updates with decimals are bug fix updates. a new number update is a feature update which happens every year. they will always release new features every year.

The modular apps allows the content, design, and layout of apps to be updated at the will of the app programmers because each app is run within its own container. So, you won't need to update the app version in the app store. Android apps already had this. Most notably, the UA-cam app has done this for years.

Here we go again. _Skeuomorphism_ is _not_ the antithesis to _flat._ Skeuomorphism is about making apps look like real-world counterparts, not about 3D depth or drop shadows. Apple never abandoned skeuomorphism. The Notes icon still looks like a notepad; the calendar icon still looks like a calendar; the email icon still looks like a letter; the Safari icon looks like a compass. Adding depth or 3D is _not_ skeuomorphism. Flat design has always been boring and never been necessary. It’s a welcome development to see Apple moving back to depth, even if only a bit.
So many software updates and still no copy paste cache / clipboard which is accessible, instead simply copy paste one after one... why???? That is really a showstopper for a nowadays smartphone... and the overview in the calendar is compared to Samsung aweful as well... in the monthly view you have to click at each day to see the appointments... there is no total overview... and what is with multitasking... ?

I work with people with disabilities and can tell you - in built eye tracking got soooo much attention and still gets mentioned even a couple of weeks later. While it's pitched as an Accessibility setting and will be a game changer for many who can't afford high end iOS MFI compatible eye gaze cameras (they start around $2k), I have a feeling eye tracking will become the way many people choose to access their devices as we transition to wearable and eventually largely screenless computing.
So does every Android manufacturer. What do you expect, groundbreaking, innovative tech every year? You obviously know nothing about technology or the markets it’s intended for, but the companies making and selling the products do.

For instance, even the S22 Ultra doesn’t have Android 15 yet. The S20, only 2 years old, can run Android 13, but they stopped updating it after that. That’s absolutely garbage.
Since, they are re-introducing AI, there will be one feature for sure, that is transcribing text feature from conversation. That can be taken in lieu of call record feature that is absent on iOS since beginning.
There's so much i would change for the iOS, but i think that's just me: clipboard, splitscreen, calculator app to have history and partial result shown before pressing equal without installing a third party app, and last but not least the most important of them all, the cursor to be placed in the middle of the word when i click on a word to edit. The cursor issue was actually what made me switch back to Android. It's insanse how much i use it and i just didn't wanna have to drag, just to press in the middle of a word. Such a shame they don't have it.

Wdym fixing the OS. My biggest complaints with the iPhone are A) Siri is clunky and almost completely useless and B) lack of sideloading.
I like all of this. I wish they’d add split screen multitasking and ability to change keyboard colors while texting.

Back button., changing settings (Bluetooth, wifi, data conenction) on status bar should be as easy as Android are still missing.

Apps being “more module” is probably just decoupling updates to the apps from the latest version of iOS.
As an iPhone user apple literally does the bare minimum every year and is late on everything they just use big words to make it seem new.

The photos app needs to have a option to slow down the videos or speed them up I would also like to see split screen multitasking

This is all very interesting. Siri and the calendar are in desperate need of updates anyway. What worries me about all of this is how it will affect our privacy. I’d be interested to know:)
