Good Morning, UA-cam! Follow along as Steve guides you through 3 easy ways to clean your Stainless Steel Cookware. As always, let us know if you have any questions in the comments below!
I received a set of Made-In pans for Christmas. I wasn't pleased at first because they lacked the non-stick coating I am accustomed to. Your demos on this channel are very helpful. Thank you.
Man I love that sink. I'm getting ready to redo my kitchen and that sink will be part of it. I have problems with cookie sheet and muffin pans. I'll try this bar keepers cleaner to clean my stainless steel pans. I love stainless pans.
Bar Keepers friend is my best friend! Pork Chops always leave a white ghost stain behind and it’s the only meat I can’t clean off with water and washing liquid. Put some Bar Keepers friend on the pan, massage in with a sponge, leave it alone for two minutes, then clean with the same sponge to apply barkeepers friend under a warm running tap and job done. Full factory reset and the pan looks beautiful again.
Thank you for the very informative video!! I was ready to toss my stainless steel frypan before I watched this. Went and bought some Bar Keepers Friend today and I am amazed at how well it cleans. I now have a pan that looks brand new. Again thanks!!
Thank you! You're awesome! 🤩 First time with a stainless steel pan of my own, didn't have bar keepers... so I used baking soda and vinegar. Wow! Worked great. Easy and fast! Looks good as new! You know your stuff, much appreciated. 👏🏼 ❤
I know how to clean stainless steal, but here I am watching a 9 min video all the way through. It's 100% Steve's delivery. He does a great job of talking like a normal person you'd hang with.
Love it! I've been using nothing but stainless steel since 1963. I had a stainless steel cookware dinner party. I was so impressed I continued to have them throughout the years and I bought my set on the 1st dinner party I hosted. I clean them exactly as you do and that Bar Keepers Friend is phenomenal. Once in awhile I've been known to forget beans or other Foods until they burnt the bottom of my pans blacker than the Ace of Spades. Green beans turned into little charcoal briquettes. LOL period when it gets that bad just let it soak in vinegar then after that a little elbow grease along with that Bar Keepers Friend and I guarantee that stainless steel pan will come out like brand new again.
Absolutely! You're telling the facts here. Mix a bit of water & Vinegar and boil a bit. YES!! Finally find someone who agrees with me. So help me God, no lie. One day last week I actually caught my daughter trying to throw one of my stainless steel pans in the trash. I almost croaked I asked her what the hell she was doing? She said mom there's no way this thing will ever come clean again. She's recently moved in with me. I said give me that piece of cookware and I'll show you. 30 minutes doing exactly as you do here in your video it was like brand new. But in the past years I would have done the same thing as she was doing because it was burnt on pitch-black to the bottom. LOL it's the little things that make a difference huh?
Hey I just got my first set of stainless steel and after my first time cooking with them I ended up with some light brown/ copper colored staining on the rim. I cooked eggs in tomato sauce and weirdly enough there was no staining on the bottom of the pan where most of the food was. Is there a reason that happened so I can avoid it happening in the future?
I did buy yesterday my first stainless steel skillet, and of course I made a level 3 mess. I was already having anxiety seen my skillet with spot 😢. This video save me!!! The skillet looks like I haven’t use it yet!! All new!!❤. My question will be which material has to be my utensils when I use the skillet? Like if I’m using a spatula, it should be wood or it can be plastic? I will like to know because I don’t what to leave any scratch on my skillet 😢. Thank you very much for the video and helping me, looking forward to see more of your videos. ❤
Thank you Steve. I appreciate this information. I love my new pans - going out to get some bar keepers friend. I’m that hated family member that will sleep after using my pans ♥️🇨🇦
I have found that utilizing Meyer’s clean day that has baking soda in it and then adding dawn and a little water to a mildly hot pan will clean even a pan with heavily burned places very easily. The mixture should be a little thinner than a paste. You will find it to be amazing.
wow this is actually really good ^^ I was surprised actually. I will subscribe because I need a lot of help in the kitchen and so many people give wrong advice. I'll look for how to season and cook with this too.
I just bought a set of those pans. Just soaking in water is my first go to for caked on stuff. 2nd if it’s just grease is Dawn Power r Wash. That stuff cuts grease like to other cleaner. 3rd if I get the rainbow stains inside it’s just 3 or four tablespoons of vinegar. In a previous video I watched you make a paste from vinegar and baking soda. I am confused about that one. How is mixing a base and an acid going to do anything good? Seems to me that they cancel each other out. When I get caked on stuff in the pan like after cooking bacon, I find adding some very hot water to the pan while it’s hot makes it come right off. Not sure I want to use Bar keeps on my pan though.
Hi Steve, Thank you for this great video! I have been looking at all different brands and think I am finally ready to settle on this brand of stainless steel products.
Soaking the pan in a solution of baking soda and hot water is good for removing burnt on food. The baking soda will turn the residue really soft where it can easily be wiped off. It's a good idea to use gloves or rinse off the baking soda before putting your hands in the pan.
I use wooden utensils. Steel ones should be fine, but I'm really good at scratching my pans (even though that's not that big of a deal with stainless steel pans). I dislike plastic and silicone, as those tend to get damaged quite easily and bits end up in my food.
For most stuck on things (like egg) I just add cold water and let it soak. After one or two hours every stuck bit comes loose. I can use a dish washing brush to wipe it off. For dark stains I have to work a bit harder or longer, but it does work. Hope this helps. Thanks for the video.
Hey Made In, I just got new stainless steel pans from you guys and cleaned one of them with the second method (bar keepers friend). I now see scratches on the surface, is this normal?
I use soap and a ScotchBrite heavy duty green pad to clean my Made-In 12” stainless pan. I find this technique highly effective…..do you consider this too abrasive? I think its fine.
I have the made-in cleaner stuff, similar to bar keeps friend, but when I used it with my pans - they stayed discolored (biggest issue is on the bottom of the pan). Any recommendations? Love the video!
@Steve Barnett Thank you! I tried it again with the cleaner and I finally got it to work! I had to do it for a long time. But I noticed it started to take the made-in logo off of the bottom, which made me wonder - are these cleaners damaging to the pans over time?
Check out the pre release enabled dutch oven in the background, my name is on the list for purchase Feb1st and I've been wanting made in to make something like this for a while.
Was hoping you would do a video on this soon! Subscribed last night and look what popped up this morning! Thanks guys, excellent performance as always Steve :)

