The care and detail nice job
Thank you for showing how to do this. Just got my black emblems yesterday and headed to pickup the right supplies after watching this.
Where did you buy them I want some for my GMC Sierra single cab
Congrats AJ
Thanks for posting; very helpful video. I've never seen an erasing wheel , so I might give that a try. I get really good results using "Rapid Remover" adhesive remover and a plastic putty knife to remove the remnants of decals and badges.
About to do this to my car tomorrow!
Another great video Chad!
Thank you Tony! Hope all is well. Have a Merry Christmas! Keep that challenger warm.
Great video. Thank you
Pro Tip: Warm the area with your heat gun right before install. Will stick forever!!
Really perfect job 👌
Ashkorya thank you!!👍🏻
Just finished. This was a pain in the ass! Make sure to buy 3m adhesive remover
I would recommend Rapid Remover for the leftover adhesive. Eats through it like nothing and makes it a lot easier on the paint.
Thats actually really useful thanks for another great vid👌🏻
Thank you!!
Great video
Thank you so much!
That is one monstrous sized tailgate, its like washing a wall !!! Good work though, having a mount for the wheel would be ideal to prevent the skipping but nobody has invented that yet. Cant wait until the Magnetic F150 comes back for its maintenance wash. :)
Yeah they do jump around alot especially when the rubber is still cold. I thought about taking the heat gun to the wheel before I started to see if that would have helped.
Hey just did this how long do you recommend before a wash on your vehicle
I see the bolt on the eraser wheel and just smile because we all know why 😂💀
Thanks for the video. What was it that you put on the sponge to polish? It was where you said "not necessary, but recommended"
Menzerna 2500 w/ a yellow rupes foam pad using the LHR75E buffer.
Thank you so much for watching man!!
Good video
Thanks buddy!
What temp is the heat gun set at?
will this grille badge fit 2014 sierra?
Great video! Very useful. I have a 2018 Sierra Elevation edition that I'm want to debadge. What is the name of the music u used in the vid?
Thanks Ronnie!! I am a member of Epidemic Sound and the song is called Limitless by AGST
What year GMC was this?
Awesome work BTW.. I would love to do all black on mine too
2016 GMC 1500
Has anyone ever experienced letters coming loose or falling off? I just got a 2021 elevation and the M on the front badge is loose. Had watched a video of a gentleman’s duramax elevation having the same problem.
What pound test fishing line?
As always great content!!! #pristine
Thank you!
Good video. But one question what did you use for the prep solvent and what is IPA?
We will generally use the IGL Prep Solvent or Gyeon Prep. IPA is an isopropyl alcohol and water mixture to help remove any kinda of wax, grease etc. Thanks buddy!!
@@PristineAutoDetailing So I can't find anything called "IGL Prep Solvent". Do you have the EXACT name of the IGL product you're talking about?
IPA is Isopropyl Alcohol
Can you use 3M Adhesive remover on the left over adhesive?
I would imagine that would work well. I have never used it.
great video #pristine
Brandon Healy thanks buddy!
I want to replace the chrome one for black. What type of adhesive would I use?
I would try a thin 3m Double Sided Adhesive.
I just put black vinyl decals over mine. Looks good and about $8. Will it hold up, time will tell.
Did it hold up?
@@ThatOneKidd951 Yes it did, put one on front grill and one on stirring wheel.
Big and tar remover is a faster and safer adhesive remover.
What tape did you use or recommend
I try different tapes pretty often but generally stick to the yellow 3m Automotive masking tape. Its all overpriced. Want something that stays attached but doesn't leave a bunch of sticky residue left behind when ya go to remove.

Is that just pain thinner at 2:00?
Yeah
@@PristineAutoDetailing ohh okay, I'm not to smart with vehicles, but that doesn't damage the trucks paint at all?
Have to be careful and not rub the paint for very long or over saturate.
If you are looking for something safer, something like Citrol works great too!

Link to those taillights?
Sorry, I am not sure where the client purchased his lights.
