  • Debadging cars and trucks here in southern California is very popular.
The truck debadging video today is on a 2021 GMC truck where the original GMC tailgate logo was not properly aligned from the factory.
The Expert at Auto Fetish not only performs a badge delete of the stock GMC logo emblem, but replaces it with an updated black GMC logo while simultaneously positions the replacement emblems so they are perfectly aligned.
Many Chevy and GMC truck owners want to replace the original equipment truck emblems with updated aftermarket emblems for a more custom appearance to their ride.
With this time-lapse detailing video, the Expert of Auto Fetish Detail highlights the many steps of truck badge removal and badge replacement of the GMC factory logo.

Darren Thank you for showing US the detailing community how to debadge a GMC Truck. It's all fun and games until an uneducated person or someone who is not trained damages a vehicle. I am grateful for every VIDEO that Darren Priest post I learn something every time from him. He has a lot more experience and just him taking the time to show me and the community how to do it correctly is PRICELESS! Thank you Darren Priest for everything!!!! #autofetishdetail

I just recently ordered a 2024 Blacked out Elevation with the Premium and X-31 off road package. GMC Emblems will be blacked out also. Damn that chrome frame really pops on the Onyx Black. Wish I had seen this video before I placed my order.

Thinking about adding some badges to my tailgate. Currently there is none. What would be the best way to put them on straight and level after I decide where I want them? Thank you

Darren can do what he wants it’s his channel,
I’m thinking the GMC badge was crooked amongst other things because the Company sold out for cheaper labor , I think I would have preferred that big logo off the vehicle but to each his own .
Thanks For the video Darren …

I put the exact same badges on my sierra, but I had the dealership do it; and now the top half of the M isn’t even touching the tailgate. I pulled up this video just to see how they were attached to the tailgate, and didn’t realize it wasn’t clipped into the tailgate at all. The dealership was going to throw away my stock emblems, and acted as if they had to be damaged to be removed; and that they couldn’t be reused. So I assumed they were held in by a clip of some sort. Now I realize it’s just a bonding agent holding it on the tailgate, and its basically peeling off.
Any suggestions on what I could do to fix it and prevent it from falling off?

What is the name of the yellow pad that you're using with the drill to remove the residue? Also is a product like Goo Gone, which is commonly available, okay to use on car paint and clear coat?

My 2023 GMC Denali 1500 just arrived at the dealership. I ordered the black GMC badging and the front and removing the 'Sierra' badge from the rear is a no brainer but I am torn with two options. 1) Replace the red GMC badge on the tail light with black or 2) Just leave the Denali badge on? I think it may look like an empty spot where the GMC badge is suppose to be?

Yeah I feel your pain. 2019 1500 Denali I took off all the emblems just left the GMC. Now my truck looks awesome just need the black grill

If I don't have a stripe off wheel, can I use an adhesive remover or Wd40 with a credit card to get the gunk off?

    • @autofetishdetail
      @autofetishdetail  2 роки тому +2

Sure...if you don't mind a big, fat mess and some scratches from the credit card. I would recommend peeling double-sided tape with your fingers with no chemicals first. Use your finger to "roll' the tape off. Once you have the bulk of the tape removed, then you can use a chemical of your choice to remove the remainder. You can use rubbing alcohol, or acetone as a rule also to remove any residual adhesive and I would recommend a microfiber cloth at that point. I fix plenty of people who hastily tried to remove the emblems themselves in a manner you describe that resulted in them putting plenty of scratches into their paint.

Nice job, but completely unnecessary…. I paid my local GMC dealership to swap the red to black for $217 parts/labor. It literally took them less than 30 mins.

Interesting...my need for attention? Or my attention to needs? A customer who needs this type of work done to perfection is indeed in need. In need of my attention to detail. Both what they want, and need.
