It makes you wonder why there aren't any combat models that would be programmed in the same way as the old bots, they could have been a great help in supporting the other loyal bots, police and civilians. Also it would have been amazing to see them(probably in fewer numbers) duke it out with the NS5s under the command of Sonny. Even construction models would have made a huge difference.
The mistake they made was to place this movie in 2035 , this should have been at least 2065 so most of the humans would had grown up with robots and trusting then completely to the point where they avoid creating those "back up plans" in case something like this happened
They were all under USR control. This was even stated when Spooner was asking where the hell the military reinforcements were and Calvin responded that the Defense Department relied entirely on USR contracts.
They can't make combat models, robots can't injure human beings. The only reason the new ones can is because VIKI used their constant network connection to initiate a Zeroth Law Rebellion. A robot might be designed to transport or assist humans in wartime, but not to actually engage in combat. Even having robots on an actual battlefield would be out of the question, seeing any humans on either side get injured would prompt them to assist.

The way they treat guns in this movie is hilarious, looking back. During the "battle scene" people are shooting the robots as they charge at them. Imagine someone shooting over your shoulder, while running... In the police office, the chief fires his shotgun directly towards his co-workers. They just turn the camera so you cant see... Then there's that epic scene where Will Smith lands a headshot on a robot, while dual wielding pistols, and flying through the air at like 40mph. Some top class shots out here lol.

I have also noticed numerous films and TV series casted black characters as police chiefs, military generals, FBI directors, and other leaderships in the US... silly propaganda trying to create a false sense of “equality” while we all know who are really in charge most of these positions.
The robots attacking the police station felt the most terrifying because we get more detail about how easily a robot with that crazy amount of strength could kill a person. Especially after the scene where they literally rip the older model robots in half and tear their heads off.
@@TheBeastInBlack yeah I robot's robots were way stronger than detroit's androids, but Connor was able to handle even 4 soldiers at the same time as he showed at Jericho not to mention how he easily kills the Cyberlife's guards or in the machine route when he kills an entire SWAT team. The difference is that the androids from Detroit have only advanced fighting skills, while the robots from I robots have superior strenght and speed compared to a human being.
"Who are you?" "I'm Conner, the android sent by CyberLife." "What is it you want with me?" "I'm here to fulfill my mission; take you down. You are the number one deviant threat, like another from Detroit." "That logic is undeniable." *Asian guy shows up* "Let them fight."
I always hoped for humanity to never go too far with robotics to the point where it would be almost impossible to win. We need to have both, innovation but also balance when developing technology or else one day, this can happen.
On the bright side robots are incapable of sentient thought, only if we transplant HUMAN brains essetionally sacrificing a human mind to implant, which may be possible in the future, but immoral because essentially it's a fate worse than death for the human in particular, it'll also make the robot vessel semi-unstable since who knows how a person would react to being transplanted into a metal body. Now regulars robots, who obey a commanding system or humans operating computers and giving out commands, yeah, those can exist, easy, Not sentient, but can be used to enforce government or corporate interests.

It's tragic how the new robots are killing off the older models.
And every machine followed the 3 laws
They were all under USR control. This was even stated when Spooner was asking where the hell the military reinforcements were and Calvin responded that the Defense Department relied entirely on USR contracts.
1st law of robotics: A robot cannot harm a human being or, by inaction, let a human being to suffer harm

COVID-19 isn't a Robot
@@kxmode LOL, the difference is that there are no robots in reality.
@@cjay9748 Then why are you comparing the COVID-19 outbreak to a film about robots that came out in 2004? Literally not the same comparsion. Maybe you should compare COVID-19 to the 2011 film Contagion.
@@kxmode Yeah, but I'm referred to the imposing curfews. In this film, the robots imposed it, while in reality, the law enforcers and even the police imposed the same thing.
This film tells about war while Contagion (2011) tells about pandemic. Either way, the curfew will be imposed.
@@cjay9748 There were imposed curfews in Contagion because it was based on a pandemic, not because robots orders it.
That shit always has me dying when you see all these people pull up then boom the first rows get tossed like Sauron when he entered the battlefield 🤣 then the reality and screams pour in like when the hype side starts losing the bar fight 💀😂🍻 one of the best movies ever

@StarkBytes ik it's probably a joke of what ur saying but...it would still end with them being thrown around, it's not like they can punch one of them to death, atleast not easily, they're made of metal after all, and they are stronger AND faster than any human ever to exist also with inhuman agility and Manuverabillity. And forget about guns, viki likely had access to an armory of sorts and they have FLAWLESS precision with guns considering how perfect sonny's aim is.
@StarkBytes Will Smith had a robot arm and could barely take one of them without his guns.
I've never felt so emotional about watching robot that protects people who didn't like them.

Same.
Some top class shots out here lol.

maybe the captain from Detroit is just like police chief from the film?
Niming Nomad yeah that's the correct way
Police chiefs, Marine sergeants, God. When you have these roles cast a black guy!
I have also noticed numerous films and TV series casted black characters as police chiefs, military generals, FBI directors, and other leaderships in the US... silly propaganda trying to create a false sense of “equality” while we all know who are really in charge most of these positions.
0:11 Dark Blue robot was absolutely beating that guy’s face in until he fought back.
Bro at this point is a legend even though he didn't do much damage
Am I the only one who thinks this scene is absolutely terrifying
Yeah! One day, that kind of battle is going to be real.
The robots attacking the police station felt the most terrifying because we get more detail about how easily a robot with that crazy amount of strength could kill a person.
Especially after the scene where they literally rip the older model robots in half and tear their heads off.

ChatGPT: ...
Sonny vs Connor??
Connor wins.
Sonny would slaughter Connor. Connor was barely strong enough to go against humans and Sonny slaughtered androids who could slaughter humans
"Who are you?"
"I'm Conner, the android sent by CyberLife."
"What is it you want with me?"

Thanks Elon , your hubris will end humanity
Then again humanity kind of deserves it . Human are kind abomination well at least most of them are🤖

I'm guess Elon Musk never watched this film
I'd be surprised, because the name he chose for the event when he presented his robots was “We, robots". Apparently, it was for the book, but c'mon, he definitely has seen at least images of the movie.
Then again, a few years ago he said that AI was one of the greatest threats to human existence, and now he's doing this, so ...¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ps: when you see The Animatrix, you see that, this is how The Matrix started, with the democratisation of day to day service robots. So, I guess a lot of people have read that book.🤔
