My Spanish town church is celebrating Rorate Caeli Mass tomorrow morning at 7h30. My priest said, come to mass even if you f 46:34 eel nothing. You feel nothing in the presence of God. You have to persist. It doesn't depend on you anyway. Persistence is all. However you feel, go.

Unscripted team: I loved this show although I must say that, unlike the majority of your obviously highly intelligent audience, it was a bit of a struggle for me. Metaverse, mystical connotations, ontological, eschatology, cosmic order- and that’s just in the 1st 5 minutes. I took a break half way thru and came back next day armed with a dictionary, thesaurus, and a couple web browsers open just in case. The 2nd half was excellent and so intriguing that I ordered Dr. Haugen’s book! Catholic Unscripted is very much appreciated and you are all the best. Merry Christmas everyone !!

Katherine, my heart breaks also for the many who have been deceived so often as I see it, through no fault of their own. Poor catechesis, lack of holy leaders. unbelieving parents, etc... has left them vulnerable to the demonic lies. That is my main reason for daily Mass and rosary- to free these poor souls from the bondage of the evil one. But I also think that bringing beauty and true JOY, not happiness, together with sacramental grace and prayer into the marketplace will work most efficiently to combat the ugliness of life divorced from the spirit. The natural law is written on our hearts and the desire for Truth, Beauty and Goodness cannot be extinguished- we need to live lives that emulate the Beauty of Truth and Goodness.

As an Irish Catholic I particularly like what Catherine said approximately 30 minutes in. The question is also asked about challenging the ‘political theology’. Perhaps I am nieve in thinking that Irish catholics tend to like the ‘peasant’ approach the most. Mass beginning and end, along with personal prayers, the rosary still commonly recited. There is still an attachment to grottos (imitations of Lourdes) and ancient holy wells. Ancient pilgrim walks to holy sites and an activity that is finding renewal. The Angelus twice a day. The former Irish President Mary McAleese is now a theologian recently presented a tv series where she walk these pilgrim paths with various celebrities to talk about spiritual life.
I would prefer to separate ‘gay marriage’ (a civil matter - concerning inheritance tax and our civil laws) from the general political theology you spoke about. We understand the sacredness of marriage between a man and woman for procreation. However, our societies and longer lives have become complex in this modern world. In lreland where traditionally we had large families, that some children were ‘gay’ was not unusual. Everyone conformed to a ‘public Christian’ behaviour so being gay was seen as just being a little ‘eccentric’. In the 1960’s 70’s 80’s up to decriminalisation, laws against gays were rarely if even enforced. People need companionship, including gay people. It doesn’t follow that a ‘gay’ couple are doing much more than like older siblings living together as was & is very common in Ireland.
Finally I add a short video of hope - the burning and rebuilding of St Mel’s cathedral is a message of modern day hope. The church was an inferno but by what seems a miracle a large painting of the holy family survived. There are longer documentary’s on the restoration by this one is just 2 minutes.

Catherine, I am so glad you said these words about wanting all to become catholics, not because of anything else but wanting others to share in the undiluted catholics faith. Given to us by Jesus Himself and handed down through the generations via the Magistirum. We would not be doing anyone any favours, nor have we any right to give away any beliefs or parts of our Catholic faith. It isn't ours to give away. This program is so heartwarming to us who want all people to have what we have for them. Not for me or for any other reason, but for them alone. God bless you all and your families. And a very blessed Christmas to you all.🙏🙏🙏🙏

Katherine, I love your comment that as a cradle Catholic you grew up with mystery vs. intelligibility. Me too! And I’m older than you. The mystery drew me in when there was even more mystery, and one of the first films I saw was The Sound of Music which helped to solidify my love for the beauty of the Church, the sense of mystery, the idea of purpose, transformation, and redemption.

