Yes, changing razorblades often is good You can tell when it gets dull. I get a box of 100 for $5 at the hardware store; lasts a very long time.
Will that cut into your clothes
once you get the hang of it, no. (in my opinion) I found I rips holes in thing much more with a regular seam ripper. Plus seam rippers get dull quick and cost more.
