i am proud to say i met both these amazing individuals in my younger year i was 14 when i met michael jackson at the meet and greet at virgin mega store in time square i almost didnt go because i lived in cali and it was right after 9/11 and my parents were very skeptical about flying. and i met j.dilla and madlib at a record shop in la called fatbeats talk about humble both these men changed music and i am with great sadness that they are no longer with us but lets keep there legacy alive R.I.P
@ThELaStSoNxx not to mention, he had such range that even when he switched his style up, he did so at an effortlessly high level. While many producers tend to sound the same over the years, he kept flipping the script, yet you can still tell that it was him. I think part of the "hype" comes from the fact he's no longer with us, but his body of work speaks for itself. I'm sure anyone with an open ear can find something from him that they can appreciate. And that's all I have to say about that!
@ThELaStSoNxx I can only speak for myself...I followed Dilla's music back when he was Jay Dee and witnessed the progress he made over the span of his career. His music resonates with me in a way that very few artists have before him or after he passed. If you don't get the "hype", it just may not be your thing, not all music is for everyone. For me, it was his ear for melodies, his drums were ALWAYS on point, and as a beat maker myself, I appreciated his sampling "wizardry".(cont.)
@fabiopercy The name is Jackson NOT Jacko and first off he wasnt creepy at all just misunderstood by people like you im sure that rely's anythinq the Media has to say against MJ . People that ACTUALLY known him have nothinq but GOOD things to say about him. he wasnt creepy at all. he made too much money BUT HE Worked FOR It Come on now man , & MJ wasnt arrogant or greedy with his money . If you gonna talk about MJ at least get your facts right.
