His voice is so light and pleasing to hear. Loved him singing Love Grows (where my Rosemary) goes, and Beach Baby, and more. Tony Burrow's is very talented. Someone should do a movie about his playing in so many various bands.

Yes this is a good song. I bought the single when it was out all those years ago but only became a massive Tony Burrows fan later on. I've Still Got My Heart Jo is my fave of his "solo" singles, but he made some absolutely great records in all his various guises. Tony, you're a star!

MAGNIFICENT PERFORMANCE OF THE ONE AND ONLY TONY BURROWS !!! - THIS SINGLE WAS RELEASED ON FRIDAY 22 - JAN. 1971, AND WAS PLAYED QUITE SOME FEW TIMES FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS WITHOUT EVEN ENTERING THE UK CHARTS FOR SOME PECULIAR REASON !? - IN MY OPINION THE HUMMING SONG IS NOT JUST CHARMING IN ITS OWN WAY - BUT A FABULOUS HUMMING SONG !!
Probably kept out due to BBC sourgrapes big honcho's who didn't like seeing Tony fronting up so many different bands on telly. Hit parade. A victim of his own success. But Tony will always be my favourite singer. Such a clean living happily married guy. Best songs from the best era of British pop. Nothing to compare on today's music scene.
I had never heard of this song before until I found it looking up Edison Lighthouse and Tony Burrows. I am now loving this song and in love with it. It is so pretty! Had n idea Smokey did it. Would love to hear his version. Would also love to hear more Tonny Burrows stuff. I noticed a pic on the video of him that has Original Cast on it and it's got me wondering if he was in the Original Cast group who did "One Tin Soldier". Thanks for posting this...
Well, it took 11 years to get your answer, but no, Tony was not in the group that did "One Tin Soldier". I believe they spelled their name The Original Caste and were Canadian.
Smokey Robinson did record a song with the same song title as this Cheryl, but it ISN'T the same song ... it's totally different .
this song seems. to. mean something to him it should have been a hit along with other solo songs
That's a good one. My hubby has it on an Edison Lighthouse cd. It's a good one but sadly, out of print now from what I understand...