43:00 ~ish, thank you Gavin, that's a wonderful way of describing Protestantism. They had medicine for the illness of the Church at that time, but repudiated all nourishment in favour of the medicine.
The translation of the Bible, for example, was a fantastic reaction to the illness of the Church (let's be honest, the Papacy) - on both sides. The people of Europe snapped that up and literacy, as a much lesser material by-product, soared.

Thank you, and I value and enjoy your channel and talks. May I ask you, please, if you have time and space, to look into the miscarriage of justice in the Lucy Letby 'case'. It is a simply awful persecution of an innocent nurse, that began as workplace bullying, and grew inexorably from there. The narrative is gradually changing, not least since the Mark McDonald press conference last Monday, where very powerful exculpatory evidence was revealed.

And you are right in that it doesn't need Protestant revolutionaries nor two-faced Francis flunkey's, it need's people of firm faith to right the ship again. Or better so many people of firm faith and sound catechisis that it becomes impossible to take the ship off course.

Great to hear the conversation, I would not say it is not for Catholics to participate in the political life, but as GK Chesterton said all there is for conversation is Religious and Politics. The problem is that politics and the church has been modernized and removed from Christ Kingship over all Nations. I suggest the book They Have Uncrowned Him by Archbishop Lefebrve. But I would say I would rather read a political take from a catholic that sees it through the Lens of the Church, as did St. Augustine in his work the City of God. Or Dante's Inferno. The thing is if Christ is not enthroned in the hearts of men, or society, then we only see politics or the modern church theology as dry wood with no life, for it has been removed from its soul or body. The Justice due to God allows for men to seek truly what is true, now what Dr. Haugen's work does is point out this battle between evil men that try to capture what is due to God, for themselves, for their own reality and power, while the Church's responsbility is the great commission as our Lord said, Teach and Baptize all nations.

At the end of the day, the Apostolic Catholic Church is life, and without it, you face an eternal death.
The Catholic Church is the umbilical chord by which we are attached to God and through which we receive all the sacramental sustenance we need to grow into Christ-•likeness. If that chord is severed, we perish. If we die with that chord intact and healthy, we are duly born into a new kingdom of God’s eternal presence, and behold our Father’s face.

Well, we can overthink it. It's a tendency to think our analysis has got it right. Now, if one is a secular creature, imbued with the gnostic political bug, which is to say, self-referential living the Zeit Geiss, loving the echo chamber, applauded by the academy, affirmed by movies, ads, entertainment, well then to such persons, it is the Christian who is the gnostic. Not merely that, but someone out of touch with reality, it is the same as it was for the communists, believers were considered mentally ill, this is tacitly and practically the situation today.
The solution is one of evangelization at every opportunity, you can plant a seed, make a suggestion, offer to pray for this or that, hand out a medal or scapular with a prayer card, little things. When you make a purchase at a store, say God Bless You, have a great rest of the day. I find it easy in conversations with strangers to inquire if they have a faith tradition, and take if from there. No, the answer is not playing the game in politics, nor proclaiming Trump as the best, but surely surely we can indeed celebrate the much much much "lesser of two evils" as a victory over an assured catastrophic alternative choice.
No thoughtful Catholic sees the solution in politics, the solution is individual conversion. God is a one-on-one kind of guy. One-on-one with the Virgin, same with every saint, same with how Jesus behaved, VERY individual in attention, as any Father would be with his little ones.
There is no need for kings to replace presidents, there is a need for Godly leaders. There is no need to fear AI, nor the minions of hell; they are at it in ways we will never know in this world.
The enemy apes the things of God all the time: perverted "marriage", fake sacraments, like the placebo mentioned in the previous video, or, a rather ultimate attack on "this is MY body" for abortion, still whispering into women's ears, clearly the utopian man as god is again aping heaven.
Will AI be the evil unholy spirit?
We must engage with the world to evangelize it, to give witness, we must participate in politics, business, the academy, entertainment, in all of it, to give witness. Our failure to evangelize is why we are where we are. The steam went out of it after Vatican II, now we make nice-nice. Now we like Genghis Khan isn't he a sweetie! Let's have a Luther stamp, for what - posting letters to hell?
So, pray, hope, don't worry. Evangelize. Plant the seeds.

