This figure looks amazing. Granted the simplisticness of the animated series it really captures what the spirit of what they had been doing
Just for clarification: we in Germany can get the figures of Super7 over a month earlier because Space-Figuren.de and some other retailers import them directly from the Chinese factory via air freight which is of course much quicker than the "boat" on the Pacific on which the figures for Super7 are transported. This will be the case again with the Vintage Collection Wave 2, Club Grayskull Wave 4 and William Stout Collection. Only the Power-Con Exclusives we will get later. ;-)

Just got mine last week from BBTS and have no issues so maybe it was the first few batches you folks got that had issues
I was wondering how she would fit on Swiftwind. Thanks for showing that extra bit. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised with how she came out overall when I unboxed the wave. The zero head movement was disappointing but it was great to see the detailed hair sculpt. Trade off on that.
Unfortunately, I think you’re absolutely right about the shiny plastic probably being here to stay in the foreseeable future. Solid review as always. Well done.
Got mine today. From some angles she looks okay, and others, not so much. Agreed with the eyes. They are spaced a bit on the art on the back, but it really looks off on the figure. Beyond the paint of the prototype, the sculpt seems a bit different. The prototype's head looks more elongated and the figure's head looks a bit more wide. Maybe it's just me. It's not terrible, but definitely shy of the awesomeness of what we were first shown. Not a big surprise though.
At this point I wish they wouldn't show us hand painted prototypes, it gets people to riled up when we know we're not going to get that level of detail.
@@ToyBro Well, Brian said awhile back, I believe after Filmation Teela, or maybe it was Sorceress, that they were not going to show anything other than finalized or close to finished product. It may have been Tri-Klops now that I think of it. But yeah, it would be best, but I don't think it's unfair of us to expect what is being shown. They NAIL it with some figures, as exhibited with most of this wave. Why the females are lagging I just don't know.
Is this the best/only option for a filmation she-ra in 2021?

On the subject of Super 7, after admiring them for a while I finally ordered some ReAction figures the other day. Can’t wait to finally have them.
Is she short like the Sorceress & Teela releases? Pegs on the hips even, too? Seems like a good release from Super 7.

I actually prefer the molded flesh/shiny plastic over a paint job.
She gets the job done for me. I like her a lot. Super7 has shown consistent improvement with female figures, they aren't quite there yet, but they're getting there and the effort shows. I do hope they do more Great Rebellion, Bow, Glimmer, and so on. It seems that Super7 likes to do She-Ra and Horde and then they move on.
everyone hates on it but its still 90 bucks on ebay. u wud think it would be 10 dollars. if u want to see the most accurate she-ra , look at the pop culture shock shera.

They are nice but ridiculously expensive for what they are.
You can sugarcoat it all u want , but there is absolutly No comparison with the Matty She ra headsculpt. The Matty one was basedon the cartoon , so i think there is a legit comparison. The only thing i prefer on the super 7 one is the inclusion of the filmation weapons

The shiny skin isn't an issue under normal lighting, I feel.
did you get the he man filmation ultimate figure just wondering why his shield is gigantic
I did, but I haven't opened him yet. I have no idea why the shield is so big, but I'm trying to find out for my own curiosity.
My current guess is that it represents a few things. Its similar to some Alcala designs, its similar to the DC mini comic design, but there are also instances in the cartoon where Adam uses a huge shield just like this (all grey though, no red) when he's training against MAA.
Looks great but the thumbs are bad and don't work very good to hold the 🗡️ sword.

The shine on the plastic has been confirmed to be by design in an interview. They want to minimize any errors during paint application by basically avoiding it whenever possible. They did say that they want to improve the sand blasting of the surface to make it look a less plastic'y tho.
I've not seen that interview, interesting. Maybe they'll lessen the shine eventually, then.

@@godphoenix66x :D not that I know of. And I get it, in Europe we pay the equivalent of 67$ (tax included) per figure, before shipping. So we should expect top quality... My point was merely that I find her "alright", standing in my display case with the other figures, the eyes - at least on my figure - are not a deal breaker. A tiny bit "off" for sure, but not nearly as awful as some other figures we had in the past. S7 is *nearly* there, at least as far as I am concerned.

The Classics She-Ra has as much, if not more, shine on the skin than the Filmation one. I also think the eyes on the Filmation one look WAY better than Classics. The Classics She-Ra looks stoned.
I have both and that is just not true at all. The filmation has an incomparable amount shine compared to the classics. The classics has much better articulation, and the eyes actually don’t look like they drooping apart. Super7 blew it again

I hate that the arms do not go all the way down the side and I hate the hip articulation Super 7 is giving the female figures. The figure does look nice but it does not need to hinder articulation.