Did you watch his other video with the beard trick?
Thank you so much for this. I thought I destroyed my beautiful new 1day old pan. Back to brand new!

You are so welcome!
Woot woot! It's Steve Day yet again! Another great guide so I can clean my stainless pans and make them purdy again!
Thanks for watching, Noah! We appreciate it!
Is bar keepers friend like soft scrub?
I received a set of Made-In pans for Christmas. I wasn't pleased at first because they lacked the non-stick coating I am accustomed to. Your demos on this channel are very helpful. Thank you.

This helped so much. Vinager and baking soda weren't cutting the burnt oil. Headed to the store for Bar Keepers friend and it worked like a charm.
I'm learning so much! Please keep the videos coming, they're great!
Thanks, Jenna! Stay tuned - we've got a whole lot more coming your way.
Bar Keepers Friend is our go to cleanser and we love our Made In pans!
I'm loving that enameled dutch oven in the back.
Thank you for the very informative video!! I was ready to toss my stainless steel frypan before I watched this. Went and bought some Bar Keepers Friend today and I am amazed at how well it cleans. I now have a pan that looks brand new. Again thanks!!

Soak the eggs for a while in warm water and use an old credit card as a scraper. Not my idea - my daughter taught me that. Great vids, Sir Steve!
Great video and a beautiful kitchen. Moving back to stainless after years of non-stick junkware.
I know how to clean stainless steal, but here I am watching a 9 min video all the way through. It's 100% Steve's delivery. He does a great job of talking like a normal person you'd hang with.

@@charleyu5506 good question
Steve! You da man. Thanks for the new hot tips.

Steve is my new favorite UA-cam star.
The stainless cleaner you have does it all!
Definitely trying this method to get that burned on oil removed!
We love Steve! Keep it coming.
These are so useful! Can finally deep clean my stainless steel pans 😆
Nice vid Steve, thanks. I got on board using Made-In with their very first Facebook ad.

That was so helpfull. Gonna have to call you stainless steve from now on
Thank you Steve. I appreciate this information. I love my new pans - going out to get some bar keepers friend. I’m that hated family member that will sleep after using my pans ♥️🇨🇦
Right on!
Thanks, Steve. Really enjoying the weekly tips to keep upping my cookware game.
Nice video. Thanks for the tips. Just got my 2qt saucier. They are replacing my older pots.
Steve does it againnnn!
Chip! Good to see you back, dear friend!
I love Steve and these videos!
THANK YOU STEVE👍
Great presentation!
Fill pan with water. Bring it to a boil. Time of boil depends on the soil level. Works every time and no need to waste money on cleaner.

