That is so interesting! I've always had seam rippers I like better than others, but never really thought why! I have the Shibaguys recent book, and have enjoyed the projects on them. One thing on serged seams, if you take the "straight" stitches out, the "looped" stitches just fall off. Have fun in New York!
I tend to use the method with the ball and ripping right down the seam because I'm impatient. It is definitely not the safest for your fabric, but one thing that helps is I rip with the seam open like a book, so there is no fabric near the pointy side to accidentally poke through Edit: haha I'm referring to how you did at 14:42 that you say you would definitely not do, but with the pointy side up so I can see it

You know, it’s a weird thing. I never wanted a tattoo, but one day I woke up and I did want one. This one particular tattoo only. I am not interested in more… maybe I will be later, but not now. I lived with the idea of these birds on my arm for so long that, now that they are there, it feels normal. My younger self would be amazed! Getting older has downsides. But on the upside, I’m feeling very comfortable in my own skin and much less worried about the judgement of others. The birds make me smile and that’s probably the best answer to your question :-).

A razor blade works well! You can also use rubber cement erasers to remove all those threads very e we quickly

most of the time, I reach for the 4-in-1 Tool from Alex Anderson because I love the BERNINA ripper that is inside it. I also like the Clover ripper.
