- NATO has sent 700 soldiers, peacekeepers, to Kosovo in the wake of the disturbances near the border with Serbia. This follows violent scenes where Serbs faced off with police. NATO peacekeepers were injured - caught in the middle of the fight. Jens Stoltenberg, announcing the dispatch of reinforcements, said the attacks on NATO soldiers must stop.

In 2020 the opposition boycotted the rigged election too and Vucic was reelected and holds now dictatorial power. In 1945, the opposition boycotted the parliamentary election and the communist party has ruled for the next 40 years. Not participation in elections has long lasting consequences. What would make this municipal election different?

What the Anglo-American Alliance (NATO/KFOR) is trying to do there is to create another Maidan -- not in Kosovska Mitrovica -- but in Belgrade where there are daily demonstrations. The West would like to see Vucic out of office and replaced with a "comedian", the likes of Ukraine's Zelensky! No wonder Putin suspended Russia's participation in the Strategic Offensive Arms Treaty: The Anglo-American Alliance wanted to inflict a strategic defeat and tried to get Russian nuclear facilities, though it didn't work out. Now the Anglo-Americans are targetting Kosovo, the heart of Serbia, where they already have their military hardware in place to distabilize the Balkans, if not well beyond?

@@matthewogorman7291 Serbian troops were indeed persecuting albanians in Kosovo during war (serbian here), but Albanian guerilla has also persecuted ethnic serbs (and even albanians who didnt support them) during the same war. There was also the so called march unrest in 2004, where albanians gathered around Kosovo and expelled thousands of peaceful serbian civilians from Kosovo despite KFOR (NATO) presence. So you see, ethnic conflict between serbs and albanians is very old and both sides have committed atrcocities against each other in various moments. Albanians for example joined Hitler in WW2 and Kosovo was incorporated into Albania by fascist Italy. Needles to say that hundreds of thousands of serbs were expelled from Kosovo during occupation. Kosovos independence is therefore not the solution and completely baseless. Its also illegal because no state can achieve statehood out of thin air, that is without approval of parent state. Kosovo doesnt have the approval of Serbia.

The hostilities started when Albanian terrorists started killing serbian police officers, government employees and all Albanians that worked for the government. Serbia didn't just randomly persecute peaceful citizens of Albanian descent. If anything our response was a lot less violent because of the international pressure and fear of bombing. Any other sovereign country would wipe them out in 2 weeks.
Because Serbia was conducting a systematic ethnic cleansing of Albanians form home to home, as Nazis did with Jews in WWII. Nothing alike Ukraine did against people in Doneck, Luhansk anc Crimea before their secession from Ukraine. The vast majority of Kosovars are not Serbs. The majority of people in Doneck and Luhansk were Ukrainians. Kosovo had a legal status in Yugoslavia and Serbia, as an autonomous province. Luhansk and Doneck did not have any such.

Aidens Analysis was spot on and very detailed, I would even say that he was more informed about the situation in Kosovo and Serbia than most analysts located in these states.
French being pro serb is no surprise, they colluded in the genocide in Bosnia too. Nonetheless, Prishtina simply does not take the 50k serbs seriously or a reason to stop the entire electoral system and set precedents in their legal framework. Again, serbs constantly make troubles and at some point others start ignoring them. I see nothing wrong here.
They are very obviously not being ignored since this is being reported in international media and the problem isnt at all resolved if you just ignore it.

Factual evidence is there was meetings between the 2 parties mediated by the European Union including the US representatives. .
And THEY are even saying what the Kosovo authorities did was against the agreements they put into place. .
This notion of the Kosovo authorities doing what they like doesn't apply when they have a sizeable minority in the North, that refuse there rule. .
Because the Serbia can simply declare war if anybody uses force against the Serbs in the North, steamroll the Kosovo Albanian presence and then talk about peace pen to paper, something NATO and the EU have no choice but to sign.
NATO is not obligated to defend them, Kosovo is not apart of the EU or NATO.
Hence why the EU, NATO, KFOR are condemning the Albanian side for provocation. .
Because the Serbs are not travelling to Pristina or other places to the South rebelling against the State. . There is no visual or factual evidence of them doing soo!

The conflict in Kosovo began between Serbian Police and armed Albanian rebels. . Yugoslav military crossed over afterwards naturally.
Only difference is that the Albanian side were organised and armed with long barrel weapons, grenades, hand propelled rocket launches etc.

They don't pay taxes in Kosova. They don't want to participate in the political life in Kosova. it should be noted that the Albanian lands were torn up by the great powers after the declaration of independence of Albania, the great Albania that extended to Belgrade and in the south to Janinjë, the western powers did not accept that we had such a large territory, the Albanians still live in all these countries, and we simply want to unite the territories again, we hope that Kosovo will unite with Albania very soon

Serbia has shown last weekend that they are not fit for being a viable member of the EU regardless what Serb appeaser Jacques Rupnik is saying. Maybe he is another one of the long list of European politicians and thinkers who are on Putler's payroll. It pains me listening to him defending the violent terrorists and neo-nazis. He just sounds like he was also part of the peace negotiations with Germany after the 2014 invasion of Ukraine. Applying his logic the Vojvodina province should be returned to Hungary and the Sudetenland to Germany. What were all those thinking when they approved Kosovo's independence with ethnic Serbs remaining in the region. Some people have no understanding of the history of Serbia who have shown throughout their violent history that they can't live in peace even amongst themselves.

Kosovo has signed Brussels Agreement. It is obligated to give autonomy to the Serbs. However the best solution is serb-majority regions of Kosovo to remain a part of Serbia. This is the will of people in north Kosovo.

If you are absent from elections you loose the possibility to elect your candidates. You are pursuing a rebel position, a bit like Serb did in Croatia in 1990.. If Kosovo has signed an agreement that foresees the constitution of union of Serb municipalities, it should provide it. If it is contrary to the Kosovo constitution, it should try to change its constitution in that part. It seems that Serbia is looking for a cassus belli, and is letting local Serbs provoke on purpose.

there is a simmilar municipality in bosnia and hercegovina, here the serbs are discriminating even children in the first grade, not following constitutions, not obbeying court orders, just to name a few
