Filmation He-Man doesn't look down on anyone.
Looks like He man got a nice workout on the set of American Gladiators and hit the beach afterwards to get a tan.
I had him since the start of February & I never knew about the glow in the dark feature. Thanks for sharing. I actually had a lot of fun with the robot head.
Anyone that has a gripe with his big shield, they could all kiss his arse. Finally a real shield. Before, all the shields are too damn small it's like what's the the f'n point of having one. I luv this new shield. He looks even better with a proper sized shield now.

Being able to get Filmation He-man was actually the main reason why I started a CG collection now (late to the game, as it were). So I appreciate that S7 released him again; hopefully they'll do the same with a few other wave1-2 characters down the line. The after-market prices are just nuts, honestly...
Have him and Skeletor currently on the shelf above the rest of my boxed Club Grayskull Set. They look awesome!
I only wish his whole harness was removable, like the Mattel figure. It would be nice to swap harnesses. Plus with Faker, he didn't have a sheath on his back in his one scene appearance. The weapons are nice, especially that shield! Prince Adam will be coming with the actual Filmation sword. I wonder how that sword will fit in the sheath, and how many collectors will display their He-Man characters with that sword, over this one.

Just realized that the exposed elbow pegs are a good bit larger on the original. Makes me wonder if companies will ever go the route of Mafex. At least on the new Spider-Man figure there's no exposed pegs..so it's possible.
This figure looks great. I hope he has better getting hands to hold the power sword. Also, it would have been nice if something had been finally done to be able to keep the swofully inside the sword sheath just a plus if they did
That shine will wear down a bit after handling it for a couple of years, probably. Either way, I really like what S7 did with this one. Glowing eyes! Awesome. Too bad they used the wrong wrist swivel for this right hand. Otherwise, I really like this release. Ordered mine thru BBTS so it may take 19 more months before I get it...ugh.

Good review, congratulations. Super7 is not perfect and neither Mattel is perfect. Both have pros and cons. But as general I still prefere the Super7 one.

just got this recently feb 2023 and whatever neandertal / caveman version mattel releases this Filmation version will always stomp any version mattel would make- great comparison

I ordered these Ultimates figures from BBTS and I tell you, I just can't wait to take them out of the box and admire the awesome job that was done with these figs. I ordered Ultimate He-Man, Skeletor & from the Filmation figs I got She-Ra , Fisto & Chopper. Awesome figs man. Thanks for posting this vlog. 👍👍

Unfortunate you didn't pre-order. You'll be probably spending $70 on eBay for them. The retail cost on these are so outrageous to begin with; but then the aftermarket right after they are released..😬

Super7 is not perfect, ok! But: Mattel has too small eyes (and also cross-eyed), ugly pants and horrific ankle joints. So I still prefer Super7 ever!
I don't know how Super 7 can mess up the sheath.

That sheen is no big deal to me. Hit the figure with some matte spray.My original He-Man and Skeletor are still boxed. Bought two of these and one Skeletor. I think Mattel's has the superior head sculpt, but this one's ankles make up for it.

Exactly. The horrific ankle joints from Mattel is a very much bigger problem than the "too glossy colors" of the Super7...
I don't know if is just my impression but this ultimate has the eyes expression much more like in the cartoon. Am I wrong?

Hello ToyBoy I wanted to know if you know there is some possibility of being able to acquire only the empty boxes of HE-MAN and Skeletor of the Grayskull Club line. I already have those characters but sorryly their boxes have broken and wanted to have them again. From now and thank you for the prompt and positive response.
I already have a lot of the characters and I keep them with their original boxes. I am willing to pay for the boxes and if necessary even the shipment because I live in Argentina.

Nice review. Do you know if they will continue to make ultimate versions of some of the other characters? Arrived late to the MOTU classics and this route is my way to recover without breaking the bank.

Is one foot slightly off balance in this figure?
I love my mattel he man plus he comes with the original club greyskull packaging. I was kinda bummed that they put the filmation figures as ultimates because i was hoping for more classic ultimates but like you said this is a no brainer to get that classic filmation faker and robot he man going on in duplicates plus the accessories. Good job my dude! 🐊✋
Mattel has good colors, ok. But however has Mattel ugly pants, the eyes are too small and look like crossed-eyes and also horrific and junk/trashing ankle joints. Because of this all I still prefer the Super7.

Cmon...the Mattel face is wonderfull...while the Super7 face (the original head) is not even close. I dont think theres a comparison there. I do like the Fakor head. But as the main Filmation He man on a shelve? Mattel wins .

Im so torn ...i have mattel he man & skeletor ... but i dont know whether to get these super7 ones .. i want a go to he man & skeletor ??? Any advice .. i could always get a fisto & grizzlor instead ... or a stridor ...
This Skeletor is the one to get, Mattel He-man is still better for me in some ways, but this version comes with so much extra stuff that both have their up sides for me.
I think i may skip these then & go for fisto & grizzlor on the after market ...
Although I can see these going for anything between $100 -$200 in a year or so .....

Erick Munoz Mattel hasn’t made a motu figure in years so it’s way better than nothing. Wouldn’t you say? Anyway the ankles are better, the tolerances are better all around plus way more accessories, it’s certainly better than Mattel.
He's baby oiled up like Hulk Hogan! Seriously in normal lighting he looks fine.
I have him in normal lights and he still looks like an oiled up body builder - especially when he's side by side with any of the other Filmation figures.
Corey Harmon well he’s definitely showing the most skin outta the bunch. I guess kicking ass all day is a sweaty job. Still an improvement, I believe.

So I tried to use the optional head with the grow-in-the-dark eyes last night, it is odd but mine doesn't appear to grow after I applied a amount of fluorescent light. Does anybody experience the same issue?

Yeah, whenever I do a video I always use blacklight just because its stronger and shows up better on camera. It does glow under my normal studio lights though. But not as bright or for as long.

@@MutatedGuy Yeah, I agree. He looks much better than the Mattel with the horrible ankle joints and pants and also little cross-eyed eyes. I'm trying to say that the Mattel has ugly eyes and this Super7 Ultimate has much better eyes.

It's a nice figure, but he's too sweaty looking, like he was slathered in ky jelly. Like him though wished I had picked him up and skeletor too, along with hordak.
he makes a great Faker with the different color harness and the shiny skin can be seen as "synthetic" but for the main He-Man Mattel looks better as the S7 glossy head looks horrible next to the painted head of MAA

It's an awful figure compared to the Mattel version. Hair is too far away from the head, no wrist swivel to hold the sword aloft. its not as bulky as any previous he man by either mattel or super7 and it feels waxy and looks like he's sweating. Save your money and get the mattel version is you can find it.
