to get through lol...
thats florida life for ya
You really think this is bad? These are GREEN flag beach days!!!!
But they all seem to be having a really great time 😆
It's almost like some of these boats don't have any way to control speed.
Seemingly some of them control it way too much. Unleash the beasts! This aint a no wake zone.
My crazy ass Trinidad 🇹🇹 people 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Lady in the baby blue boat looks back....."yep you've been caught"....lol.
I noticed many boats going out without any rods in their holders. So my question would be...Why oh why do so many people just go out for a joy ride with the family and try to make it through such a rough inlet, especially when you can see white caps further out. It's just too damn rough. Even the guys going out fishing, is it worth it? I used to have a 23 CC back about 15 years ago and I'd never go out of an inlet that bad with white caps further out. I love fishing but it's not worth it to be manhandled by those waves. Stay in the river and enjoy a nice somewhat smooth cruise.
Something about those white caps... the Florida man just can't resist! 🌊🚀
You would NEVER go out then!!!! This is just an average boating day! Go to a lake if you want to play with the pussies!
@@charlieodom9107 My brother and I used to go out of Port Canaveral back then, it's nowhere near as bad, but I've been in some choppy and heavy seas. Always came back in one piece.
It boggles the mind. What are they doing in their weird center console bath tubs? No life jackets, no skills but loads of money. I can see why Trump is drawn to the place...
Exactly I'm sure the family is having a great time collecting their teeth off the deck.

How in the heck can that be enjoyable going out in weather like that. I just don't understand it
It's not. It's a Florida thing.
It's not - been there, done that. All you're doing is wasting gas, beating up your boat and passengers and generally having a bad time, but some people just have to prove some type of point I guess.
Because a majority of these people are simply stupid. The best part of these vids is the noticeable lack of experience with some boaters, but hey a fun day in the sun.