But the anti-God people have given up on reason also, so the arguments we offer to them are often discarded. (As GKC I think said, when one turns to sin, eventually one even gives up reason.)

I've noticed that. About 20 years ago the so-called New Atheists tried to use reason to disprove God. Dawkins' God Delusion book was an example of that but the problem is that science tends to be ambivalent and many new discoveries are not helpful for them. So we see more emotional arguments nowadays or people simply assuming that God doesn't exist, the reasons why they think that never explained. (Perhaps because they've never thought about it).

I've read the book and have to say it is nonsensical in almost every way. He recognises that we live in a far from perfect world and argues that what the world now needs is a total return to pre-Conciliar Catholicism. The Catholic Church in history has hardly suggested we can trust them in any way. If you want to believe total nonsense his book is for you.

The book suggests that what works in a time of Christendom really doesn't work in an apostolic time, and vice versa, so the book suggests that we realize that we are in an apostolic time and adjust our approaches.

The manifestation of the universe as a complex idea unto itself as opposed to being in or outside the true Being of itself is inherently a conceptual nothingness or Nothingness in relation to any abstract form of existing or to exist or having existed in perpetuity and not subject to laws of physicality or motion or ideas relating to non-matter or the lack of objective Being or subjective otherness. There is no fusion of matter and spirit in the Incarnation! Christ is real man and real God, one person but two natures; it is not a question of FUSION, but of UNION, without fusion or confusion between them.
On another note, in the Greek Tradition and language the Sacraments are called Mysteries (Μυστήρια)

      The Incarnation is a Mystery.
Paul and Timothy explain, as follows.
      'Philippians 2:
6 (Jesus )Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7 But made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, and in habit found as a man.
8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient unto death, even death on a cross.'

Astonishing that CU obviously uses AI for its channel. Apart from the mistakes coming in with it i wonder what else here is "AI"? Funny, Ashenden even names the artificial possibilities as a danger for the faith. So the title nails it: what's really going on here? The warnings of paganism are surely important, so i would also look at some questionable, but pope-supported apparitions, turning into that direction, but nevertheless enthusiastically taken in by miracle-moved "catholics". Whatever is said or advised or propagandised as "good", especially by the mainstream- catholicism, needs to be examined very well. Apart from that i correspond most with the clear thoughts of Catherine, she seems very well rooted in catholic faith.

Yeah, he folk him highly intelligent and to be a Roman Catholic is just unbelievable, but just to let you know in the King James version Bible, which is the inspired to God for the English speaking people. I don’t know what if there was 70 scholars that translated from the Hebrew and the Greek into English we can’t do a better job than them, but there’s no place in the Bible what there’s a word Trinity or three persons or none of this nonsense. That’s a Catholic construct. I think it was ratified I think in 325 A.D. D The council I see I got some clown named Tour and Coin. The phrase but got it. Jesus said he’s the I am. There’s like one. God God is a spirit and God was manifest in the flash. That’s all he came in the body we are made in his image. We have a body soul in the spirit and as a father on the Holy Ghost there one Jesus said if you see me, you seen the father he’s the father father in the flash. She said the words I speak I speak not myself, but the father that dwell of thin may do with the works you get it so it’s not like they talk to each other like the three amigos or something nonsense. I know people that actually believe that they just communicate three separate Alex and they’re like buddies It’s it’s insane. It is a bit of a mystery, but we need to stick with the scripture quote the Bible don’t fabricate nonsense traditions if they conflict with the scriptures of traditions are wrong. It’s that simple very simple but there’s one God God was manifesting the Foot for him. The Bible says with all the fullness of the Godhead body and you were completed him not them. OK it’s only one God he came in the body that’s Jesus Christ. Jesus is the father son and the Holy Ghost that’s right.
