      @@JoaoVictor-hk7iv no I haven't, the only part that i fix as of now is the connection of lcd and the motherboard There some flickering in lcd, replace keyboard And Add ram instead of 2gb ram i upgrade it at 4gb ram. The Ssd in 2nd caddy i upgrade will be soon.

    Honesty, gta 5 running on 2gb of ram and a weak Celeron at ALL is still pretty impressive, even if the performance is bad. Good video!

    lol, i upgraded my cheap 500$ 8 year old samsung laptop more than that: A6-4400m to A10-5750M, 4GB ram to 16GB, 500GB 5400RPM to WD SSD+HDD DUAL BLACK, upgraded Wifi from 1x1 to 2x2, dvd to blu-ray, TN to IPS, and i undervolted the cpu with a script + added vacuum cooler to the fan exhaust. the Integrated GPU was changed with the cpu from 7570m to 8650g that can work with the dgpu 7670m in crossfire. i love it, it's my daily driver, i went to university with it for 4 years and i even have an external power bank for it when i need it for a longer run

      Ok it sounds amazing, but I have to admit that I'd invest that much money on a new laptop instead of changing pretty much every part of an old one.. It's OK if ur upgrading the ram, but when it comes to every actual component... Idk. Yours sounds like a beast, btw

    I think the reason why it gets framedrops and slowdowns sometimes might be the CPU throttling because the cooler was meant to cool a Celeron and not the i7

      @@mmmjpeg The CPU is obviously bottlenecking that GPU,but if that was the case then the game would have low framerates constantly and now just dropping frames whenever it wants.The CPU is thermal throttling because it gets too hot and it lowers its performance for a few seconds

      Another problem, is that he is using a gpu that needs pci-e x8 or x16 to run at it's full potential, and this mini pci-e is x4.

    Terrible, terrible music, but amazing video: well filmed, good, informative angles and the subject is interesting too. Many people are afraid to disassemble their laptops and you show it is easy, so they will be encouraged to maintain their computers.
    Edit: OK, the second song (while you were testing GTA after setting power settings) was so much better and suited as background music.

    Because of your channel, I upgraded my Lenovo Thinkpad L420 laptop with 4 Gb of RAM, 240 Gb HDD, and Intel i3-2310M to 16Gb of RAM, 240Gb SSD Samsung 570 Evo + 1Tb 7200 RPM HDD, and I7-2630QM. It helps me a lot to do some Coding in my Computer Science College and also playing some Low-End games, I can't play some High-End games cause my laptop doesn't have eGPU but it doesn't matter cause it's not a Gaming Laptop. Thanks for inspiring me to upgrade my laptop.

    Don't think you needed to use the Power shell command to add the High performance power option. When you're in the power options screen on the left hand side is an option to "Create a power plan", and when you choose this option it gives you the choice of selecting Power saver, Balanced, or High performance for the plan. Great video as usual none the less.

      @@isheepgr This so called expert in the video didn't say that HM70 chipset in this notebook is locked to certain type of processors, so you CAN install i5 or i7 but it will work only for 30 minutes, then restart. It's hardware locked by Intel to divide markets - X55A is a low end laptop, so you can't just upgrade it for free.

    the rx 580 you are using is designed not to have its fans spinning when not under load so the fans not spinning is normal

    I think you should, instead of the normal thermal paste, add liquid metal to keep the CPU cool with the original cooler.

    hi, i followed your videos and was inspired. i have a lenovo g580 with 3rd gen i7, connected a rtx 2070 super and results were amazing. i got 100 to 80 fps on an external monitor on ultra hd settings. just a tip, dont disable pxe setting in the bios.
