So much plot and exposition in 5 minutes. Brilliant writing. Florida, Francine, the unhappy marriage, the Hansons, pervy Mo, Ogilthorpe, Eddie Shore, Newman’s PR and spin. It’s all there.
Decades later, someone at work the other day made a Hanson Brothers reference. Us two old heads were surrounded by a few millennials and Gen Zers who had no clue because their parents didn't raise them right, but we had a little giggle between us two.

An interesting and enjoyable film that reminds the viewer of the fun of university days and sports competitions...the heroes of the film were creative and had fun...a beautiful watch
The skating in this is pretty darned good & the gameplay was pretty fitting for the era as well. Gotta tip your cap. Well filmed. Maybe only Miracle had better filming of any sport's game play action in cinema. THAT was done darned near perfect.
Well I mean the Hanson’s (& 1 Carlson) were all pro’s, I think the majority of extras were too. I mean Bruce Boudreau played the Hyannisport Presidents in the movie. They really went the extra mile to give it that feel
Best sports movie ever as a player and fan,I wear a #16 chiefs jersey when I play shinny, alot of fans don't realize the movie was written by a women and her brother was in the film❤😅 Paul Newman was one of the best EVER!
“Ladies and gentleman, look at that!!! You can’t see that, I’m on radio…” 😂
“The fans are shouting kill, kill, kill….. this is hockey!”
Easily one of the best phrases in the movie that nobody remembers lol
I always crack up at the way the Hansons greet the cops when they open the door, "HI GUYS! 😃"

This is the ultimate classic hockey movie for ice hockey fans of all eras.
And even non hockey fans!
Shoresy is showing great respect to this almost half a century later.
This is a classic movie but the translated version in Québec french makes this movie absolutely epic.
Strother Martin. God, I love that guy. He was the best
He was also excellent in Hard Times, guy could act for sure.
We will not have a goddam family brawl!!
