Love how Andy translates the original arrangement to guitar which was all synthesized on the record. Highly underrated guitarist.
I was going to say the exact same thing. He is the secret weapon. You could not put better match in that bend..
Yep. It was written on piano and synth. Police is a FORCE. There will never be another.
It was piano in the original
agreed, but... andy got so lost in the parts early, and stewart put the forest back together in time for an epic finish
Andy Summers is awesome. What a talent.
Andy Summers was a revolutionizer just like Eddie Van Halen was. There is a before & after w these guys. Andy was a very good Jazz guitarist hence why he's so knowledgeable & uses a lot of cool chords. He was also one of the 1st to use effects (non distortion). I bet he inspired U2's The Edge. The Police were the 1st reggae/rock band that became mainstream. If you follow "Rock en Español" you know most of those Latin American rockbands have The Police as their main influence.
I saw The Police in early 1982, and I recall Sting playing a stand-up bass for that song
best performance ever
agree
My favorite song

MCR is great wtf are you on about. Black Parade is classic status
so he actually never hit the right notes live while singing?? The record is the only one where his voice sounds right lol
He likes to play his songs different on every gig
Stop talking outta ya arse ya fckin suitcase!
@@cuecadelacutmost musicians do, otherwise you'd get bored to death. Can you imagine the tens of thousand times groups may play and rehearse their songs
Check out the Hatfield polytechnic gig 1979
@cuecadelacut my uncle pepe says that too. But in my response "playing out of time, tune, lacking & sucking is not adding your own touch".....
OMG !!! They were dreadful !!!
This song doesn't work well live
I agree
why they fired their piano player
Stewart speeding up and playing too fast once again. Love his playing but not his meter.
It’s for the live show, it would be boring asf if played slow
A lot of bands play certain songs faster.
Recording-slow doesn’t really work live
Oh, hi Sting