Love your charisma!
Very helpful, particularly the boiling technique. Bar Keeper's Friend is indeed great stuff.
Dude. I have the hardest time cleaning my stainless steel pans. Thank you for this!
wow this is actually really good ^^ I was surprised actually. I will subscribe because I need a lot of help in the kitchen and so many people give wrong advice. I'll look for how to season and cook with this too.
Thanks! No need to season stainless steel. Check out our video on how to cook with stainless steel. Steve does a great job laying it out
Super helpful tips!
Hi quick question. Can I use those types of pans for like shallow frying?
Yep!

Not sure I want to use Bar keeps on my pan though.
I use Made In Stainless cleaner on all my stainless pans, they come out looking like new every time.

Thank you for this great video! I have been looking at all different brands and think I am finally ready to settle on this brand of stainless steel products.
Thank you for all the tips.
Any time!
Very nice demonstration and great advice.
Great work Steve!!!!
As someone that is new to cooking with stainless, I really appreciate this video.
Just the video I needed. Thanks Steve
Go get 'em, Steve!
Thank you!!! Excellent video
You are welcome!
Thanks! I was wondering how to use The Bar Keeper's Friend. A lot of people talk about it.
very helpful - thank you!!

Love Barkeepers Friend, use it all the time (powder) have never seen paste BKF in stores.. I even use it on my cast iron if needed.
Great Video. Thanks😊😊
Wow love cooking ❤❤❤

Thank you so much my problem solved very helpful
What utensils do I use with my new stainless steel fry pan
I use wooden utensils. Steel ones should be fine, but I'm really good at scratching my pans (even though that's not that big of a deal with stainless steel pans). I dislike plastic and silicone, as those tend to get damaged quite easily and bits end up in my food.
These pans cleaned up so well! Bar keepers friend is 👌
More of Steve please
Is the yellow and green sponge ok to use like the blue one he has?
Sure!
Just cleaned up a level 2 today! 🤩
Hi! Should I wash my pans right when I finish cooking (pan is still warm) or do I let the pan cool down completely before cleaning it? Thanks!
Excellent. THANKS!
You're welcome!
For most stuck on things (like egg) I just add cold water and let it soak. After one or two hours every stuck bit comes loose. I can use a dish washing brush to wipe it off. For dark stains I have to work a bit harder or longer, but it does work. Hope this helps. Thanks for the video.
Great tip!

Thanks. Great video
I love the video. I have the 12" pan and love it. Does it hurt to let the water soak in the pan?
No. It’s fine.
do you need to season the pan again after cleaning?
I have the made-in cleaner stuff, similar to bar keeps friend, but when I used it with my pans - they stayed discolored (biggest issue is on the bottom of the pan). Any recommendations?
Love the video!
@Steve Barnett Thank you! I tried it again with the cleaner and I finally got it to work! I had to do it for a long time. But I noticed it started to take the made-in logo off of the bottom, which made me wonder - are these cleaners damaging to the pans over time?
Thanks, man.
Can I use a green and yellow scotchguard sponge?
What do you use to clean around rivets? Thanks!
Toothbrush is a great hack
Good stuff - thanks!
Hey Steve, Do you have a stainless steel cookware set you prefer or can recommend?
Steve, can I put a few drops of Dawn in with the water, bring to boil?
Sure! You can absolutely use Dawn on our stainless steel products :)
Great tips👌🏻. I will try with the BonAmi powder cleanser instead. It has no harsh chemicals (5 ingredients) and it's non-scratch.
Thanks for sharing!!
VIDEO WELL DONE.
Is it safe to use scrub daddy on stainless steel pans ?
Can I use a stainless stratch pad/bud on my stainless steel Made In skillet?
Hey Steve, do you do house calls? All those pans look like the results of my wife's cooking.... in her favorite pan!
Check out the pre release enabled dutch oven in the background, my name is on the list for purchase Feb1st and I've been wanting made in to make something like this for a while.
I signed up for that dutch oven, I cannot wait until they release it. 😁
If the Dutch oven is over $100 I'm going to pass on that
Cannot see on my small screen. Are you using the abrasive side or the soft side of the sponge?
I love this
Is barkeepers friend food safe?
Is baking soda the same as barkeepers ?
Totally different things.
Can you use a metal spatula on stainless steel pans?
yes!
Was hoping you would do a video on this soon! Subscribed last night and look what popped up this morning! Thanks guys, excellent performance as always Steve :)
